2-Month-old, three related Perro de Presa Canario dogs were evaluated for similar neurological symptoms like circling, head pressing, depressed mental status, hypermetria, and vocalization. On magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain, there were large, bilaterally symmetrical lesions with involvement of thalamus, and brainstem that were T2- and FLAIR-hyperintense and T1-iso/hypointense. There was no inclusion of cerebellum. Single-voxel spectroscopy acquisition was located in the thalamus where abnormalities were found in MR images. The results of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) showed markedly decreased N-acetylaspartic acid value. Euthanasia was performed and lesions consistent with the canine spongy degeneration. Alteration in metabolites in the brain can be determined by MRS, which helps in diagnosing degeneration/leukodystrophy of the central nervous system in dogs.

Diagnostic Imaging Features of Concomitant Flexor Enthesopathy in a Dog

Flexor enthesopathy is an important cause of elbow lameness in dogs. Flexor enthesopathy is divided into primary and concomitant forms deciding the treatment. The imaging characteristics in affected dogs are irregular medial humeral epicondyles, spur, calcified bodies adjacent to medial humeral epicondyle, thickened and contrast enhancement of the affected muscles. In this report, the radiography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were performed for right forelimb lameness of a 3-year-old dog. The irregular sclerotic changes and spur of the medial humeral epicondyles were shown with calcified bodies on radiography. Thickened flexor muscles in right forelimb and fragmented coronoid processes of both elbows were observed on CT. On MRI, high signal intensity of the bilaterally thickened flexor muscles with contrast enhancement was detected. Based on these results, concomitant flexor enthesopathy with fragmented medial coronoid process of bilateral elbows was diagnosed in this dog.

With increasing of communication technology in cyber-space, the space of consumer complain behavior moved from off-line to on-line, so called anti-site. a few researches, however, have done how the anti-sites worked for promoting consumer rights through consumer complain behaviors in cyber space. The purpose of this research was to give some suggestions for activating anti-site for promoting consumer rights. For this purpose, all anti-site were analyzed what they were and how they were working through internet portal sites. Main findings were as following: First, consumer anti-sites could be classified by their missions as sites for consumer complains/consumer damages and sites for guiding consumers' participation for consumer rights. The consumer anti-sites for consumers' complains/consumer damages could be classified as for companies and goods & services again. And the consumer anti-sites for guiding consumers' participation for their rights could be classified as anti-sites for politic issues, religion issues, cultural issues, and consumers' movements. Second, consumers' anti-sites were evaluated in terms of information support for products related, solving consumer problems, and consumer rights and duties. And most of anti-sites' managers supported consumer informations based on their own experiences rather than objective informations. Third, consumers' anti-sites were also evaluated in terms of communications among companies, consumers, and managers. It were found that communication between consumers were going best, and communication between consumers and companies were going worst.
