Between June and July of 670, Geommojam, a refugee of Goguryeo,re-established Goguryeo by crowning Anseung, a scion of the royalfamily of Goguryeo, as king in Hanseong, or Jaeryeong in today’sHwanghae Province. In alliance with Silla, Hanseong Goguryeo tookmost of the Hwanghae Province area and acquired an internationalstature by dispatching envoys to Japan. The war between the Goguryeo-Silla combined forces and the TangEmpire lasted from September of 671 to May of 673. Even though thecombined forces were defeated by the Tang army and retreated to theImjin River, Anseung did not stop trying to overcome the crisis and sentenvoys to Japan. However, in the end, he could not achieve his goal andhad to take refuge in Silla with the revived army of Goguryeo. Anseung devoted himself to the reconstruction of Goguryeo andfought with his army to the last moment. Bodeokguk could beestablished in Silla territory because the excellent abilities of Anseungand the Goguryeo people were essential to Silla for the war against theTang Empire. 안승과 검모잠 등 고구려 부흥운동 세력에 관한 사료는 비교적 풍부한 편이나사건의 시기가 불분명하고 사료 간에 내용이 상충하여 연구자마다 견해를 달리한다. 이 글에서는 중국 사료들 간의 내용 비교, 『신당서』 동이열전과 『삼국사기』 신라본기 비교, 고구려본기의 구조 분석, 『일본서기』에 보이는 고려사를 통해 한성의 고구려국의 성립과 나당전쟁이 진행되는 과정을 규명하였다. 670년 6월 이후 안승이 한성 고구려국의 왕으로 즉위하여 5부와 관등을 정비하였고, 평양 이남까지 영역을 확장하였다. 671년 9월 신라군과 연합하여 당군을 침입을 물리쳤고 이듬해인 672년부터 본격적인 전투를 벌였다. 양측은석문 전투 이후 4개월간 백수산 전선을 유지하였는데, 『신증동국여지승람』에소개된 봉산 고당성의 지명이 이때에 유래된 것으로 생각된다. 한편, 이러한 대치과정 중 672년 8월 이후 안승이 검모잠을 살해하였던 것으로 보이며, 내분과 기근 등으로 673년 윤5월에는 호로하까지 밀리게 된다. 안승은 난국을 타개하기 위해 왜에 사신을 파견하려고 하지만 당군이 황해를봉쇄한 까닭에 신라 송사의 도움으로 왜에 사신을 파견할 수 있었다. 그러나이러한 노력에도 불구하고 호로하 전투에서 패배하면서 모두 신라로 내투하게되었다. 하지만 검모잠을 죽이고 신라로 달아닸다는 기존의 이해와 달리 안승은 마지막까지 고구려인들과 함께하였고, 이러한 신뢰가 있었기에 신라 내투이후에도 보덕국에서 안승을 중심으로 결속할 수 있었다.

하류 도심지 침수저감 분석을 통한 공동주택 단지의 우수저류조 계획

연구목적: 본 논문에서는 기후변화로 기존 도심지 침수 발생이 증가하는 현 상황에서 공동주택 단지에 소규모 우수저류시설을 계획하였을 때 기존 하류부 도심지 침수량 증가율과 기존 도심지 침수량 저감 정도를 분석하고자 한다. 연구방법: 미국환경보호청 SWMM 모델을 활용해서 대규모 하수도 모델을 구축하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 하류부 기존 도심지 침수영향을 분석하였다. 구축한 모델은 개발지구, 하류부 기존 도심지, 우수를 방류하는 하천유역 전체를 포함하였다. 연구결과: 대규모 개발행위 시 연구대상지역에서 공동주택 블록별로 최소 우수저류조 용량을 산정하여 시뮬레이션한 결과, 하류부 기존 도심지에서 방재성능목표강우량 1시간 기준 4,893㎥, 2시간 기준 25,815㎥, 3시간 기준 55,528㎥의 침수량을 저감할 수 있을 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구와 같이 하류부 기존 도심지까지 고려한 대규모 침수 시뮬레이션을 실시하였을 때 하류부 도심지 침수가 크게 증가하는 것을 알 수 있고, 개발전 공동주택 단지 블록별로 필요한 우수저류조 용량을 계획하고 개발시 비용 지원 등으로 우수저류조 건설을 권장한다면 하류부 기존 도심지 홍수 부담을 감소시킬 수 있다. Purpose: In this paper, we would like to analyze the growth rate of existing urban immersion in the downstream during large-scale urban development and the degree of reduction in existing urban immersion in the downstream when small excellent storage facilities are planned in apartment complexes. Method: A large-scale sewage model was built using the SWMM model of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the impact of flooding in existing downtown areas downstream was analyzed through simulation. The built model included the development zone, the existing downtown area downstream, and the entire river basin that discharges rainwater. Result: As a result of calculating and simulating the minimum excellent reservoir capacity for each apartment block in the study target area, it was found that the immersion of 4,893㎥ based on one hour, 25,815㎥ based on two hours, and 55,528㎥ based on three hours in the downstream urban area. Conclusion: As in this study, large-scale flooding simulation considering the existing downtown area in the downstream shows a significant increase in flooding in the downstream, and if excellent reservoir capacity is planned for each apartment block before development and the construction of excellent reservoirs is recommended.

19세기 미국 여성운동의 시작과 노예제폐지운동

Some beginnings of U. S. women’s movement were closely related with anti-slavery movement. First of all, most of the feminist pioneers were abolitionists. Looking into the situation of slaves, female abolitionists could recognize the unequal social positions and the lack of rights of women. And encountering the opposition of male fellows against female lecturers, these women stood for the rights of women to speak and act in the public sphere. Second beginning was about Seneca Falls convention in 1848. This convention was the result of female activist experiences and knowledges which had been gained in anti-slavery movement. This convention led to many women’s rights conventions in various forms and levels in 1850s. Those who led these conventions were white middle class intellectual women. However, at that time African Americans such as Frederick Douglass or Sojourner Truth could join forces with them. Third beginning was about the departure of some activists like Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan Anthony from the radical reformers who had been abolitionists. This departure was due to black male suffrage and a race priority policy which reformers and Republicans took at that time. Stanton and Anthony aligned themselves with racist Democratic politicians. This fluctuating process of women’s movement reminds us the difficulty and significancy of collaboration which is always necessary for women’s movement both internally and externally. This research tries to directly investigate the characters, Abbie and Eben, of《Desire under the Elms》based on the lines and instructions of the text from the Evolutionary Psychological perspectives. Evolutionary psychology is a science studying human nature, which explains general human behaviors with an ‘evolved psychological mechanism’ and scrutinizes the ultimate motive of the behavior. Using the explanations of Evolutionary Psychology, I tries to find out the two characters’ instinctive desire, survival, and breeding which are the evolved psychological mechanism through the way of ‘consilience,’ between Evolutionary Psychology and theatre. First of all, I explain what the Evolutionary Psychology is, showing how Evolutionary Psychological perspectives evaluate the art and proving the values of consilience between them. Based on the theoretical perspectives, I studies Abbie and Eben in《Desire under the Elms》, classifying the lines and behaviors of characters with the ‘evolved psychological mechanism.’ First, I analyze Abbie’s desire of the survival and breeding in terms of the residence, preference for spouse and maternal instinct, And then, I investigate Eben’s desire in the cases of the obsession for at maternal instinct, possessiveness, revenge, aggression, and preference for spouse. In this way, I verifies that the two characters are very instinctive, who behave with purposes of survival and breeding. And, by studying Abbie and Eben’s love under the conditions of economic and emotional commitment, I explain how the two characters transcend their instinct and find the value of love which is the theme of the text.
