In the studies on the hatching mechanisms in mammals, many investigators focused on the embryonic intrinsic factor(s) in in vitro culture, but the uterine environment as the extrinsic factor(s) is thought to play an important role in hatching mechanism. Therefore, to evaluate the effect of uterine environment on the hatching event in vivo, the immature(GV) and ovulated(MII) oocytes, and the late 2-cell embryos of mouse were transferred to pseudopregnant foster mother's uterus during peri-implantation period. So it was verified whether there would happen hatching by only uterine environment independently on embryonic stage. The ultrastructural changes of the zona surface of transferred group were compared with those 01 in vivo and vitro group by SEM. 36 hrs after transfer, the immature and ovulated oocytes almost degenerated, and the late 2-cell embryos developed to various embryonic stages. However, the embryos which didn't develop to blastula stage did not hatch. The ultrastructural network of ZP in transferred group seemed to be smoothed uniformly, which was different from in vitro group. In conclusion, it is suggested that the uterine environment during peri-implantation period enhances the embryo hatching by provoking the structural change of ZP.

Weibull distribution is a popular distribution for modeling lifetimes because it reflects the characteristics of failure adequately and it models either increasing or decreasing failure rates simply. It is a standard method of the lifetimes test to wait until all samples failed; however, censoring can occur due to some realistic limitations. In this paper, we propose a generalized likelihood ratio (GLR) chart to monitor changes in the scale parameter for type I right-censored Weibull lifetime data. We also compare the performance of the proposed GLR chart with two CUSUM charts proposed earlier using average run length (ARL). Simulation results show that the Weibull GLR chart is effective to detect a wide range of shift sizes when the shape parameter and sample size are large and the censoring rate is not too high.

The pull strength and fracture mechanism were investigated to evaluate the reliability and compatibility of Sn-8Zn-3Bi joints, the solder paste on lead and lead-free plating under thermal shock conditions. At the Sn-8Zn-3Bi solder joint, no crack initiation was observed during thermal shock test. After 1000 cycles, the strength of the solder joint decreased not sharply but reduced gradually compared with initial conditions. The decrement of strength was affected by ${\gamma}-Cu_5Zn_8$ IMC growth which caused the IMC fracture on the fracture surface and a change in fracture mode and initial crack point. Clearly, the Sn-8Zn-3Bi solder shows good reliability properties and compatibility with lead-free plated Cu LF under thermal shock temperatures between 248K and 423K.

베르누이 GLR (generalized likelihood ratio) 관리도는 불량률이 p인 베르누이분포를 따르는 공정에 대해 다양한 불량률의 변화를 효과적으로 탐지할 수 있다고 알려져 있다. 또한 GLR 관리도는 다른 관리도와 다르게 매시점마다 불량률을 추정하여 관리통계량을 계산하는 특징이 있다. Huang 등 (2013)이 제안한 베르누이 GLR 관리도 절차는 최대우도법을 사용하여 불량률을 추정하는데, 추정값이 1이 되는 경우 관리통계량이 정의되지 않기 때문에 이를 방지하기 위해서 추정량의 상한값을 설정해야 하는 제약이 있다. 또한 이로 인하여 추정값이 상한값을 넘지 못한다는 단점이 발생한다. 이 논문에서는 이와 같이 추정량의 상한값을 설정하고 최대우도 추정량을 사용하는 것 대신 베이즈 추정량을 사용한 베르누이 GLR 관리도 절차를 제안하였다. 모의실험을 통해 최대우도 추정량를 사용한 기존의 절차와 베이즈 추정량을 사용한 제안된 절차의 성능을 평균 런길이를 이용하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 불량률이 설정한 추정량의 상한값과 유사하게 변화하는 경우에는 최대우도 추정량을 사용하는 절차가 효율적이었지만, 그 외의 경우에는 베이즈 추정량를 사용하는 절차가 더 효율적임을 알 수 있었다. It is known that the overall performance of Bernoulli GLR (generalized likelihood ratio) chart is better when we monitor the proportion p of nonconforming items. The GLR chart has the advantage that the value of control parameter does not need to be specified unlike CUSUM or EWMA charts, and it can be estimated from the process data. In the Bernoulli GLR chart proposed in Huang et al. (2013), there is a possibility that the MLE (maximum likelihood estimator) of p becomes 1, which would lead to an undefined Bernoulli GLR statistic. Thus, they put an upper bound on the MLE of p so that the estimate can not be 1. However, this restriction can make the performance of the GLR chart worse. In this paper, we proposed a Bernoulli GLR chart based on Bayes estimator to avoid such a restriction. We compared the performance of the proposed GLR chart based on Bayes estimator with the GLR chart based on the MLE by using ARL (average run length). Simulation results showed that the performance of the GLR chart based on Bayes estimator depends on the parameters of prior distribution, and is generally better than the GLR chart based on the MLE when the actual shift that occurs is not close to the specified upper bound.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effects of nanoplatinum caffeine on the reduction of the adipocyte number and area of adipocyte lipid droplets as in vitro methods, and on the effect of the nanoplatinum caffeine based functional wear on human body slimming and anti-cellulite by non-invasive as in vivo methods. Nanoplatinum has been individually expected as a new innovative agent for oxidative stress inhibition on the skin. Caffeine has been reported that topically applied caffeine has a successful slimming effect. The healthy 45 women treated with 0.01% nanoplatinum caffeine contained functional wear for 8 weeks were compared with appropriate controls by measurements of body fat with the dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) and measurements of slimming with the scale. The researchers assessed body fat changes with a handheld imaging instrument in fat tissue, detected change of image in the hips fat. The researchers also took measurements at the beginning and end of the study, to report that 80% of the women had a reduction in the circumference of their upper thighs. Thus, we can suggest that nanoplatinum caffeine based functional wear has body fat decreasing and slimming effect.

There have been numerous approaches to examine the bonding strengths of solder joints. However, despite the technical and practical limitations, the precedent test methods such as the ball shear and ball pull tests are being used in industrial applications. In this study, the optimum jaw pressure with the modified protrusion jaw was introduced in order to obtain higher successful rate f3r ball pull testing. Furthermore, the pull strengths and fracture modes of Sn-8Zn-3Bi, Sn-4Ag-0.7Cu, and Sn-37Pb eutectic solder after isothermal aging tests ($100^{\circ}C,\;150^{\circ}C$), were evaluated with the protrusion jaw. The pull strength-displacement hysteresis curves and fracture surfaces were carefully investigated to evaluate the correlation between the pull strengths and the fracture modes of each solder. In conclusion, it is verified that Au-Zn IMCs (Intermetallic Compounds) have a detrimental effect on the pull strengths and changed fracture modes of Sn-8Zn-3Bi solder. Meanwhile, the microstructure transformation influences the degradation of pull strengths of Sn-4Ag-0.7Cu and Sn-37Pb solders.
위암 수술 후 장기생존자에서 위 절제 범위에 따른 삶의 질

Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare quality of life of long-term survivors after a subtotal or a total gastrectomy for gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) QLQ-C30 questionnaire and QLQ-STO22 questionnaire were used to assess quality of life of 166 patients on their 5th annual follow-ups after gastrectomy for gastric cancer. One hundred twenty-six patients underwent a subtotal gastrectomy and 40 patients a total gastrectomy. Results: The subtotal gastrectomy group revealed a trend to have better quality of life in functional scales (physical, role, emotional, cognitive and social), fatigue, pain, dyspnea, diarrhea and financial difficulties. The total gastrectomy group showed a trend to have better quality of life in the global health status and quality of life, nausea and vomiting, insomnia, appetite loss and constipation. In all scales of the EORTC QLQ-STO22, the subtotal gastrectomy group had a trend to have better quality of life. However these did not reach the statistical significance. Conclusion: Surgeons may not limit the extent of resection concerning long-lasting poor quality of life. Oncologically sound resection is recommended.

Objective: To investigate the effects of ROS on kinematic parameters in human spermatozoa. To verify the changes in above parameters, human spermatozoa were incubated with xanthine-xanthine oxidase (X-XO), $H_2O_2$, sodium nitroprusside (SNP) or lymphocyte. Otherwise, spemlatozoa were incubated under low $O_2 (5%) condition. Methods: CASA was employed to analyze sperm motion parameters. Results: Under $H_2O_2 treatment, all kinematic parameters of spermatozoa were dramatically increased during 30 min, but gradually decreased thereafter. Under the low concentration of $H_2O_2 (125 ${\mu}M$ and 250 ${\mu}M$), the movement velocity (VAP, VCL, VSL) decreased, but forward movement increased. Under the 1mM $H_2O_2, sperm showed reduced kinematic parameters except during first 30 min of incubation. In the cases of X-XO and SNP treatment, the movement velocity increased but the forward movement reduced. After incubation for 3 hr treatment, the kinematic parameters gradually decreased in high concentration of X-XO. However these parameters maintained or increased in low concentration of X-XO. There was no obvious changes in the above parameters in the high concentration of SNP. In the presence of high concentration of lymphocytes, all parameters decreased. Under the 5% $O_2 condition, the parameters of the movement velocity and movement pattern increased, but forward movement decreased. Taken togethers, it suggested that ROS increased the movement velocity but decreased the forward movement and lateral head replacement. $H_2O_2, X-XO, SNP and lymphocyte treatment significantly increased capacitated spermatozoa within I h of incubation. There was no significant difference in capacitation between low- and high $O_2 group. Conclusion: The early onset of capacitation in the presence of ROS suggest that ROS might be a positive regulator of sperm capacitation and hyperactivation. These results demonstrate that low concentration ROS facilitates the movement velocity but high concentration ROS was inhibitory.

In this paper, we propose a MASTF methodology, which is a Multimodal Abstractive Summarization based on Transformer. Neural network models applied in the field of generative summaries utilizing conventional multi-modals were techniques utilizing hierarchical attention based on circulating neural networks. Although transformers showed excellent performance in various natural language processing fields, including generative summaries, there were no cases of application in multimodal-based generative summaries. Thus, in this paper, we use transformers to improve the performance of multimodal image subtitle generation summary models. Transformer-based models outperform hierarchical attention-based models by 24.17% on ROUGE-L basis and 10.52% on combining speech and text.
