가게에 수북하게 쌓여있는 과일 무더기를 보면 올해 같은 무더위와 가뭄을 견디어 내고 충실한 과일들을 수확이 가능하게 한 자연에 경외감을 느낀다. 시드는 나뭇잎을 보며 애태웠을 농민과 여름휴가까지 중지하면서 대책에 골몰했던 농업관계 공무원에게 감사를 드리며 지난해의 이상저온과 올해의 고온 및 한발에서의 과수 병해충의 발생상 및 특징을 분석하여 앞으로의 대책수립에 자료를 제공코자 하며 올해의 기상이 과수 수확량과 품질에 미친 영향에 대하여 알아본다.
Characteristic test methods of the thermal mass flow controller

A thermal mass flow controller (MFC) is used to measure and control the mass flow of gases in industrial fields, for example, in thesemiconductor manufacturing process. In the present study, the characteristic test methods for rangeability, linearity, reproducibility,effects of temperature and valve response time are proposed to evaluate the performance of the MFC. Three commercial MFC productsare tested by gas flow standard system and a sonic nozzle to verify the effectiveness of the proposed test methods. Linearity tests showthat reading errors before and after adjustment must be provided to consumers. Reproducibility tests were conducted to evaluate theshort-term stability of MFCs. Temperature effect tests represent that deviation due to temperature effect of MFC body is larger than thatof gas flowing. Three MFCs show different response characteristics according to direction of flow rate change in response time test bymeasuring the flow setpoint, flow output signal, and real flow rate.
강남콩에서 種子傳染된 Bean Common Mosaic Virus의 分類同定에 關한 研究

강낭콩에서 종자전염된 바이러스병을 동정하기 위하여 각지역 농가 및 시장에서 종자를 수집파종하여 종자전염을 조사한 결과 수원, 장수, 진주에서 채집한 종자가 이병되어 있었으며 종자전염된 바이러스를 지표식물에 접종한 결과 강낭콩에 상엽에 모자익, Chenopodium quinoa의 접종엽에 대형의 국부병반이 형성되었다. Dip법에 의하여 시료를 제작하여 입자를 관찰한 결과 약 750nm의 계상입자가 관찰되었다. 이병 강낭콩의 조직에서 Cylinder와 Pinwheel형 및 bundle형의 봉입체(Inclusion hody)가 관찰되었다. 복숭아진딧물에 의하여 충매전염 되었으며 즙액전염된 이병주로부터 채집한 종자의 전염율은 였다. 물리적성질은 내희석성이 배 였으며 내보존성은 실온에서 일, 내열성은 였다. 항혈청검정 결과 혼합침강반응에서 양성의 반응을 나타냈으며 SDS처리에 의한 한천내이중확산법에서 BCMV 항혈청과 band를 형성하였으며 AzMV와는 spur가 형성되지 않았으며 CAMV와는 spur를 형성하였다. 이상의 결과로 강낭콩에서 종자전염된 바이러스는 Bean common mosaic virus로 동정되었다. The virus infecting French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) was identified as Bean Common Mosaic Virus(BCMV) based on the host range, symptomatology, serology, morphology of virus particles and inclusion bodies. Isolates of BCMV were obtained from seeds of P. vulgaris collected at Suweon, Jangsu and Jinju in Korea. French bean produced vein clearing, mosaic, stunting and leaf curling. Symptom of Chenopodium quinoa was local lesions on the inoculated leaves, not on the upper leaves. The electron micrograph of the virus from French bean was flexuous approximately 750nm in length. Cylindrical and pinwheel cytoplasmic inclusion bodies were observed in French bean leaf infected by BCMV. BCMV from the French bean was transmitted through seed and green peach aphid, Myzus persicae. The thermal inactivation point was , dilution end point was and longevity in vitro was days for BCMV from French bean. The isolates of BCMV reacted positively against BCMV antiserum. The extract of BCMV infected bean leaves, Azukibean mosaic virus (AZMV) and Cowpea aphid borne mosaic virus(CaMV) also reacted with BCMV antiserum, however, BCMV and CaMV showed the spur in agar gel diffusion test.

The circuit board of an electronic equipment were simulated with a vertical channel which had thermal blocks protruded from one of the channel walls. A rought front plate was made of a circuit board attached with short wires to simulate the back side of a printed circuit board. Natural convection experiments were carried out to study the effects of channel space and rough front plate and to find the suitable characteristic value after the fourth row. The effect of a rough front plate was negligble. There were negligible effects of the channel space on the first and second heaters. Heat transfer coefficients after the third row decreased as the channel space decreased. Heat transfer coefficients were almost constant for larger than 20 mm channel space. A characteristic length was suggested to non-dimensionalize Nu and Ra numbers in a vertical channel with protruded heaters. A correlation was obtained using the new characteristic lengths.
