Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the physical function and health behavior in Korean frail elderly. Methods: The sample consisted of 81 frail elderly aged 65 or over. The questionnaire used to assess physical function and health behaviors included questions on sociodemographics and health-related characteristics of the participant. Data were analyzed by SPSS win 17.0 programe. Results: The average study participants` age was 78.5 years. The mean for chronic diseases in our participants was 3.09. The participants`s independence for ADL was 53.1% and in IADL were 12.3%. The lowest ADL score was for ``bathing`` and within IADL ``using public transportation`` scored the lowest. The mean score for health behavior was 87.93. In subscale, highest score was identified with social category, while the lowest scores were spiritual category. Age, living and economic status were significantly associated with physical function. Gender, education and perceived health status were significantly associated with health behavior. There was a significant correlation between IADL and the subscale social category. Conclusion: It is suggested that Korean frail elderly participants have low levels of physical function and health behavior. To promote the health status and physical function, programs should be tailored to this population`s sociodemographic characteristics, level of physical function and health behavior.

In this study, multilayer structured ultrasonic linear motor was simulated using Atila for investigating its optimum driving conditions. The ultrasonic linear motors mainly consist of an ultrasonic vibrator to generate elliptical displacement. The ultrasonic linear motor simulated in this paper was the use of the 1st longitudinal(Ll) and 4th bending vibrations (B4). Whit the increase of the number of piezoelectric actuator layers, displacement of node was increased. Maximum total displacement of node was about $3,91{\mu}m$ at the 13 layered ultrasonic motor under 5 V.

A Korean air dispersion modeling software, AirMaster, was developed on a basis of dispersion theories adopted in U.S. EPA's ISC3 (Industrial Source Complex - version 3) model to assess the air quality impact from the stacks. Key characteristics of AirMaster are as follows: 1) The building downwash effect can be easily simulated; 2) The screen, long term, and short term models can be run independently; 3) The input data to run the model such as meteorological and terrain data are supplied automatically from the databases in AirMaster; and 4) The modeling procedure is easy and simple under the GUI window environment. In order to validate AirMaster, comparisons with ISC3 model and Indianapolis tracer experiment were carried out. It was shown that AirMaster was identical to ISCST3 and ISCLT3 models in predicting the 1 hr to annual concentrations from the stack under various stack emission and meteorological conditions. The 1 hr concentrations predicted by AirMaster also showed a good agreement with the Indianapolis tracer measurements.
공감각을 활용한 3 차원의 참여적 음악 감상 인터랙션에 대한 연구

본 연구에서는 수동적 음악 듣기가 아닌 참여적 음악 듣기 방식을 통해 적극적으로 음악을 이해할 수 있게 하는 방식을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 음감과 색감의 공감각적 자극을 활용하여 단순한 악기 선택이 아닌 시각적 즐거움을 함께 제공하는 놀이로 발전시켜가려고 한다. 참여적 음악 듣기의 개념을 위해 “지휘자”의 메타포를 차용하여 마치 스크린 앞에 선 사용자가 무대 위의 지휘자가 되어 지휘자의 동작에 맞춰 악기를 컨트롤하는 방식의 적극적 음악 감상방식을 제안하고, 또한 스크린에 시각적 효과들이 그려지는 것을 통해 공감각을 경험하게하는 인터랙션을 제안하고자 한다. 이로인해 그저 감상하는 것에만 그쳤던 예술을 사용자가 공감각을 활용하여 스스로 창조하고 경험하여 새로운 문화를 제공받을 수 있을 것이다. In this study, we propose a method to actively understand music through participative music listening rather than passive music listening. In addition, we utilize the synesthesia stimuli of pitch and color to develop visual pleasures instead of simple music listening. For the concept of listening to participatory music, a metaphor of "conductor" is borrowed, and a user who is in front of the screen becomes a conductor on the stage and proposes an active music appreciation method of controlling the musical instrument according to the movement of the conductor. I would like to propose an interaction that causes synesthesia to be experienced through drawing visual effects. This will allow users to create and experience their own art by using synesthesia and receive a new culture.
영양교육과 운동중재가 비만 중년여성의 대사적 위험요인 및 식이섭취 변화에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to evaluate a exercise combined with nutritional education for improving metabolic risk factor and dietary intakes in obese middle aged women. 35 obese (body mass index of at least ≥25 kg/m2 or %body fat ≥30%) middle aged women were recruited from public health center. For intervention participants, their height, weight, percentage of body fat, waist circumference, blood pressure, lipid profiles, insulin resistance index, and nutrition intakes were measured at before and after post the intervention. And change of the total energy intakes per week was measured during intervention. The subjects underwent a 12 weeks educational program including nutritional education one day per week and, aerobic exercise 3 days per week (walking). After 12 weeks exercise program combined with nutritional education, body weight (p=0.002), percentage of body fat (p<0.001), BMI (p<0.001), waist circumference (p<0.001), WHR (p=0.004), TC (p=0.004), AI (p=0.006), DBP (p=0.010), MAP (p=0.013), glucose (p=0.018), insulin (p=0.003), HOMA-IR (p<0.001) were significantly decreased and cardiorespiratory fitness was significantly (p<0.001) increased. And energy intake was significantly (p<0.001) decreased and nutritional intake and intake-style were improved through 12 weeks exercise program combined with nutritional education.
