Before a new test can be implemented for operational use, extensive research is required to collect validity evidence that would support the use of scores from the new test. This paper describes two prototyping studies that were conducted as part of a test development project for a new general English listening comprehension test. The purpose of the prototyping studies was to make decisions about the selection of item types to be included in the test as well as to collect supporting evidence for a validity argument for the use of scores from the new listening test. The first prototyping study gathered evidence that would support the domain description inference, that is, whether the test tasks appropriately sample test takers’ general English listening comprehension ability. The second prototyping study also gathered evidence for the domain description inference but with a narrower focus on the specific configuration of one test task. For both studies, test takers' performance on shortened versions of the test and test takers' post-test questionnaire responses were examined. Results from the prototyping studies are presented, along with a description of how they informed decisions about items on the test as well as plans for further research that would produce additional validity evidence for the test.

Korean archery and chinese archery coincided with the origin of mankind. Bows were developed dramatically as shooting tools during the late Old Stone Age. Results of this study from comparison between Korean and Chinese archeries can be summarized as follows. Both of the archeries share their origin and their relevant ways of horse riding and stand-up. In Korean archery, ritual events are performed on a checker square to worship the heaven, the earth and the human being prior to arrow shooting. This is not found in Chinese archery. The two archeries are also different with each other in their materials. Finally, archery is a training for spiritual culture whose participants should do their best to discipline themselves and keep honest in daily life. In this selfish and mechanical society, archery should be established and developed as a popular and national sport through which people can make character training and enliven spirits facing the 21st century.

In this study, electron beam irradiation effects on lignin-derived porous carbons forelectric double-layers capacitors (EDLCs) were demonstrated. Porous carbons (PCs) were preparedfrom lignin via carbonization, chemical activation, and electron beam irradiation. The carbonizedand activated PCs were irradiated with electron beams at various absorbed doses. Based on theanalytical results, the pore area and volume of the PCs increased with an increase in the absorbeddose. The PCs prepared at the optimum dose of 300 kGy showed the highest electrochemicalperformance of the EDLCs. These results indicate that the electron beam irradiation is an effectivemethod to increase the specific surface area and pore volumes of the PCs.

The orbitozygomatic area occupies a key anatomic position in midface, is prone to injury, and plays a prominent role in facial aesthetics. So the facial appearance including orbital shape can be altered by complications of orbitozygomatic fractures. Most possible initial complications include blindness, hyphema, retinal detatchment, and paralysis or entrapment of extraocular muscles. Long term sequelaes include infraorbital nerve dysfunction, loss of malar projection, enophthalmos, and dystopia. Accurate anatomic reduction and rigid fixation is essential for management of orbitozygomatic fractures to minimize those late sequelaes. Conventional fixation devices to fix displaced fracture of facial bone are interosseous wire and miniplate. But interosseous wirings are unstable for primary bone healing and time consuming. Miniplates have great deal in rigid fixation but their high profile and palpability are the main complaints in many patients, especially in orbital rim area. In this article, we reviewed the 30 cases of zygomamaxilla complex fractures with orbital rim fracture fixed with microplates, and discussed the stability of microplate and superiorities in final aesthetics result. The use of microplates in these area permits enough stability of fracture segment with ease of procedures and superiorities in final results without any palpability.
External validation of IBTR! 2.0 nomogram for prediction of ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence

Purpose: IBTR! 2.0 nomogram is web-based nomogram that predicts ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence (IBTR). We aimed to validate the IBTR! 2.0 using an external data set. Materials and Methods: The cohort consisted of 2,206 patients, who received breast conserving surgery and radiation therapy from 1992 to 2012 at our institution, where wide surgical excision is been routinely performed. Discrimination and calibration were used for assessing model performance. Patients with predicted 10-year IBTR risk based on an IBTR! 2.0 nomogram score of <3%, 3%–5%, 5%–10%, and >10% were assigned to groups 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. We also plotted calibration values to observe the actual IBTR rate against the nomogram-derived 10-year IBTR probabilities. Results: The median follow-up period was 73 months (range, 6 to 277 months). The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.607, showing poor accordance between the estimated and observed recurrence rate. Calibration plot confirmed that the IBTR! 2.0 nomogram predicted the 10-year IBTR risk higher than the observed IBTR rates in all groups. High discrepancies between nomogram IBTR predictions and observed IBTR rates were observed in overall risk groups. Compared with the original development dataset, our patients had fewer high grade tumors, less margin positivity, and less lymphovascular invasion, and more use of modern systemic therapies. Conclusions: IBTR! 2.0 nomogram seems to have the moderate discriminative ability with a tendency to over-estimating risk rate. Continued efforts are needed to ensure external applicability of published nomograms by validating the program using an external patient population.
침전제 적하법을 이용한 $TiO_2$ 분말 제조 및 광촉매 특성

Hydrous titanium oxide particles with anatase phase were prepared from 0.05 mol TiCl4 solution using NH4HCO3 as precipitant by the droopping precipitant method. The sequential change of pH is completed by a sudden and steep increase in a pH value of the range of 6~7 to which the concentration of adsorbed OH- and H+ ions on TiO2 surface is equal. Rutile phase started precipitating with anatase phase as an increase of reaction temperature above 6$0^{\circ}C$ in aqueous 0.05mol TiCl4 solution and its specific surface area was found to decrease from 452 $m^2$/g($25^{\circ}C$) to 164$m^2$/g(8$0^{\circ}C$). Specific surface area decreased rapidly when anatase powders precipitated at 4$0^{\circ}C$ were heat-treated at temperature higher 40$0^{\circ}C$. FT-IR result confirmed that it was due to the decrease of OH species within hydrous titanium oxides. The loss of ethanol after illumination of the powder heated at $600^{\circ}C$ and $700^{\circ}C$ for 4 h was 66 and 68.8%, respectively.

돌로마이트 폐기물 슬러지에 Al(OH)₃와 SiO₂를 첨가하여 코디어라이트와 규회석을 합성하고자 하였으나 1250℃소성으로 코디어라이트는 MAS조성에서 합성되지 않았으며 규회석은 합성이 되었다. 돌로마이트 내화물의 내수화성을 증가시키기 위해 슬러지에 Fe₂O₃를 6%이상 첨가하여 소성한 결과 입계에 (Ca·Mg·Al·Fe)SiO₂의 생성으로 인하여 내수화성이 증가되었다. The possibility of synthesis for the cordierite and wollastonite with dolomite waste sludge, Al(OH)₃ and SiO₂ was studied. With the composition of MAS, the cordierite was not synthesized at sintering of 1250℃ and the wollastonite was made at the same temperature. The addition of Fe₂O₃ above 6% to the dolomite for the antislaking behavior has promoted the sinterability of dolomite and (Ca·Mg·Al·Fe)SiO₂ at grain boundary was affecting the increase of antislaking.
