지역민 중심의 생태관광에 대한 이해: 창녕 주매마을의 전통생태지식을 중심으로

This study extends the notion of traditional ecological knowledge, that has mainly been studied in ecology, to the tourism context and examines this knowledge and its application in relation to eco-tourism development in the Ju-Me community in Changnyeong-Gun through semi-structured interviews with residents. The study findings highlight applying traditional ecological knowledge to community-based ecotourism as a critical tool for maintaining this knowledge as well as sustainable resource use in the community. This study also finds that practices and strategies for resource use and the philosophy, or world-view, of residents that constructs general characteristics of traditional ecological knowledge are inextricably linked and interrelated.
섬 관광 선택속성이 관광 만족에 미치는 영향: 문화적 세계관의 조절효과를 중심으로

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of Island destination attributes on tourism satisfaction, and empirically investigate the moderating effect of cultural worldview on the relationship between Island destination attributes and tourist satisfaction. Design, data, and methodology –Online survey was conducted and 317 responses were used for the analysis. Statistical analysis was conducted (Factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, hierarchical multiple regression analysis) in order to examine both the effect of Island destination attributes on tourism satisfaction and the moderating effect of cultural worldview on the relationship between Island destination attributes and tourist satisfaction. Result – This study found that among 9 Island destination attributes, 4 attributes including natural environment, destination management, local culture / activities and special events, and superstructure had significant impact on the tourist satisfaction. This study result also showed that cultural worldview did not have moderating effect on the relationship between Island destination attributes and tourist satisfaction. Conclusions – This result offers insights for developing the strategies for attracting island tourists to the Purple Island and also for the Island communities and tourism developers who wish to create positive changes on their Islands by creating new destination identity.
