The root of Actinidia arguta was extracted with methanol and the methanol extract was suspended in $H_2O$ and successively partitioned with n-hexane, $CH_2Cl_2$, EtOAc and n-BuOH. Repeated column chromatographic separation of the EtOAc extract resulted in the isolation of two flavonoids (compounds 2 and 3) and two triterpenes (compounds 1 and 4) and $CH_2Cl_2$, extract to afford three lignans (compounds 5-7). Their structures have been established by spectroscopic, means to be (+)-tormentoside(1), (-)-catechin(2), (-)-epicatechin(3), (+)-uscaphic $acid-28-O-[\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$(4), (+)-pinoresinol(5), (+)-medioresinol(6), and (-)-syringaresinol(7).

This paper presents the experimental results to verify the environmental consciousness with economic balances due to cutting fluid behaviors and effectiveness in machining process. The cutting fluid improves the productivity through cooling, lubricating effects, however its environmental impact also increases according to the cutting fluid usage. The primary mechanism in this study is the spin-off motion of cutting fluids away from the rotating workpiece. In this study some machining parameters are adopted to analyze the productivity as well as environmental impact. This study provides the criteria for the resonable cutting fluid usage quantitatively to develop the environmentally conscious machining process.

A Survey was conducted to provide the basic flora data necessary to establish ecosystem conservation and future management plan by researching vascular plants growing on Mt. Chomchal in Jindo. To investigate flora in this area, a total of fifteen days flora survey were conducted from April 2017 to August 2021, including the preliminary investigation. As the results, a total of 416 taxa comprising of 106 families, 369 species, 10 subspecies, 31 varieties and 6 forma including Pteridophyte(24 taxa of 14 families, 23 species, 1 variety), gymnosperm(10 taxa of 4 families, 10 species), angiosperm(334 taxa of 79 families, 291 species, 10 subspecies, 28 varieties, 5 forma), and monocotyledon(48 taxa of 9 families, 45 species, 2 varieties, 1 forma), In this area, a special plant is rare plants (7 taxa of 7 families), endemic plants(7 taxa of 7 families). The distribution of floristic special plants in the survey area was Sorted into five classes(class Ⅰ- Ⅴ), 54 taxa; were in class Ⅰ, 4 taxa; were in class Ⅱ, 26 taxa; were in class Ⅲ, 8 taxa; were in class Ⅳ, floristic special plants total 92 taxa. A total of alien plants (14 taxa of 8 families) and invasive species (2 taxa of 2 families) were surveyed and recorded. The plant community of Cheomchalsan Mountain has been found to exhibit low species composition in most areas, except for the valley, due to the confined environment and lack of light in the Ssanggyesa evergreen broad-leaved forest. It has been confirmed that invasive and exotic plants are invading along the meteorological station and forest road, and appropriate measures are needed. The best area for plant life is the central part of Cheomchalsan Mountain, where rare plants such as Asarum maculatum and Chloranthus fortunei are distributed. This area is thought to have the potential for the occurrence of other rare plants that did not appear in the survey, and education and promotion of awareness for visitors are necessary to prevent damage. In addition, the continuous monitoring of the protection area for the evergreen forest of Cheomchalsan Mountain, which has a high academic protection value, and the valley and surrounding areas of Quercus acuta between Cheomchalsan and Deoksin Mountain, is necessary for the expansion of the protection area and subsequent research on protection measures.

Necrotizing fasciitis is a life-threatening soft tissue infection involving skin, subcutaneous tissue, and superficial fascia. We report a case of necrotizing fasciitis that developed in a 76-year-old female patient taking low-dose methotrexate and prednisolone for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A computed tomography scan of the neck during the initial work-up showed soft tissue swelling, loss of fat planes, and mild heterogeneous enhancement in the right lateral neck, suggesting cellulitis. The lesions were associated with skin necrosis and multiple bullae rapidly expanded to the right anterior chest in spite of empirical antibiotic therapy. Surgical debridement was immediately performed, and soft tissue biopsy from the lesions showed the pathologic finding consistent with necrotizing fasciitis. The skin wound defect was reconstructed by a flap operation with split-thickness skin graft. This case shows the development of necrotizing fasciitis in a elderly patient taking methotrexate and low-dose steroid for RA and highlights early recognition and prompt surgical debridement for successful management.

목적: 한국인 망막색소변성 환자의 초진 시 시야장애를 평가하고자 한다. 대상과 방법: 망막색소변성 환자의 초진 시 시야, 시력장애의 분포와 유전양상에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 결과: 총 400명의 환자의 유전양상은 상염색체우성 17.0%, 상염색체열성 11.0%, X-연관열성 3.5%, 단순형 68.0%였다. 잔존시야가 반경 50o 이상인 환자가 7.3%, 25∼50o가 10.8%, 10∼25o가 29.3%, 10o 미만(World Health Organization 분류: 심한 저시력)이 52.8%였다. 중심시력은 20/30 이상이 43.8%, 20/100∼20/30이 44.5%, 20/200∼20/100이 5.5%, 20/200 미만(심한 저시력)이 6.3%으로, 중심시력저하가 시야장애에 비해 경하였다. 유전양상에 따른 장애는 상염색체열성과 X-연관열성에서 심해, 반경 25o 이상의 잔존시야를 보이는 경우가 없었고, 20/30 이상인 시력을 가지는 비율도 낮았다(15.2%, 35.7%). 결론: 한국인 망막색소변성 환자는 초진 시 진행된 시야장애를 보이고, 시야장애가 중심시력저하보다 심하였다. 상염색체열성과 X-연관열성 환자에서 상염색체 우성과 단순형에 비해 더 진행된 시야장애를 나타내었다. Purpose: To evaluate visual field defect of Korean patients with retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Methods: A total of 400 patients with RP who were diagnosed within 3 years, 231 males and 169 females were included in this study. Data were collected including age, symptomatic disease duration, family history, visual acuity (VA), Goldmann visual field (VF) at the initial visit. Results: Determination of inheritance pattern revealed 17.0% autosomal dominant RP cases, 11.5% autosomal recessive (AR) RP, 3.5% X-linked recessive (XL) RP, and 68.0% simplex RP, indicating a relative small proportion of AR RP cases. The remaining visual filed was ≥50o (radius) in 7.3%, 25∼50o in 10.8%, 10∼25o in 29.3% and ≤10o in 52.8%. Visual acuity was ≥20/30 in 43.8%, 20/100∼20/30 in 44.5%, 20/200~20/100 in 5.5% and ≤20/200 in 6.3%. The functional acuity score of 83.3±17.2 was higher than the functional field score of 49.9±20.5. VA and VF defects were greater in AR RP and XL RP than in other types, the proportion of ≥20/30 VA was smaller and there was no patient who had VF greater than 25o. Conclusions: Korean RP patients had advanced visual field defect at the initial visit. VF defect was greater than VA loss and more severe in the patient with AR RP and XL RP.
국한 충돌공기제트에 의한 발포 알루미늄 방열기의 열전달 특성

An experimental study has been performed on thermal transport from an aluminum foam heat sink under a confined impinging air jet. Three kinds of aluminum foam heat sinks with 10, 20 and 40 PPI and a conventional pin-fin heat sink are tested in the present study. The jet Reynolds number is varied in the range of Re=667~5672 The effect of the confinement disk diameter and the distance between the confinement disk and the heater surface on the averaged Nusselt number is investigated in detail. The results are also compared with those of the unconfined impinging air jet. The critical distance, at which thermal performance shows a minimum compared to the unconfined jet impinging, will be described in terms of the Reynolds number and the pore density of the aluminum foam.
