This study was carried out to investigate water quality and pollution in the mineral water located in Seoul area. 15 sites were pointed out by random sampling and tested monthly for 14 items from July to December in 1986. 1. 14 sites were suitable for the drinking water standards but 1 site was not suitable for its pH (5.4). 2. The range of mineral element and concentration were as follows: K (1.1 ±0.19 ∼ 2.38±0.45 ppm) Na (5.14±0.32 ∼ 11.2±0.58 ppm) Ca (4.36±0.53 ∼ 14.44±0.53 ppm) Mg (1.58±0.32 ∼ 6.34±0.77 ppm) 3. Among the heavy metals, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, were detected small amount but Pb was not detected in all sample. 4. Fluoride concentrations were the range of 0.13±0.03∼0.42±0.03 ppm.

The removal of organo-mineral ions from synthetic water contaning heavy metals and pesticides using Eucommia ulmoides leaves were studied varying time, temperature concentration, pH and adsorbent amount. The removal rate of organo-mineral ions according to varying time were invariable detected only Cr and parathion and its was adsorption removal rate respectively 95%, 86.4%. The removal efficiency of organo-mineral ions according to varying temperature was decreased only Zinc. As the heavy metals concentration increased, the removal efficiency of adsorbent was not invariable ratio and pesticide in 2.0mg/l(Parathion, Diazinon, Malathion) was maxium adsorbented respectively 91.3%, 88.2%, 59.2%. The removal efficiency according to varing pH was maximum adsorpted in pH7. The injected adsorbent in which 2.0g was maximum adsorpted and the removal of Pb was found to have the best removal efficiency.
Bis(tributyltin) oxide가 랫드의 면역 및 성호르몬 활성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study finds out the effect of red ginseng extract(1.0g/kg) on bis(tributyltin)oxide(TBTO) (10, 20 and 40 mg/kg) which poisons against some organs like thyroid gland, liver, kidney, testis, ovary. Serum immunity and sex hormone activity of rats are examinned by gastric tubing for 3 weeks. 1he weights of each organ in treated group were increased, especially liver in females and those of testis in males were signignificantly increased at 10, 20 and 40 mg/kg(p<0.05, P<0.0l). In group treated with TBTO(10, 20 and 40 mg/kg) for females, the serum IgG level was significantly reduced in comparsion with control group(P<0.05). The group of females which were poisonned by TBTO and rGe was significantly recovered in TBTO 10 mg/kg + rGe 1.0 g/kg and TBTO 20 mg/kg + rGe 1.0 g/kg. In case of sex hormone activity of each sex, the estradiol activity of females and testosterone activity of males were sigoignificantly decreased rather than the control group. And control group by bis(tributyltio)oxide and red ginseng extract is just increased estiradiol activity.
