The purpose of this study is to seek the desirable direction of future Korean wave phenomena by comparing and culturally considering the difference in recognition between the Korean and the Japanese of Korean wave phenomena, attracting the attention of the world as a new cultural phenomena. being attracted by the world between the Korean and the Japanese. Up to now, Korea and Japan have been keenly competing in many historical and political issues, but recent Korean wave phenomena is being developing as a large-scale flow enough to solve such discord, above simple cultural phenomena.

한국 정당체계의 연속성: 법-제도적 측면을 중심으로

The Korean political party system has been established as a limited competitive system since the Third Republic, which actively legislated a series of acts on parties, with particular emphasis on their control and regulation. It has been maintaining legal and institutional continuity even after the democratization in 1987. Despite the electoral volatility and frequent reshuffling of parties, the Korean party system has maintained a “de facto two-party system,” due to the legal and institutional structure, put in place by authoritarian governments. Park Chung-hee established the de facto two party system by introducing party-state framework in constitutional amendment and legislated Political Parties Act and National Assembly Elections Act, both regulatory in nature. Chun Doo-hwan stabilized the system by instituting state subventions allocated largely to major two parties. In particular, the minimum seat requirement that a party must meet to maintain its floor-negotiating status in the National Assembly has been guaranteeing the vested interests of the two major parties. The paper calls for a fundamental reform of the authoritarian legal-institutional system that promotes the cartelization of the Korean party system. 한국 정당체계는 제3공화국 이후 적극적인 정당 법제화와 정당 통제 및 규제에 관한 법률 제정 등에 의해 제도화된 제한경쟁체제가 구축되었으며 민주화 이후 오늘날까지 법․제도적으로 연속성을 갖는다. 한국 정당체계가 잦은 정당 간 이합집산 및 선거 유동성에도 불구하고 ‘실질적 양당제’의 경향을 보이는 것은 권위주의 시절 제도화된 법-제도적 구조에 기인한다. 박정희 정부가 헌법 개정 과정에서 도입한 정당국가화의 토대 위에 강력한 규제 중심의 정당법과 국회의원선거법으로 양당체계의 기틀이 마련되었으며, 전두환 정부의 국고보조금 제도가 더해지면서 기성 정당의 안정적 정당운영이 가능해졌기 때문이다. 특히 1949년 국회법을 계승한 교섭단체구성의 하한선 규정은 양대 정당의 기득권을 보장하는 주요 수단이다. 이들 법․제도는 상호 유기적으로 작동하므로 한국 정당정치의 발전을 위해서는 권력구조나 각각의 법률 조항에 대한 접근을 넘어 양대 정당의 독과점을 허용하는 권위주의적 법-제도의 체계에 대한 근본적 개선이 필요하다.

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of drying methods on the quality characteristics and antioxidant activities of pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata Duch.). Pumpkins were dried naturally ($25^{\circ}C$), hot-air drying ($60^{\circ}C$), and throgh freeze drying ($-40^{\circ}C$) methods. The moisture activities were highest in the freeze dried group. The soluble solid showed no significant differences among all groups. The pH was highest in the freeze dried group. The L values were increasing in freeze dried group, whereas the b values were increased in hot-air dried group. The free sugar was highest in freeze dried group. The DPPH radical scavenging activity of hot-air dried group was higher than those of the other groups. The ABTS radical scavenging activities were highest with hot-air dried group and freeze dried group. It was established that hot-air dried group is the most effective drying method for the production of high quality dried pumpkin.

모세관 전기영동 분석법의 복합약물제제의 품질관리 분석에 응용을 위한 연구

Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is perceived as an attractive tool for the analysis of pharmaceuticals and biological materials because of their high separation efficiency. easy separation and low running cost. New concept of micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) expanded the application of CE to the separation of neutral molecules. Validation of CE as an analytical technique for quality control of pharmaceuticals should be confirmed by quantitative analysis and the peak confirmation. In this study, the quantitative analyses of various types of neutral. acidic and basic components (acetaminophen. caffeine. ascorbic acid. riboflavin. thiamine. chlorpheniramine. phenylpropanolamine. dl-methylephedrine and dextromethorphan) in complex cold medicines have been accomplished using CE. Combined methods of MECC using SDS and capillary zone electrophoresis lowering the pH of running buffer were adopted to determine the ingredients in capsule type or liquid formula complex medicines without particular sample pretreatment. The results indicate that CE is a promising technique for quality control analysis of pharmaceuticals as a validation method.

Pedagogical Process in Sequence Organisation: Teacher’s Reaction to Student’s Non-response in One-on-one sessions

This paper examines how a teacher deals with the absence of students’ answer in a series of sequences that start with wh-questions. Using the method of Conversation Analysis, it provides detailed analysis of three main practices through which the teacher pursues a response from the student during one-on-one sessions. First, the teacher may transform the initial wh-question into a polar question. This enables the student to answer the question by narrowing down the range of response options. Furthermore, the inclusion of a possible answer helps the student to find out the right answer to the initial wh-question. Second, the teacher may provide a hint on finding the answer, which also leads the student to search for a more appropriate answer. Finally, the teacher may pursue the initial wh-question with a slight revision in wording. This practice rarely brings forth an immediate answer. In these ways, the teacher attempts to not only elicit an answer from the student but also invite the student to keep participating in the current activity of finding the correct answer. This paper suggests that the use of these practices is oriented towards fulfilling the purpose of the one-on-one sessions.

Two Korean girls with complete androgen insensitivity syndrome diagnosed in infancy

Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a rare genetic disease caused by various abnormalities in the androgen receptor (AR). The AR is an essential steroid hormone receptor that plays a critical role in male sexual differentiation and development and preservation of the male phenotype. Mutations in the AR gene on the X chromosome cause malfunction of the AR so that a 46,XY karyotype male has some physical characteristics of a woman or a full female phenotype. Depending on the phenotype, AIS can be classified as complete, partial or mild. Here, we report 2 cases of complete AIS in young children who showed complete sex reversal from male to female as a result of AR mutations. They had palpable inguinal masses and normal female external genitalia, a blind-end vagina and absent Müllerian duct derivatives. They were both 46,XY karyotype and AR gene analysis demonstrated pathologic mutations in both. Because AIS is inherited in an X-linked recessive manner, we performed genetic analysis of the female family members of each patient and found the same mutation in the mothers of both patients and in the female sibling of case 2. Gonadectomy was performed in both patients to avoid the risk of malignancy in the undescended testicles, and estrogen replacement therapy is planned for their adolescence. Individuals with complete AIS are usually raised as females and need appropriate care.
