        마샬 맥루한의 매체미학에 기반한 패션 플래그쉽 스토어 파사드의 아트 콜라보레이션 연구

        (Background and Purpose) Modern people want to experience a happy culture with sensible, emotional consumption patterns, a leisurely place, and logical psychological transitions. The fashion flagship store is designed to convey brand identity reliably while reflecting a desirable lifestyle. The brand, product, and internal space should have an integrated relational structure. The main purpose of this research is to describe the experience and aesthetics of emotional wearable media in terms of art collaboration. (Method) Strategies for wearable media are informed by Marshall Mc Luhan`s communication theory, with special emphasis given to information about concepts for brand communication. The fashion flagship store is analyzed from both domestic and international viewpoints, including its range of surfaces, spatial and sensory characteristics, and its status within the Ministry of Culture. Case studies focus on type-specific interactions and the lighting used to render images. (Result) In the future, fashion flagship stores will include emotional considerations that transform the space into a sympathetic, cultural experience for art collaboration based on a foundation of interactivity that positively influences customers`psychological well-being.

        올라퍼 엘리아슨의 유사자연 표현특성을 반영한 공간의 상호작용성에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose)Nature has been one of the most important considerations in architecture throughout human history. As the importance of complementary space for humans and nature has increased in modern architecture, this paper attempts to study the ways of artificializing nature and applying it to architecture. (Method)By focusing on the characteristics of “artificial nature,” this paper primarily analyzes Olafur Eliasson`s works that shows how artificial nature can be applied to modern architecture. (Result)The expression methods of ‘artificial nature’, which reproduce natural characteristics for artificial subjects, can be summarized by “Presenting Spectacle Space,” “Intermediation Space for Community Communication,” and “Space for Visitor.” From this combination of nature and science, this research has found a potential interactive space where humans, nature, and science can coexist.

        공간그래픽의 다면적 시각표현에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose)Faster information speeds have been further accelerated by the continuous development of media technology since the invention of printing. Human needs and society have been diversified and made pluralistic with the expansion of the availability of information. Accordingly, multifaceted and experimental graphic visual expression has been used in many areas, such as architecture, fashion, production, and IT, to meet the increasing demand. This study was carried out to contribute to the various meanings of the expansion of space design, through the analysis of the multifaceted visual expression of space graphics. (Method)The case of space graphics is analyzed according to its purpose and function by clarifying the concept of the space graphics of visual language as a communication tool within space; defining the meaning of multifaceted visual expression in space; and then classifying the types depending on their expression methods. (Result)Place and structural features should be considered to expand the multifaceted meaning of space graphics, and such a multifaceted visual expression that reflects place and structural features should facilitate more expansion.

        주민중심적 커뮤니티 공간으로의 집합주거단지 외부 공간 활용 방향에 관한 연구

        (Background and purpose) The community spirit in Korea has been decreased by individualism due to urbanization. In this background, this thesis aims at investigating the direction for a resident-centered community space for continuous use of the space and the expansion of local communities by focusing on the outdoor space of a residence complex. (Method) The study examined the concept of a resident-centered community space in a residence complex and analyzed domestic and foreign cases through local survey and interviews based on status and problems of outdoor spaces in Korea. (Result) The direction for the resident-centered community space to be suggested based on the conclusion deducted from this research is as follows. First, the space has to be formed depending on its residents` demand and needs rather than is offered by the government. Second, the community space appropriate for the characteristics of the outdoor space of Korean residence complexes should be formed. Third, for continuous use and vitalization of the community space, the main subjects, goals and methods need to be changed into those centered on its residents. This direction will be able to contribute to the expanded continuous use of the outdoor place of a residence complex and the formation of resident-centered community space reflecting the local culture in the future.

        브랜드 홍보관의 체험전시 방법 및 유형에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose)With the society now getting urbanized, companies focus more on customer-oriented marketing strategies to communicate with customers, in recognition of client needs. They use spatial exhibition media and find a way to get closer to the customer. In line with such a trend, brand information museums are found in downtown and tourist attractions of high accessibility, on a permanent basis or in the form of pop-up store. To be capitalized on in planning brand information museum later on, this study is thus to discuss how to design the brand information museum for first-hand experiences by customers. (Method)To begin with, this study is to involve theoretical consideration of the brand identity and the first-hand exhibition. This study is to categorize roles and types of brand information museum for first-hand experiences appearing in the previous studies. Conduct case studies of brand information museum intended for first-hand experiences in Korea, quantify of the contents thereof and see how those contents can be applied to the brand information museum by brand image. Analyses of experience elements by museum were done, by type of first-hand experience presentation, by way of Likert Scale and analytic graphs. (Results) A total of six cases were studied for analysis of methods and types of the first-hand experience exhibition in a Brand Information Museum. The database table has been prepared to set forth distribution trend for the methods and types. Different emphases were put in direct and indirect experience elements by what the brand features. According to analyses mainly pivoted on museums featuring direct first-hand experiences, the viewers were mostly offered visual means of exhibition, followed by physical experiences and game presentation. Model - Diorama type indirect first-hand exhibitions were preferred compared to others. According to analyses, it is recognized that the brands effectively use exhibitions with first-hand experiences to fit the purposes intended. (Conclusions) Also known by analyses is that brands should capitalize on exhibition elements that fit the purpose of promotion. Brand images are better transferred to the viewers of exhibitions with first-hand experiences, compared to the conventional exhibitions, for advanced promotional effects. Creating synergies in advertising brands to customers, first-hand experience elements would help the brand promoted in a much more efficient manner. With things going as planned, first-hand experience elements offer sustainable positive influence upon the brand.

        전시매체별 관람객 만족도를 통해 본 예산편성의 효율성에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose) The audience would like to understand and enjoy exhibits that include videos, animations, games, and other interactive media (i.e., they would like to go beyond simply appreciating the artwork). This study aims to investigate the funding needed for special exhibitions at museums and compare the budgetary needs to what is needed for relic display, which consumes the majority of funds at most museums. (Research Method) Based on this line of reasoning, the following research topic was developed: Exhibitions with interactive elements have greater bearing on an audience`s satisfaction than exhibitions concentrating on relic display. In order to affirm this hypothesis, Traditional Gyeonggi Style Furniture was selected as a sample special exhibition for the study, and audience satisfaction was measured through a survey. (Result) We hope that this study will inspire museums to more efficiently allocate exhibition budgets and thus increase visitors` satisfaction.

        지역정체성을 반영한 가로시설물 기능 변화에 관한 연구

        (Background and Purpose) Connectivity and diversity in the digital era are raising doubts about the uses and functions of existing facilities. The aim of this study is to extract evaluation and application elements required for changes in functions of street facilities by connecting characteristics of the facilities to characteristics of regional identity, and analyses of elements. (Method) Street facilities in the world`s top ten cities were selected as research cases for evaluation and analysis. The characteristics of these facilities and regional identity were classified, according to area, place, scale, and network; additionally, insufficient elements were derived from the analysis. Thus, elements necessary for functional changes in street facilities and directivity were suggested. (Result) The results of analysis of the cases using the elements described herein showed that there were insufficient points in connectivity, distinction, cumulativity, and bidirectionality of networks. As an analysis focused on networks associated with changes in the functions of street facilities, this study has significance by highlighting regional identity.
