In this paper, we propose a three-phase isolated electrolytic capacitorless charger available for quick charger. In the proposed charger, electrolytic capacitor in DC link is eliminated by direct conversion from AC input to DC output. Conventional chargers are two stage structure including AC-DC and DC-DC converters, but the proposed charger can be simplified into single stage converter by using a matrix converter. And the waveform of input currents is improved by giving the weighting factor to the duty ratio of auxiliary switches. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed charger, simulations are carried out and a 1.2kW charger was constructed and experimented.

This paper proposes a DC-DC converter which is able to charge and discharge secondary batteries. The converter operates as a double-ended forward converter in charging process and as electrical isolated boost converter in discharging process. The converter is designed for continuous current operation. The switching frequency is selected as 100㎑ to reduce the size of both the inductor and the capacitor.

This paper study a method of modeling and simulation of LED driver circuit for a design optimization. Simplified LED modeling is introduced and a driver IC, HV9910, is modeled by implementing the major function blocks. Circuit of buck type converter is constructed for simulation. Simulation includes not only the internal function of IC but also the various performance results such as LED array current control and dimming. Experiment results are also shown to prove the verification of its usage. This results show that the simulation approach is valid for a circuit optimization and a reduction of development time.

절연된 부스트 변환기는 전기적인 절연과 매우 높은 승압을 필요로 하는 응용분야에 적합한 변환기이다. 낮은 입력전압을 높은 출력전압으로 승압하기 위해 필요한 변압기는 volt-sec 평형 조건을 만족하여야한다. 기존의 절연된 부스트 변환기는 도통구간을 오버랩하여 제어하였으며 이 경우 제어회로가 복잡해지는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 변압기의 volt-sec 평형을 위해 리셋권선을 설치하고 자기구동 스위치를 이용하여 제어회로를 간단하게 구성할 수 있는 절연된 부스트 변환기를 제안하고 해석한다. 마지막으로 출력 10[W]급의 절연된 부스트 변환기를 구성하여 시뮬레이션하고 실험을 수행하여 제안한 변환기의 이론적 해석의 타당성을 입증하였다. Isolated boost converter is desirable in the dc/dc converter applications where isolation is required and extremely high step up is needed. Transformer used to step up low input voltage into high output voltage must satisfy the volt-sec balance condition. Conventional isolated boost converter is controlled with conducting intervals overlapping. In this case, there is a problem that control circuit is complicated. In this paper, it is proposed and analyzed the isolated boost converter which set up a reset winding for the volt-sec balance of transformer and can construct the control circuit simple by using a self-driven switch. Finally, the validity of the theoretical analyses for the proposed converter is verified by both simulations and experiments on the 10[W] class isolated boost converter.
