Nitrate released from chemical fertilizer, animal wastes, and synthetic detergents can cause methemoglobinemia to infants, thus the standard in drinking water is set to 10 mg/L as World Health Organization recommended. In this study, zero-valent iron-modified rice straw biochar was used to reduce and remove nitrate in the aqueous phase. The rice straw biochar was prepared by pyrolyzing the biomass at 700℃ for 3 hours, and the biochar was modified using 1 M Fe(III), and the Fe(III) on the biochar was reduced to zero-valent iron using sodium borohydride. The modified biochar removed nitrate effectively, which removed more than 91% of nitrate. For the synthetic groundwater, the nitrate removal was lowered to 82% due to the presence of other anions.

Spatial database system provides many query types and most of them are required frequent disk I/O and much CPU time. κ-NN search is to find κ-th closest object from the query point and up to now, several κ-NN search methods have been proposed. Among these, MINMAN distance method has an aim not to access unnecessary node by adapting pruning technique. But this method accesses more disks than necessary while pruning unnecessary nodes. In this paper, we propose new κ-NN search algorithm based on density of object. With this method, we predict the radius to be expected to contain κ-NN objects using density of data set and search those objects within this radius and then adjust radius if failed. Experimental results show that this method outperforms the previous MINMAX distance method. This algorithm visit less disks than MINMAN method by the factor of maximum 22% average 7%.

연구목적 : 본 연구는 지역사회에 거주하는 일반 노인을 대상으로 음악기반의 인지자극 디지털 기기를 이용한 작업치료 프로그램을 적용하였을 때 인지기능, 우울감, 손기능에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 2019년 5월부터 7월까지, 14명의 노인을 대상으로 음악기반의 인지자극 디지털 기기를 이용한 작업치료 프로그램을 적용하였고, 주 2회씩 5주간 총 10회기, 회기당 60분씩 실시하였다. 대조군은 복지관이 제공하는 프로그램에 참여하는 것을 적용하였다. 프로그램의 영향을 분석하기 위해 인지, 우울증 및 손 기능을 사전-사후평가하였다. 연구결과 : 실험군의 경우 총점 3.36점이 향상되었으나 대조군의 경우 0.39점이 감소하여 음악기반의 인지자극 디지털 기기를 이용한 작업치료가 인지기능의 긍정적 향상에 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있다. 그리고 우울감과 손의 기능을 향상시키는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론 : 음악기반의 인지자극 디지털 기기를 이용한 작업치료는 65세 이상의 노인들의 인지 기능, 우울증, 손 기능의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 향후 치매 예방의 위험 요소를 개선하기 위한 프로그램에 대한 하나의 접근법으로 사용될 수 있다는 것을 암시한다. Objective : The purpose of this study is to find the influence of the occupational therapy that uses a music-based cognitive stimulation digital device on normal elderly’s cognitive function, depression and hand function. Methods : From May to July 2019, the intervention was carried out twice a week for a total of 10 sessions and 60 minutes per session for five weeks. The experimental group(n=14) participated in the occupational therapy using the music-based cognitive stimulation digital device program. And, the control group(n=12) participated in a program offered by a welfare center. To analyze the impact of an intervention program, cognitive, depression, and hand function were pre- and post-tested. Results : For the experimental group, the 3.36 points of total score was improved, but, for the control group, 0.39 points was decreased, which indicates that the occupational therapy using the music-based cognitive digital device program affect the positive improvement on the cognitive function. And, the program improved depression and hand function significantly. Conclusion : The occupational therapy using the music-based cognitive stimulation digital device program have positive influence on the improvement of cognitive function, depression and hand function of elderly aged 65 or older. Furthermore, it suggests that these occupational therapies can be used as one approach to programs to improve risk factors for preventing dementia.
