        To clarify the annual reproductive cycle of the banded catfish, Pseudobagrus fulvidraco(Richardson), the seasonal changes in histological aspect of gonad and liver were examined. The adult fish was captured from the upper stream of Young-San river, Chunnam in each month from May 1992 to June 1993. Based on the annual changes in GSI (gonadosomatic index), HSI (hepatosomatic index), CF (condition factor) and histological aspects of the gonads, the annual reproductive cycle were classified into 5 periods as follows: 1) Growing phase (from April to early May): The value of GSI increased and the size of oocytes in perinucleolus stage in oocytes increased gradually. Spermatogonia were developed actively from the epithelial tissues of seminiferous tubules. 2) Maturing phase (from May to early June): GSI levels increased rapidly in both sex. Oocytes at various developmental stages were observed. Appearance of active spermatogenesis were observed. 3) Mature and spawning phase (from June to August): High values of GSI remained static and oocytes accumulated significant quantitis of yolk globules. 4) Degenerating phase (from September to November): GSI levels decreased and ovaries were filled mostly with oocytes at the perinucleolus stage. Hepatic cells accumulated significant amounts of lipid droplets. 5) Resting period (from December to March) : Low values of GSI were kept and the size of oocytes at the perinucleolus stage did not increase. Spermatogenesis was not observed.

        Smart Pricing in Action: The Case of Asset Pricing for a Rent-a-Car Company

        The Internet enables businesses to acquire a great deal of information, including prices in the open markets. In this study, we investigate what the value of reference price information is to a company in the market and how the company can make use of such information. Using business analytics, we were able to estimate prices of used cars for a rent-a-car company. The results show that a smart pricing information system is useful for collecting online reference price information and for estimating future prices of used cars and rental prices.

        제한적 인지 기반의 맵핑을 이용한 가상인간의 항해 특성

        This paper presents characteristics of a virtual human's navigation using a limited perception-based mapping. Previous approaches to virtual human navigation have used an omniscient perception requiring full layout of a virtual environment in advance. However, these approaches have a limitation on being a fundamental solution for a human-likeness of a virtual human, because behaviors of humans are basically based on their limited perception instead of omniscient perception. In this paper, we integrated Hill's mapping algorithm with a virtual human to experiment virtual human's navigation with the limited perception. This approach does not require full layout of the virtual environment, 360-degree's field of view, and vision through walls. In addition to static objects such as buildings, we consider enemy emergence that can affect an virtual human's navigation. The enemy emergence is used as the variable on the experiment of this present research. As the number of enemies varies, the changes in arrival rate and time taken to reach the goal position were observed. The virtual human navigates by two conditions. One is to take the shortest path to the goal position, and the other is to avoid enemies when the virtual human encounters them. The acquired result indicates that the virtual human's navigation corresponds to a human cognitive process, and thus this research can be a framework for human-likeness of virtual humans.

        해안 경계 지능화를 위한 AI학습 모델 구축 방안

        The Republic of Korea is a country in which coastal surveillance is an imperative national task as it is surrounded by seas on three sides under the confrontation between South and North Korea. However, due to Defense Reform 2.0, the number of R/D (Radar) operating personnel has decreased, and the period of service has also been shortened. Moreover, there is always a possibility that a human error will occur. This paper presents specific guidelines for developing an AI learning model for the intelligent coastal surveillance system. We present a three-step strategy to realize the guidelines. The first stage is a typical stage of building an AI learning model, including data collection, storage, filtering, purification, and data transformation. In the second stage, R/D signal analysis is first performed. Subsequently, AI learning model development for classifying real and false images, coastal area analysis, and vulnerable area/time analysis are performed. In the final stage, validation, visualization, and demonstration of the AI learning model are performed. Through this research, the first achievement of making the existing weapon system intelligent by applying the application of AI technology was achieved. 본 연구의 궁극적인 목표인 지능형 해안 경계 체계 구축을 위해, 본 논문에서는 먼저 해안경계 지능화를 위한 AI 학습 모델의 구축 방안을 제시하였다. 우리는 3면이 바다로 이루어져있고 남과 북이 대치하는 상황으로 인해 해안 경계가 중요한 국가적 과업인나라이다. 국방개혁 2.0에 의해 해안경계를 담당하고 있는 R/D (Radar) 운용인력이 감소하고 복무 기간이 단축되고 있다. 특히, 레이더와 같이 고도의 장비를 다루는 데에는 휴먼 에러가 발생할 개연성은 늘 상존하는 것이다. 해안 경계와 인공지능의 접목은 정부의인공지능 국가전략의 구현과 확대라는 목표에도 필요 충분한 시점에 와 있다. 지능형 해안 경계 체계 구축을 위한 AI학습 모델 개발의 기능별 방안을 제시하였다. R/D신호 분석 AI모델 개발, 책임해역 분석 AI모델 개발, 표적 관리 자동화 기능으로 구분하였다. 이를실현하기 위한 3단계 추진 전략을 살펴보았다. 1단계는 AI 학습모델 구축의 통상적인 단계로써, 데이터 수집, 데이터 저장, 데이터여과, 데이터 정제, 데이터 변환 등이 이루어진다. 2단계에서는 R/D 특성에 기초해 신호분석을 실시하고, 실상과 허상을 분류하는 AI 학습모델 개발을 진행하고, 책임해역을 분석하고, 취약지역/시간 분석을 실시한다. 최종 단계에서는 AI 학습모델의 검증, 가시화 및시연 등이 이루어진다. 군 무기체계에 AI 기술이 접목돼 지능화된 무기체계로 바뀌는 최초의 성과가 달성된다.

        GA를 적용한 모의 UAV의 자율착륙 테스트베드 구축

        현대에서 사용되는 무인 비행체의 경우 자율화수준이 떨어져 사용자의 개입이 필요하다는 문제가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 자율화 달성의 방법론으로 유전자 알고리즘을 선택하고, 이것을 적용해 무인 착륙체의 자율화 가능성을 확인해 보는 것이다. 특별히 무인 비행체의 착륙은 비행체에서 매우 중요한 고전적인 과업 중의 하나이며, 착륙에 있어서 역사적 사건 중의 하나가 달착륙이라고 할 수 있다. 달 착륙선의 추동 메카니즘을 장착한 낙하체의 착륙 자율화 방법을 이용해 무인 착륙체의 자율화 가능성을 확인한다. 본 논문에서는 유전자알고리즘 적용시 게놈을 단지 4가지 액션 (좌회전, 우회전, 분출, 자유낙하) 으로 인코딩하여 무인 착륙체에 적용하고, 유전자 알고리즘의 주요 연산을 접목하여 실험을 성공적으로 진행하였으며 센서에 대한 의존도를 최소화할 수 있는 무인 비행체의 모의 UAV를 제작하였고, 유전자알고리즘을 적용해 그 가능성을 확인하는 테스트 베드를 구축하였다. In case of unmanned aerial vehicles used in modern society, there has been a problem where a human operator should be still needed to control the UAV because of a lower level of autonomy. In this paper, genetic algorithm is selected as a methodology for the autonomy accomplishment and then we verify a possibility of UAV autonomy by applying the GA. The landing is one of the important classical tasks on aerial vehicle and the lunar Landing is one of the most historical events. Autonomy possibility of computer-simulated UAV is verified by landing autonomy method of a falling body equipped with a propulsion system similar to the lunar Lander. When applying the GA, the genom is encoded only with 4 actions (left-turn, right-turn, thrust, and free-fall) and applied onto the falling body, Then we applied the major operations of GA and achieved a success experiment. A major contribution is to construct a simulated UAV where an autonomy of UAV can be accomplished while minimizing the sensor dependency. Also we implemented a test-bed where the possibility of autonomy accomplishment by applying the GA can be verified.

      • 징거미새우, Macrobrachium nipponense(De Haan)의 생식소성숙 제어에 미치는 광주기와 안병의 X-organ에 관한 연구

        To clarify the relations between photoperiodism and x-organ of eyestalks to the control of gonadal maturation in a freshwater prawn. Macrobrachium nipponense, the present investigation was performed with following examinations : 1) the influence of water temperature and daylength on the control of gonadal maturation, 2) the effect of eyestalk ablation on the gonadal maturation, 3) the seasonal variation of histology of MEX-organ (medulla externa X-organ) in the eyestalk. In previtellogenesis period (December∼March) and vitellogenesis period (April∼May), gonadal maturation was considerablely influenced by water temperature. In these periods, GSI increased and gonads were matured with water temperature rising without regard to photoperiod conditions (12L/12D and 15L/9D). In spawning period (June∼August), however, gonadal maturation was influenced by photoperiod condition. While high value of GSI was kept at long photoperiod regime (15L/9D), GSE was decreased at short photoperiod regime (12L/12D). In resting period (September∼November), no rematuration was occurred at all the experimental regimes combined with water temperatures (16℃, 22℃, 28℃) and photoperiod (12L/12D, 15L/9D). Effect of X-organ which inhibite the gonadal maturation was stronger in resting period than that in previtellogenesis and early spawning periods by observations on the effectiveness of eyestalk ablation on the gonadal maturation. In MEX-organ of eyestalk, the number of neurosecretory cells of which size was over 20㎛ in diameter varied according to the reproductive cycle. The number of cells increased 77±12 in resting period, and decreased 55±7 in vitellogenesis period. Volume of Bellonci's organ, however, increased in vitellogenesis period in comparison with that in resting period.

        해상적하보험에서 영국법의 적용

        우리나라의 1년간 무역량은 1조억 달러를 상회하고 있고, 이 수출입물품은 주로 해상적하보험에 의하여 담보되고 있다. 우리나라의 해상적하보험증권에는 “이 보험증권 아래에서 일어나는 일체의 책임문제는 영국의 법률과 관습에 따른다.”는 것과 같은 국법준거조항이 삽입되어 있다. 판례는 고지의무·운송조항에 관하여서는 영국법을 적용하였으나, 선급워런티와 보험목적물의 설명의무에 관한 쟁점에 대하여서는 우리법을 적용하여 상반된 입장을 취하였다. 해상보험의 국제적 성격에 비추어 해상적하보험에서 영국법적용에 관한 비교법적 고찰이 유용하다. 해상적하보험사건에서 영국법적용에 관련하여 워런티위반과 손해사이의 인과관계를 요구하는 미국 텍사스주법을 적용한 1955년 Wilburn Boat호 사건과 그 이후의 미국의 판례와 학계·실무계의 입장, 1871년부터 선박보험에서 포괄책임주의·인과관계의 비율적 보상 등의 독창적인 제도를 바탕으로 해운선진국의 지위를 유하고 있는 노르웨이 등의 연구결과 해상보험분야에서 글로벌 스탠더드의 지위를 유지하고 있는 영국법과의 통일성·확실성·예측가능성을 훼손하지 아니하면서 독자적인 해상보험법제를 포함한 해운사법(司法)인프라를 구축하는 것이 과제라고 판단된다. 해상보험의 국제성, 보험법의 글로벌화, 해상보험업계에서의 영국의 중심적 지위, 해상보험에서의 통일성·확실성·예측가능성의 중시 등을 종합적으로 고려한 바탕에서 개개의 사건별로 영국법의 적용범위를 정하는 것이 요망된다. 구체적인 쟁점으로는 보험증권의 효력에 관하여 우리법과 크게 달리하는데 이 점에 관련하여서는 우리법을 적용하는 것이 합리적이고, 적법성워런티에 관하여 기준이 되는 것은 해상적하보험에서는 영국법이 아니라 우리법이라고 생각된다. Korean annual amount of trade exceeds a trillion dollars. Most of these goods are covered by marine cargo insurance. English law governing clause such as “All questions of liability arising under this this policy are to be governed by the laws and customs of England.” is inserted in marine cargo policy. Korean Supreme Court applied English law in the subject of disclosure duty and transit, but applied Korean law in that of ship’s class warranty and explanation duty. When the court decides whether Korean law or English law is applied, I think the international character of marine insurance, the globalization of insurance law, the England’s leadership in the area of marine insurance, uniformity with English Marine Insurance Act, certainty and foreseeability should be collectively considered. In concrete issues, the validity of marine policy between English law and Korean law is different in many points, I think that Korean law overrides English law. Secondly, the standard in deciding whether the warranty of legality is fulfilled is Korean law.

        Mathematical Programming Models for Establishing Dominance with Hierarchically Structured Attribute Tree

        This paper deals with the multiple attribute decision making problem when a decision maker incompletely articulates his/her preferences about the attribute weight and alternative value. Furthermore, we consider the attribute tree which is structured hierarchically. Techniques for establishing dominance with linear partial information are proposed in a hierarchically structured attribute tree. The linear additive value function under certainty is used in the model. The incompletely specified information constructs a feasible region of linear constraints and therefore the pairwise dominance relationship between alternatives leads to intractable non-linear programming. Hence, we propose solution techniques to handle this difficulty. Also, to handle the tree structure, we break down the attribute tree into sub-trees. Due to there cursive structure of the solution technique, the optimization results from sub-trees can be utilized in computing the value interval on the topmost attribute. The value intervals computed by the proposed solution techniques can be used to establishing the pairwise dominance relation between alternatives. In this paper, pairwise dominance relation will be represented as strict dominance and weak dominance, which ware already defined in earlier researches.
