        First Report of an Unrecorded Nematode-trapping Fungus, Arthrobotrys sinensis in Korea

        선충포식성 곰팡이는 선충을 포획하기 위하여 다양하고 특수한 기관을 사용한다. 국내 성주지역의 참외 경작지 뿌리 주변의 토양에서 3차원 접착 고리를 형성하여 선충을 포획하는 곰팡이를 분리하였다. 곰팡이의 미세형태 구조를 관찰한 결과 분생포자병은 직립형으로 길이는 $290{\sim}528(342.8){\mu}m$으로 길었으며, 계란형의 $30.5{\times}20.3{\mu}m$ 크기를 가진 1~3개의 분생포자를 형성하였다. 균주의 rDNA의 5.8 S 영역의 염기서열을 분석한 결과, Arthrobotrys속의 계통군에 속하였으며, 특히 Arthrobotrys sinensis와 99%의 유사성을 보였다. 형태적 특징과 분자생물학적 계통 분석을 바탕으로 본 균주는 A. sinensis로 확인되었으며, 이는 국내 미기록종으로 식물기생성선충의 생물학적 조절을 위한 하나의 자원이 될 수 있다. Nematode-trapping fungi use various specialized traps to capture nematodes. A fungus that can capture nematodes in three dimensional adhesive networks was isolated from the soil around the root of Cucumis melo L. (Oriental melon) in Seongju, Korea. The conidiophores were found to be septate, hyaline, erect and $290-528(342.8){\mu}m$ high. It produces obovoid shape and 1-3 septate (commonly 2-septate) conidia with a size of $30.5{\times}20.3{\mu}m$. Molecular analysis of 5.8 S rDNA displayed 99% similarity to Arthrobotrys sinensis. On the basis of morphological, morphometric and molecular studies, the fungus was identified as A. sinensis. It is the first report in Korea which can be one of biological control resource of plant-parasitic nematode.

        파삼의 항암활성 증진이 가능한 고압 추출 공정

        The low quality fresh ginseng was extracted by water at 80℃ and 240bar for 20min (HPE, High pressureextraction process). The cytotoxicity on human normal kidney cell (HEK293) and human normal lung cell (HEL299) of theextracts from HPE showed 28.43% and 21.78% lower than that from conventional water extraction at 100℃ in adding themaximum concentration of 1.0㎎/㎖. The human breast carcinoma cell and lung adenocarcinoma cell growth were inhib-ited up to about 86%, in adding 1.0㎎/㎖ of extracts from HPE. This values were 9-12% higher than those from conven-tional water extraction. On in vivo experiment using ICR mice, the variation of body weight of mice group treated freshginseng extracts from HPE of 100㎎/㎏/day concentration was very lower than control and other group. The extracts fromHPE was showed longer survival times as 35.65% than that of the control group, and showed the highest tumor inhibitionactivities compared with other group, which were 70.64% on Sarcoma-180 solid tumor cells. On the high performance liq-uid chromatogram (HPLC), amount of ginsenoside-Rg2, Rg3, Rh1 and Rh2 on fresh ginseng were increased up to 43-183%by HPE, compared with conventional water extracts. These data indicate that HPE definitely plays an important role ineffectively extracting ginsenoside, which could result in improving anticancer activities. It can be concluded that low qualityfresh ginseng associated with this process has more biologically compound and better anticancer activities than that fromnormal extraction process.

        무용수 자화의 유형과 심리적 기능

        본 연구는 무용수의 자화(self-talk)유형을 탐색하고, 탐색된 자화의 심리적 기능을 구명할 목적으로 진행 되었다. 이를 달성하기 위해 서울 경기 내의 무용학과에 재학 중인 대학생 100명을 대상으로 개방형 설문을 실시하여 자화의 유형과 심리적 기능을 수집한 뒤, 본 연구자와 스포츠 심리학 전공자 2인, 무용 전공자 5인으로 구성된 전문가 회의와 귀납적 내용분석을 통해 결과를 도출하였다. 그 결과, 자화의 유형은 총 370개의 사례가 수집되었으며, 24개의세부영역으로 분류되었고, 이는 5가지 일반영역으로 범주화되었다. 5가지 자화의 유형은 동작지침, 자기격려, 동기유발, 수행전략, 수행방해로 나타났다. 최종 범주화 된 일반영역의 반응 비율로는 동작지침(27.3%)이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 그 뒤로 자기격려(24.6%), 수행방해(17.6%), 동기유발(16,5%), 수행전략(14%) 순으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 무용수가 성공적인 수행을 위해 외적으로는 동작의 필수적인 지침을 각인하고, 내적으로는 자신감 및 각성을 조절하고자 여러가지 유형의 자화를 사용하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 자화의 심리적 기능은 총 162개의 사례가 수집되었으며, 13개의세부영역으로 분류되었고, 이는 4가지 일반영역으로 범주화되었다. 4가지 자화의 심리적 기능은 긍정적 정서로 전환, 집중력 향상, 수행의 긍정적 평가, 무력감 유발로 나타났다. 최종 범주화 된 일반영역의 반응 비율로는 긍정적 정서로 전환(49.4%)이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 그 뒤로 수행의 긍정적 평가(21%), 집중력 향상(17.9%), 무력감 유발(11.7%) 순으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 자화는 무용수의 의욕을 감소시키거나 표현력을 감소시키는 등 무용수의 심리에 부정적인 영향을 미치기도 하지만, 대부분 긍정적인 영향을미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 무용수의 성공적인수행을 위한 자화 훈련의 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 기대되며, 후속 연구에서 무용 현장에서의 직접적인 관찰과 면담을 통해 실제 수행과 연결된 분석연구를 진행할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study is intended to find the pattern of self-talk for dancers and study the psychological effect. For this study, an open-ended questionnaire survey was conducted for 100 college students who studied in the department of dance within the Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The collected data on the pattern and psychological effect of self-talk for dancers was analyzed by the meetings of expert groups with two sports psychology majors and five dance majors and inductive approaches. The deduced results are as follows. A total of 370 self-talk patterns were collected, classified into 24 sub-sections, and categorized into five sections. The five sections include guidelines for movements, self-encouragement, motivation, accomplishment strategy, and accomplishment obstacle. The response rate of finally-categorized sections was the highest 27.3% in guidelines for movements, followed by 24.6% in self-encouragement, 17.6% in accomplishment obstacle, 16.5% in motivation, and 14% in accomplishment strategy. These results have revealed that, for successful accomplishment, dancers use several patterns of self-talk to externally learn the essential guidelines for movements and internally control self-confidence and awakening. Also, a total of 162 psychological effects were collected, classified into 13 sub-sections, and categorized into 4 sections. It has been found that the four psychological effects of self-talk are conversion into positive emotion, improvement of concentration, positive evaluation of accomplishment, and induction of feelings of helplessness. The response rate of finally-categorized sections was the highest 49.4% in conversion into positive emotion, followed by 21% in positive evaluation of accomplishment, 17.9% in improvement of concentration, and 11.7% in induction of feelings of helplessness. These results have revealed that while self-talks have an unfavorable effect on the psychology of dancers by reducing their desire or expression, most of them have a favorable effect on the psychology of dancers. It is expected that these results will provide dancers with basic data of self-talk training for their successful accomplishment. It is also believed that, in the follow-up study, actual accomplishment-related analytical studies can be conducted by direct observation and interviews in the scene of dance.

        아동학대 피해 아동의 정신질환 유병률 조사

        Objectives Child abuse can affect mental and physical health of abused children. Accurate assessment of mental health of abused children is integral to providing proper treatment and preventing any further impact of childhood abuse on their future life. In this study, we investigated psychiatric illnesses among abused children. Methods Semi-structured interviews using the Kiddie-Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia-Present and Lifetime Version-Korean Version were conducted for 61 abused chil¬dren after obtaining consent from their guardians. We also assessed the relationship between the demographic data of these abused children and their diagnoses. Results Among the abused children, more than half had more than one psychiatric disorder. The most frequently diagnosed disorders were attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, posttrau¬matic stress disorder, depressive disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder. The incidence of posttraumatic stress disorder was higher in abused girls compared with abused boys. Abused children had a higher suicide risk than the general population. Among the parents of abused children, 50.8% had alcohol use disorders. Conclusion Among the abused children, 50.8% had psychiatric disorders. Administration of intensive psychiatric treatment to abused children, and prevention of child abuse by education, treatment, and monitoring high-risk parents is imperative.

        초고압 및 초음파 추출공정을 이용한 매자나무 수피의 향장활성 증진

        This study was performed to investigate the enhancement of cosmeceutical activities of Berberis koreana bark by different extraction processes. The extracts are WE (water extract at 100℃, control), USE (ultrasonification for 1 hours at 60℃ with water), HPE (high pressure for 5 minutes at 60℃ with water) and USE + HPE (ultrasonification process for 1 hours after high pressure for 5 minutes at 60℃ with water), respectively. The cytotoxicity of the extracts was in the range of 24.02~26.94% at 1.0 mg/ml concentration. The USE + HPE showed the lowest cytotoxicity. Compared to the WE, total phenolic and flavonoid contents in the USE + HPE increased to 121.5% and 154.2%. The USE + HPE showed the highest activity at 1.0 mg/ml concentration in 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging, inhibition activity of xanthine oxidase and superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like test, respectively. Tyrosinase inhibition of WE, USE, HPE and USE + HPE at 1.0 mg/ml concentration was measured as 17.72, 19.62, 22.83 and 24.16%, respectively. Hyaluronidase inhibition activities of the USE + HPE were higher than 20.8%~29.5% of the WE. Our results suggested that the extracts from ultrasonification process after high pressure extraction has relatively high cosmeceutical activities, and that the bark of Berberis koreana could be considered as a candidate of new functional cosmetic agents.

        기후변화를 고려한 대설재난 피해액 예측

        This study developed prediction models of economic damage caused by heavy snowfall disasters as a starting point for the preparation of the measures of heavy snow, and examined the changes of future damage by reflecting future climate change scenarios. We employed panel tobit analyses for developing two facility-specific damage models (structure/agriculture and forestry/fisheries facilities). The results showed that significant increases in average new snowfall, maximum new snowfall and new snowfall days over 20cm influenced the economic damage increase. Furthermore, local governments with more sum snowfall and larger urban areas had less damage. Applying a climate change scenario to the forecast models, the predicted damages caused by snowfall disasters in the future(2030 and 2050) were ranged from 5.18 trillion won to 6.17 trillion won. Thus, we need to prepare for economic damage although it is difficult to conclude that the future damage will increase unconditionally compared to the present. Quantitative analysis of property damage based on the information currently available and climate change scenario can play a critical role in making decisions and prioritizing policies. 본 논문에서는 대설 대책마련을 위한 시작점으로 대설재난으로 인한 피해액 예측모형을 구축하고, 미래기후변화 시나리오를 반영하여 그 변화를 살펴보았다. 이때, 보다 정교한 모형구축을 위해 대설 피해를시설별(일반시설, 농림어업시설)로 구분하여 패널토빗모형을 구축하였다. 분석결과, 두 모형에서 공통적인 증가요인으로 평균 신적설량, 최대 신적설량, 신적설 20cm 초과일수가 유의하게 나타났으며, 공통적인감소요인으로 누적 적설량과 도시지역 비율이 유의하게 나타났다. 구축한 피해시설별 대설 피해액 예측모형에 기후변화 시나리오를 적용하여 미래(2030년, 2050년) 시점의 대설재난으로 인한 피해액을 추정한결과는 약 3조 1,259억 원부터 약 3조 2,167억 원까지의 분포를 보였다. 이와 같은 결과는 현재에 비해미래 대설 피해가 무조건 증가할 것이라 단정짓기 어렵지만 국가 경제적으로 대비를 할 필요가 있음을 보여준다. 장기간에 걸친 미래 대설재난의 피해비용 산정은 한계점이 있으나 현재 가용한 정보를 바탕으로기후변화를 고려한 대설재난의 피해규모를 정량적으로 산정하는 것은 기후변화 관련 의사결정에 매우 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다.

        유산균 발효를 통한 매자나무 수피부의 항산화 활성 증진

        The bark of Berberis koreana Palibin was fermented by Bifidobacterium longum B6 and Lactobacillus paracasei at 37℃ for 72 hour, then extracted by water solvent at 100℃ for 180 min. Total pholyphenol and flavonoid contents were improved by fermentation process, compared to conventional water extraction. The barks of B. koreana Palibin extracts by B. longum B6 (FE-B.L.) and by L. paracasei (FE-L.P.) showed 17% and 16% cytotoxicity on human normal cell lines(HEK293) at 1.0 mg/ml of the highest concentration, respectively, which was about 3~5% lower than 20% from normal extracts (NE). DPPH radical scavenging activity of the FE-B.L. and FE-L.P. were about 73% and 75.9% higher than 56.8% of NE. The highest inhibitory potency on xathine oxidase and superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activities were also measured as 31.9% and 61.9% by adding FE-L.P. of 1.0 mg/ml. On tyrosinase inhibition test, the FE-L.P. showed highest activity as 75.9% at 1.0 mg/ml. Generally, FE-L.P. showed higher antioxidant activities as well as higher tyrosinase inhibition activity, possibly due to high contents of total pholyphenol and flavonoid. In general, fermentation of barks of B. koreana Palibin has relatively better biological activities than normal extracts. Specifically, the extracts fermented by L. paracasei showed higher activities than that from B. longum B6.

        하이드록시아파타이트 필터의 항균성에 관한 연구

        A hydroxyapatite air filter was made with hydroxyapatite powder, water and chitosan solution. The structures of the sintered HAp samples were determined by MP-XRD. Hydroxyapatite has antibacteria properties against Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli. The bacteria removal rate was 99.9%. In the case of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Colon bacterium and Listeria monocytogenes, the hydroxyapatite air filters had a clear zone which confirmed antibacteria properties. Using the microscopy, we observed that the HAp powder absorbed E. coli bacteria.

        상황 균사체 배양에 의한 파삼의 항암 활성 증진

        Low quality fresh ginseng was fermented by Pheliuus linteus mycelium at 22℃ for 30 days, then extracted by water solvent at 100℃ for 180 min. On human normal cell lines (HEK293), cytotoxicity was about 10% lower in adding extracts of the fermentation ginseng than that from low quality ginseng. The fermented extracts also inhibited the growth of several human cancer cells. Among them, respectively, digestive organs related cancer cells, such as human stomach adenocarcnioma and human epithelial adenocarcinoma were most effectively inhibited up to 85% and 90%, respectively. Then, selectivities were in the ranges of 3 to 5, compared to 2 to 3 from low quality fresh ginseng. Generally, fermented ginseng extract showed higher anticancer activities as well as higher DPPH radical sacavening activity, possibly due to high contents of total phenolic components as 6.96 mg/g. It was very interesting that the fermented ginseng contained very higher contents of ginsenoside-Rc+Rb2, compared to others in low quality fresh ginseng because of partition digestion of mycelium growth. The results can tell that low quality fresh ginseng can be utilized by the fermentation with Pheliuus linteus mycelium.

        천연 수용성 설포라판의 나노입자화를 통한 면역 활성 증진

        This study was performed to investigate improving immune activities of natural water-soluble sulforaphane extracted from Brassica oleracea var. italica by nano encapsulation process. The nanoparticles of the sulforaphane extracted with ultrasonification process at 60℃ promoted human B and T cell growth, about 7~35% compared to the control. The secretion of IL-6 and TNF-α from T cells were also enhanced as 2.6×10-4pg/cell and 2.1×10-4 pg/cell, respectively, by the adding nano samples. NK cell activation was improved about 8%, compare to the control in adding cultured medium of T cell added nano samples. It was also found that sulforaphane extracted from B. oleracea var. italica had highly inhibitory activity on hyaluronidase as IC50 about 200 μg/ml. It can be concluded that natural water-soluble sulforaphane samples by nano-encapsulation, each size is 200 nm, extracted from B. oleracea var. italica has high immune activities through higher efficiency of bio-activation than conventional extracts.
