A Proposed Heuristic Methodology for Searching Reloading Pattern

A new heuristic method for loading pattern search has been developed to overcome short-comings of the algorithmic approach. To reduce the size of vast solution space, general shuffling rules, a regionwise shuffling method, and a pattern grouping method were introduced. The entropy theory was applied to classify possible loading patterns into groups with similarity between them. The pattern search program was implemented with use of the PROLOG language. A two-group nodal code MEDIUM-2D was used for analysis of power distribution in the core. The above mentioned methodology has been tested to show effectiveness in reducing of solution space down to a few hundred pattern groups. Burnable poison rods were then arranged in each pattern group in accordance with burnable poison distribution rules, which led to further reduction of the solution space to several scores of acceptable pattern groups. The method of maximizing cycle length(MCL) and minimizing power-peaking factor(MPF) were applied to search for specific useful loading patterns from the acceptable pattern groups. Thus, several specific loading patterns that have low power-peaking factor and large cycle length were successfully searched from the selected pattern groups.

Candida exists in the oral cavity as normal flora, which is cultured in 7% of the population. And the development of candidiasis is usually related to the systemic or local immunosuppressed status such as diabetes, long-term antibiotics, steroid, radiation therapy or chemotherapy. However, isolated laryngeal candidiasis in immunocompetent patients is a rare entity with fewer than 40 cases reported in the world. Symptoms of laryngeal candidiasis are variable such as hoarseness, dysphagia, or odynophagia according to its extent, but it has clinical importance because of its resemblance with laryngeal premalignant or malignant lesions. Diagnosis is made by biopsy under direct laryngoscopy with special staining to identify the hyphae. In this article, we report a case of laryngeal candidiasis presented as leukoplakia localized on vocal fold with literature reviews.

In this reply, I examine H.-J. Um’s (2014) conceptual arguments against caki as a bound-variable pronoun and S. Hoe’s (2014) empirical arguments against a unified analysis of local caki and long-distance caki. I contend that Um’s claim is misleading in that a source of a pronoun’s bound-variable reading is semantic and co-indexing of caki with its antecedent is not warranted. As for Hoe’s claim, I suggest that some differences between local caki and long-distance caki are not real and the others are derived from differences in a structural context in which each caki occurs. In conclusion, I claim that K. Choi’s (2014) proposal which unifies the two cakis as a bound-variable pronoun can be maintained.

모바일 상황인지 기술의 확산을 위해 모바일 기기의 효율적인 전력 사용이 요구되고 있다. 효율적인 전력 사용을 위해서는 모바일 기기가 사용하는 전력의 정확한 측정과 분석이 필수적이다. 그러나 기존의 모바일 기기 전력 측정 및 분석은 실제 동작환경인 이동 중 상황에 대해 고려하지 못하여왔다. 본 연구에서는 기존 측정 방식 도구들을 9가지 항목으로 비교하여 모바일 기기를 위한 포터블 전력 측정 및 분석에서의 요구사항을 도출하였고, 요구사항을 반영한 설계에 따라 임베디드 시스템 PPAM(portable power measurement and analysis tools)을 개발하였다. PPAM을 이용하여 모바일 기기의 GPS, WiFi, 가속도 센서모듈 전력을 측정하였으며, 기존의 방법과는 달리 실시간으로 이동 중인 상황에도 기기의 전력사용을 센서별로 정확히 측정할 수 있었다. 또한 각각의 모듈은 동작 상태에 따라 전력 소모가 다르기 때문에 상태별로 분석하여 모듈의 사용에 따른 단위 전력을 구할 수 있었다. It is required to use device"s power efficiently for mobile context-aware technology to be widely used. The accurate measurement and analysis of the amount of power consumption is essential to use power efficiently. However, the existing methods for the power measurement and analysis of mobile device don"t have considered the operating environment with real-time context which is generated by mobility. Therefore, we extracted the requirements for portable power measurement and analysis by comparing the existing methods based on 9 criteria and developed an embedded system (called PPAM: portable power measurement and analysis tools) according to the requirements. Using the PPAM, we conducted measuring and analyzing the amount of power consumption of GPS, WiFi, and acceleration sensor module. The result shows that the power consumption of the mobile device can be measured accurately according to sensors on the move. It also shows that we can get the amount of power consumption of individual sensors per unit time by differentiating them according to the operating states.
DTV 기반의 디지털고주파기억장치 개발 기술의 가치평가

본 연구의 목적은 항공기 재밍장비의 핵심 부품으로 재밍신호를 재송신할 수 있는 디지털고주파기억장치 개발 기술 의 가치를 평가하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 국방기술품질원에서 국방기술에 대한 가치평가를 위해 개발한 수익접근법 기반 의 “국방기술 가치평가 방법론(DTV)”을 사용하여 가치평가를 하였다. 가치평가 결과에 따르면, 디지털고주파기억장치 개발 기술에 대한 경제적 가치는 8.54억 원으로 평가되었고, 국방기술의 특수성을 고려한 공익적 가치승수는 0.7899로 평가되어 공익적 가치는 6.75억 원으로 산출되었다. 개발 기술의 최종 가치는 15.29억 원으로 평가되었다. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the value of the development technology for the Digital Radio Frequency Memory(DRFM), which is a core part of the aircraft jamming equipment to retransmit the jamming signals. In this study, we evaluated the values of the development technology using DTV, which is a developed methodology for the evauation of defense technology by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality(DTaQ). From the results, the economic value for the DRFM development technology and the multiplier of public benefit considering the peculiarities of defense technology were evaluated in 854 million won and 0.7899, respectively, and the public benefit value was calculated as 675 million won. The final value of the development technology was evaluated in 1,529 million won.

In this paper, I first show that the adversative passive and the lexical accusative passive in Korean constitute genuine counterexamples to the UTAH in Baker (1988, 1997). Given that the systematic correspondence between lexical semantics and syntactic structure captured in terms of the UTAH might be the result of the bare output condition imposed by the C-I, the co-existence of the UTAH and its counterexamples would remain a mystery. As a solution to the mystery, I propose that the co-existence itself is possible or available since Merge is in principle optional and is possible between any syntactic objects. If this proposal is in the right direction, it shows that the Minimalist framework is valid and that Merge is a true syntactic mechanism irreducible to any interface system.
