Laser heat source was used for automotive interior and exterior parts to reduce weights. Typically, 900's nm wavelength of laser has been widely used for polymer joining, however, the transmittance of the laser beam thorough clear polymers such as PMMA or PC has been an issue to overcome. To solve this issue, 1,940nm laser was applied on the clear polymer for the better absorption and 900nm laser beam was used for main laser for the joining. Conventional Gaussian or Elliptical heat source approximation has limitation in polymer which had deeper skin depth where major laser beam absorbs. To accurately simulate the physical laser beam absorption and joining optical properties were experimentally measured for the computer FEM simulation. The simulation results showed close correlation between theoretical and experimental results. The developed laser process is expected to increase productivity and gap closing which can cause failure of joining in laser material processing.
Aspergillus ficuum 조효소액으로부터 Endoinulinase의 정제 및 특성

Aspergillus ficuum이 생산하는 endoglycosidase가 conventional CM, DEAE 및 HPLC DEAE, gel chromatography에 의해 단백질 ㎎당 460±40U의 specific activity로 정제되었다. 이 효소는 약 72,000분자량을 가지는 단량체로 이루어져 있었으며 당을 함유하고 있었다. 분해산물의 조사에 의한 작용기작은 전형적 endo cleavage mode를 보여주었으며 특이하게도 sucrose와 palatinose를 분해할 수 있었다. Endoinulinase was purified from a commercial inulin preparation produced by Aspergillus ficuum using ion exchange chromatography on CM-Sephadex C-50 and DEAE-Sepharose 6B, HPLC gel filtration on a Protein Pak 125 Column and HPLC ion exchange chromatography on a TSK DEAE-5pw Column. The endoinulinase had a molecular weight of 72,000±1,000 and was glycoprotein with 23 to 25% w/w sugar content. The enzyme was much more active on inulin with random cleavage mode than on sucrose and on palatinose: The ratio of activity on inulin and sucrose (I/S ratio) was 10∼14.
Finger Tapping 기기를 활용한 콘텐츠의 sEMG 신호 분석

In this paper, we would like to support anyone who can rehabilitate conveniently and happily by implementing rehabilitation device and game contents that can improve the motor ability of fingers. So we developed a Finger Tapping Device that can measure finger-regulation ability, accuracy, and agility and implemented tracking, visual response, finger-regulation on game contents by utilizing this device. The verification of usability was confirmed by analyzing sEMG signals during the execution of three types of game contents after attaching sEMG to the flexor digitorum poundus, which is most involved in finger movement. As a result of the experiment, activation of the flexor digitorum poundus was performed during execution of every game contents. Furthermore, we confirmed that there is a difference in agility by measuring the reaction time for each finger according to the visual response. 본 논문은 손가락의 운동능력을 개선시킬 수 있는 재활 기기와 콘텐츠를 구현함으로서 누구나 편리하고 재미있게재활 훈련을 할 수 있도록 돕고자 한다. 그래서 손가락의 조절 능력, 정밀도, 민첩성을 측정할 수 있는 Finger Tapping Device를 제작하고, 이 기기를 사용할 수 있는 콘텐츠로 트래킹, 시각 반응, 손가락 조절을 구현하였다. 이에 대한 유용성 검증은 손가락 움직임에 가장 많이 관여하는 심지굴근에 sEMG를 부착한 후 3종류의 콘텐츠를 수행하는 동안 sEMG 의 신호를 분석하여 확인하였다. 실험 결과로서 모든 콘텐츠 수행하는 동안 심지굴근의 근육 활성화가 이루어졌다. 또한시각 반응에 따른 각 손가락 별 반응 시간을 측정하여 민첩성의 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The objective of this paper is to obtain stress intensity factor solutions for a corner crack originating at bolt holes in a rotating disc. Initially two-dimensional finite element analyses of a rotating disc with bolt holes are performed to determine the maximum stress region. Subsequently three-dimensional finite element analyses of a rotating disc with a corner crack originating at the bolt holes are performed with a variety of crack geometries. According to the numerical results, the maximum stress intensity factor, with an increase in crack depth ratio, was observed at the surface of the plate due to the interference effect of corner crack and disc bore.
Anti-inflammatory Effect of Trichostatin-A on Murine Bone Marrow-derived Macrophages

Histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors were recently shown to suppress inflammatory responses in models of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. In this study, the anti-inflammatory effects of five different HDAC inhibitors on lipopolysaccharide-(LPS)-stimulated macrophages were compared and the mechanisms of these effects were demonstrated. Trichostatin-A (TSA) and scriptaid, two of the five HDAC inhibitors, showed the most potent inhibitory effects on the nitric-oxide (NO) production of RAW264.7 cells and bone-marrowderived macrophages (BMDMs). TSA significantly decreased the mRNA and protein levels of the proinflammatory cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-1β, whereas the pretreatment with TSA increased the level of the immunosuppressive cytokine IL-10. TSA also reduced the cell surface markers of the maturity of the macrophages. Furthermore, a longer duration (up to 8 h) of hyperacetylation was observed in the cells that had been exposed to TSA, whereas the hyperacetylation induced by the other HDAC inhibitors was absent after 8 h. These results demonstrated that TSA is the most potent HDAC inhibitor of histone deacetylation and has the greatest ability to induce anti-inflammatory activity in cloned and naïve macrophages. These results are expected to serve as a guide for future studies on the ability of HDAC inhibitors to inhibit acute and chronic inflammatory diseases.
