The performance evaluation system should be established as a means of business management t;o make all the employees of a hotel carry out their duty fathfully. This sW dy is sought for knowing how performance evaluation has been done at hotels and how much it has made contribution to the hotel management. The survey was carried aut with questionnaires to general manager and rrmnagers of 60 hotels for finding out the situation of hotel performance evouation. As a result of this survey, the perforneance evaluation verified that it has been done unsatisfactorily. 'Therefore, the improvement of hotel management can not be established. To solve this problem, top managements of hotels should have their interest in the xeerforneance evaluation which is considered as a techr$gt;ique of managerrxent and make the evaluation executed at hotels. The government organization concerned aso should ee intferested in the progress of hotel industry, essential industry to make national wealth. Even though it is very difficult for hotels to have the organization which takes exclusive charge of the performance evaluaticm, General Managers and meenagements of the hotels should do their best to inform the result of performance evaluation to the related departments and employees, and make most of it in the hotel management activities. Hotel top managements and scholars should materialize their roles. Especially they ought to have their interest in introducing new practical management techniques of other developed industries, getting out of limited thinking that hotels have their own c;haracteristics.

1. Background of this study Korean government has been supported tourist Hotel Industry for foreigner since in 1960. Law of promotion for tour business was established in 1960, and Tourism corporation was instituted 1962, and government organization for tour affair was leveluped from section unit to department in 1963. In 1972, promotion fund of tour was founded, and Basic-Law of tour was established in 1975. The purpose of this study is to study the change of progress on support policy of government for Business of Tourist Hotel and to analize by evaluation. 2. Methodology used in this study This study was prepared by following domestic and overseas articles and wiritings;many of these references are quoted. 3. Procedure of this study This study have been sevided into six chapters. 1) Chapter 1 : Introduction 2) Chapter 2 : Theoretical background on supports policy for Business tourist Hotel 3) Chapter 3 : Change of progress on support policy for Business of tourist Hotel 4) Chapter 4 : Evaluation of support policy for Business of tourist Hotel 5) Chapter 5 : Problems and counterplan on support policy 6) Chapter 6 : Conclusion 4. Conclusion The support policy of government for business of tourist Hotel was performed successfully. The effects was explained increase of tourist number, 10million in 1968, 100 millions in 1978, and 200 millions in 1988. But Income was very poor. It's only 932U$ in 1988. It was analyzed the cause of failure to study of Hotel management and tour environment.

This is an empirical study that applied TOHSQMA(Table Hotel Service Quality Management Activity) to R. Resort. The object of this study was to verified that TOHSQMA is very useful Service Quality Management method for Service Enterprise. To establishment of this study, posed questions of basic investigation 6 items and 36 items of SQMA(Service Quality Management Activity) to the employees of R. Resort. And sets up three stages mid-goals as procedure to establishment the purpose of this study. The procedure to establishment the purpose of this study are as follows ; First, By Chisquare Test. I analyzed the relationship between 6 independent variable factors including sex, education, department, position, length of working years, the total length of working years, and 36 dependent variable factors as answers in questionnaire of SQMA. The results of Chisquare Test will be used as the data to suggest the problems and its remedies in SQMA of R. Resort. Second. I figures the 7 devide items in SQMA by weighting, and grasp the quality level of the R. Resort`s SQMA by weighting. I suggested the problems and its remedies in SQMA of R. Resort, and the results by its evaluation. Third, Evaluation the items of 36 SQMA by weighting, I suggested the problems and its remedies in SQMA of R. Resort as the results of its evaluation by figures. And the board of directors including a chief executive can readily utilize it. The object of study was established very satisfactorily by achieved three stages mid-goals. Therefore, the result of this study verified that TOHSQMA, the method for SQMA developed is the useful means for the SQM. The result of my study shows R. Resort gets 54 points as the evaluation of `SQMA`, which means a lot of improvement are needed there.

This research is a practical study focusing on establishing the detailed activities of hotels in which the service quality for satisfying the guests is managed by all employees centering on the top manager. It also focuses on keeping and improving the level of service quality. The study establishes the service quality management theory that manages hotel service quality as well as the service quality management activity which actually can be applied to hotel management. In addition, it shows `the table of supervising service quality management activity of hotels` with which one can manage the level of the activity autonomously. The result of this study could be the means for effectuating human resources, the largest importance in hotels, and for service quality management activity of hotels that substantially supervises and manages the service.
