Phenylephrine의 家兎循環器에 對한 作用에 미치는 性 Hormone의 影響
洪權熹,申萬鍊 고려대학교 의과대학 1974 고려대 의대 잡지 Vol.11 No.2
In order to investigate the influence of testosterone and estradiol (long term administration) to the effects of phenylephrine of the circulatory system of rabbits, male rabbits were pretreated with testosterone and female rabbits were pretreated with estradiol for one week in one group and for one month in another group respectively. After given length of pretreatment with testosterone and estradiol the following experimental studies were performed. 1) The response of blood pressure and contractility of isolated auricle and aortic strip of rabbits of both sexes, 2) The response of catecholamine contents of rabbit's heart muscle, 3) The response of serum Ca and Mg concentration of rabbits. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The blood pressure of male rabbits were elevated by one week pretreatment of testosterone, but its were lowered by one month pretreatment of testosterone. The blood pressure of female rabbits were not influenced by pretreatment of estradiol. 2. The effects of phenylephrine on blood pressure were markedly inhibited by one week pretreatment of testosterone, but its effects were enhanced by one week and one month pretreatment of estradiol. 3. The effects of phenylephrine on the isolated auricle tended to be inhibited by one week pretreatment of testosterone, but its effects were not influenced by one month pretreatment of testosterone and one week or one month pretreatment of estradiol. 4. The contractile effect of phenylephrine on the isolated aortic strips was not influenced by one week or one month pretreatment of testosterone and one week pretreatment of estradiol, but its effect tended to be increased by one month pretreatment of estradiol. 5. The catecholamine content of heart muscle was not influenced by one week or one month testosterone administration but its was increased by estradiol administration especially more marked by one month administration of estradiol. 6. Serum Ca and Mg concentration of rabbits were not influenced by testosterone nor estradiol administration.

In this paper, the influence of Panax ginseng on the alcohol metabolism and metabolic effects of alcohol were studied. Through the experiments, the alcohol concentration in blood, blood sugar levels and serum °ansaminase (GOT, GPT) activities in rabbits were measured. In experimental group, rabbits were pretreated with water extract of Panax ginseng 10 minutes, prior to alcohol administration. The results were obtained as follows; 1) The increased blood alcohol concentration after alcohol administration were inhibited by the pretreatment of ginseng extract. 2) The elevated blood sugar levels induced by alcohol administration were reduced by the pretreatment of ginseng extract. But the blood sugar levels which were not changed by alcohol administration for 2 weeks, were not influenced by the pretreatment of ginseng extract. 3) The increased S-GOT activities induced by alcohol administration were inhibited by the pretreatment of ginseng extract. But the S-GPT activities which were not changed by alcohol administration, were not influenced by the pretreatment of ginseng extract.
Lithium Chloride의 循環器 및 腸管에 對한 作用
南在重,玄悳燁,洪權熹,金陽順 최신의학사 1973 最新醫學 Vol.16 No.11
Until 1949, lithium chloride was used as a substitute for sodium chloride in patients with congestive heart failure for whom sodium-free diet were prescribed. But it's clinical use was banned by the toxicity of the lithium ion. Since the mid-1950s, owing particularly to the efforts of Schou, lithium salts has been used extensively in the treatment of manic-depressive psychosis, and many studies have been made about it. In this paper the effect of lithium chloride on the blood pressure, contractile effect of the excised auricle and intestine, and catecholamine contents in heart muscle of the rabbits were investigated. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Large dose (50mg/kg) of lithium chloride elevated blood pressure and inhibited norepinephrine response on the blood pressure. 2. Large dose (47.2mM) of lithium chloride increased contractile effect of the isolated auricle and inhibited epinephrine response on the isolated auricle. 3. Large dose (47. 2mM) of lithium chloride decreased contractility of the isolated intestine and inhibited epinephrine response on the isolated intestine. 4. Cardiac catecholamine contents were decreased by the treatment of lithium chloride(25mg/kg) for 5 days.

Purpose: This research conducted a survey of 101 intensive care unit (ICU) nurses and 88 families of intensive care unit (ICU) patients in one university hospital to study their principles and attitudes towards terminating life-support for patients with no chance of recovery. Method: Data were collected by using the questionnaire developed by Park-Gyeseon(2000) and modified by the author. With the help of SPSS for PC/win 10.0, the author took the statistics of Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard devation, t-test and ANOVA with the collected data. Result: Both ICU nurses and family members gave a high average score (4.2 points) to the fact that both objective and ethical guidelines were needed in making the decision to terminate life support. ICU nurses and family members of ICU patients felt that nurses played the most important role in the decision-making process by providing emotional support, utmost nursing care to the end and objective, professional and necessary information and felt that the nurses' judgement should be respected. Conclusion: Given the fact that there was insufficient research on the attitudes of ICU nurses and family members of ICU patients on the subject of life support termination, comparison was difficult and a repeat study is necessary. In addition, because this research was limited to ICU nurses and family members of ICU patients, it is proposed that following studies be performed to include patients and doctors. Currently, ICU nurses are excluded from decisions regarding life support termination. However, based on the results of this study, there was a need to make provisions in the system to include ICU nurses, who play a central role in the care of ICU patients, in this decision-making process. As mediators of nursing care, ICU nurses can enhance understanding of life support termination and further investigation is needed to determine the type of nursing care and support that ICU nurses can provide to ICU patients and family members throughout this process. It is also proposed that a qualitative research be conducted on direct and subjective experiences with life support termination.
