산성비, 오존층, 온실효과에 대한 고등학생들의 개념 이해도 조사

This study investigated high school students`` understandings about the concept of acid rain, ozone layer and greenhouse effect, and compared the results with those from previous research. We surveyed 125 students with the instrument used in the previous research. As the result, the number of students who knew the definition of acid rain correctly decreased. Students did not aware of the cause material of acid rain while knowing the source of the acid rain. Many students knew the location of ozone layer, but the number of such students decreased. Students confused the ozone in the ozone layer with the pollutant causing the greenhouse effect. Some students thought the increase of the ultraviolet rays due to the ozone layer depletion will cause the increase of the global warming. The number of students who knew the definition of the greenhouse effect decreased also. Students stated a few greenhouse gases to prevent the increase of greenhouse effect. Similar results were produced regarding the co-relationships among acid raid, ozone layer, and greenhouse effect: one phenomenon would worsen the other phenomena. The middle school curriculum should be enforced with the environmental concept, so as to the future citizen could make decisions on the environmental issues based on the sound understandings of global phenomena.

The dimensionless extinction constants, Ke of soot produced from a small laminar flame burning ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD) and soy methyl ester (B100) biodiesel fuel were measured in the visible (633㎚) wavelength. Experiments were performed at atmospheric pressure using a transmission cell in which simultaneous gravimetric sampling and light extinction techniques (GSLE) were employed. For the diesel soot, the average value of the Ke at 633nm was 11.1 whereas that of the Ke for biodiesel was 11.8 at the same wavelength. To quantitatively explain the difference in Ke in diesel and biodiesel soot, various factors including soot morphology and nanostructure were investigated.
관계형 데이터베이스 기반의 XML 응용을 위한 3단계 통합 설계방법론

XML is rising not only as data exchanges among companies, but also as core techniques of company information system, Database Management System which stores XML data as a prototype itself is becoming the next generation DBMS(Database Management System). DBMS industry is expecting that XML is mainly applied to information distribution among companies right now, but if web service is regularly implemented systems among companies will be changed gradually from HTML to XML base, and the industry is competitively proceeding to the development of database which effectively stores and manages XML data. Relationship DBMS forming the mainstream is now used as a tool which converts data of other formats to XML or vice versa. But because a problem may occur that the speed of DBMS processing is slowing down, it is expected that the demand of DBMS will be increasing which can store and call XML data as a prototype itself. Therefore this paper proposes database schema through three phases which can be able to process XML data effectively and an integrated design methodology for conversion to XML DTD.
XML 응용을 위한 EER 모델 기반의 통합 설계 방법론

Nowadays an information exchange on XML, such as B2B electronic commerce is spreading. Therefore the systematic and stable management mechanism for storing the exchanged information is needed. For this goal there are many research activities for connection between XML, application and relational database. Accordingly, A unified modeling methodology need to store the XML data on the variety database. In this paper an unified design methodology based on EER data model for XML applications is proposed. For this goal, first a XML modeling guideline for XML DTD based on ER data model is introduced. Second a database modeling methodology for storing on relational database is proposed.
