청소년의 스트레스 및 감정표현불능증과 신체화 증상과의 관계 : 고등학생을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 스트레스 및 감정표현불능증과 신체화 증상과의 관계를 살펴 보고, 더불어 남학생과 여학생의 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 소재 2개, 지방 소재 1개 고등학교에 재학 중인 남녀 고등학생 463명을 표집 대상으로 하여 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 여학생의 스트레스 수준이 남학생보다 높았지만 스트레스 하위 요인 중 학업관련 스트레스는 남녀 모두 높은 것으로 나타났다. 감정표현불능증은 성차를 보이고 있지 않았으며, 신체화 증상은 여학생이 남학생보다 높게 나타나 여학생이 신체화 증상을 더 호소하는 것을 알 수 있다. 스트레스, 감정표현불능증과 신체화 증상과의 관계를 살펴봤올 때, 남학생의 경우 스트레스와 신체화 중상과의 상관이 다소 미미한 것으로 나타났으며, 여학생의 경우에는 모든 하위 요인 스트레스와 신체화 중상과 정적 상관을 보였다. 또한 남학생의 스트레스는 신체화 중상에 영향을 미치지 않았으나 여학생은 가족관련 스트레스가 신체화 중상에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 감정표현불능증은 성별에 상관없이 신체화 중상과 정적 상관을 보이고 있었으며, 신체화 중상에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 청소년 신체화 증상의 기제를 밝혀 청소년 신체화 중상에 대한 구체적이고 효과적인 개입 방안을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고, 청소년 신체화 증상에 대한 심리 치료 및 상담에 도움이 되고자 한다. The purpose of this study examined the relationship of stress, alexithymia to somatization to investigate the mechanism of somatization in Korean adolescents. The stress scale was consisted of five subscales: family-related, friend-related, academic-related, teacher-related and body-related stress. The participants were 463(185 males, 278 females) high school students, and correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted. The main results of this study are as follow. First, there were significant sex differences in all the stress subscales and somatization. And those were higher in female students than male students. But alexithymia were not significantly different Second, there was correlation between the academic-related, body-related stress of male students and somatization. But female students, there was correlation between all the stress subcales and somatization. Especially, there was that family-related stress had an effect on somatization in female students. Also, both sex showed that alexithymia had influence on somatization. Finally, the meanings of these results and differences according to sex, and suggestions for improving adolescents' mental health were discussed, limitation of the present study and suggestions for future study were addressed.
