        경성제대의 상상적 재구축: 일본인 출신자의 귀환 후 동창회 활동을 중심으로

        이 글은 경성제국대학 일본인 출신자가 1945년 일본제국의 패망으로 인해 본국으로 귀환한 후 경성제대의 경험과 기억을 집단적 구성물로 구축하는 과정을 검토하고 그 논리를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 경성제대는 1924년 설립된 제국대학으로서 1945년 폐교할 때까지 조선에 관한 식민지적 지식을 생산하는 최상위 엘리트 집단이었다. 경성제대 일본인 교수진과 출신자들은 귀환 후 동창회를 결성하고 경성제대의 위상을 ‘조선의 근대적 고등교육기관’으로 재조정하는 한편 새로운 한일관계의 가교를 자처했다. 또한 ‘대륙탐사’와 ‘내선공학’을 식민지적 지배구조와 별개인 경성제대의 독특한 학술 활동이자 학풍으로 의미화하고 그 ‘정신’을 계승하고자 했다. 경성제대의 ‘정신’, 즉 ‘성대적인 것’은 경성제대에 대한 식민지적 비판으로부터 그들 자신의 경험을 내부자적 관점으로 보호한다. 그러나 경성제대의 식민주의를 둘러싼 역사적 비판을 외부자적 관점으로 밀어내고 식민지적 타자인 조선인의 관점을 회피하는 것은 ‘내선공학’과 그에 기반한 ‘대륙탐사’를 역사적으로 논할 수 없게 만든다. 결국, 경성제대 동창회는 ‘히키아케의 상처’라는 전후 일본의 피해자적 관점과 구제고교의 “악동문화”라는 ‘내지’의 자유주의적 관점에서 ‘성대적인 것’을 표상한다. 경성제대 동창회는 타자를 성찰하는 역사적 논리를 찾는 대신에 과거를 무시간의 영역에서 상상적으로 재구축하는 일본적인 이야기 세계에 자신을 숨기고 식민지 조선을 대면할 기회를 스스로 놓아버렸다. This article reveals the colonial logic of repatriates from colonial Korea by examining the process of reconstructing the experience and memories of the Keijō Imperial University after 1945. Keijō Imperial University was established in colonial Korea in 1924 and until its closure in 1945, it had the status of an elite institution that produced knowledge systems about colonial Korea. After returning home, the Japanese faculty and graduates of Keijō Imperial University formed an alumni association and established the status of Keijō Imperial University as the modern institution of higher education in colonial Korea, taking the role of a bridge between Korea and Japan. In addition, “Continental Exploration” and “Japan and Korea as one” are phrases which became part of the narrative discourse of Keijō Imperial University, which could not be experienced at the Imperial University of Japan. Through this narrative discourse, the graduates and faculty members defended their own experience from colonialist criticism, and this implies an insider’s perspective. However, if they had placed the historical perspectives about the colonialism of Keijō Imperial University in an outsider’s perspective, it would mean abandoning the point of contact between Korea and Japan, which was the ideal that they pursued. In the end, the alumni represented Keijō Imperial University as a monument containing Japan’s postwar view of itself as a victim, “the wound of Hikiage (引揚げ),” and also containing the liberal notion of “the College Culture of Imperial Japan”. Instead of searching for the historical logic of colonial others, they hid themselves in the Japanese notion which reconstructs the past in the imagined timeless realm, and causing them to lose the opportunity to face colonial Korea.

        문학교육과 영어교육, 양자택일의 문제인가?

        This paper aims to examine that literature-based instruction is necessary for integrated language arts. It’s not a matter of choosing either literary education or english education. For this, we have to focus on reading, critical literacy, and literature-based instruction. What is the nature of reading? What are its social functions and effects? How is it learned? Reading is actually done in the public and private spaces of everyday community, occupational and academic institutions. The readings include a stance toward socially responsible literacy. Reading literature requires students to respond to book emotionally as well as cognitively. Students respond affectively to the literary text as a whole. These feelings are unique and tied to each reader’s life experiences. Emphasizing personal involvement in literature develops in students an imagination, a sense of wonder, and an active participation through the literary experience. The students valued literature as a means of enlarging their knowledge of the world, because through literature they acquired not so much additional informations as additional experiences. Literature provides a living through, not simply knowledge about. Critical literacy involves understanding the ways in which language and literacy are used to accomplish social ends. It also requires understand literacy as a tool for social action and understanding the ways in which that tool works, and it involves consciously reexamining comfortable cultural practices and values. We can empower students to read and write for social practice with the intended ends of changing the world. Teaching students to look critically at texts and the world around them can be fostered through reading and writing. Teaching and learning critical literacy takes shape by asking questions, seeking answers through the critical reading. So Reading is redefined at the outset as ‘a critical social practice.’

        해외유학생의 건강 관련 생활 경험

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore health-related life experiences of Korean international students residing in the United States. Methods: The participants of this study were eight Korean international students, grades ranging from sophomore to senior classes. Data was collected through in-depth interviews of participants. Data were analyzed using the phenomenological methodology by Colaizzi. Results: From significant statements, six theme clusters were identified as follows: Desolation coming from a changed relationship; Worsening condition of health ; Being physically and psychologically worn out due to the pressure from living independently; A feeling of confusion derived from Psychological dichotomy between inferiority and superiority; difficulty of receiving medical service; acknowledgement of the social and cultural glass ceiling. Conclusion: The results of this study may become a foundation of development for the health care program that can elevate the interest level of international students regarding their health and responsibilities to take care of their health.

        뉴스 감성분석과 SVM을 이용한 다우존스 지수와 S&P500 지수 예측

        The development of the Internet and the popularity of smart phones has created a rapid and dramatic increasement of the use for text data. The accumulated text data in database has been focused to utilize the value of the vast amount of shared text data. The study of sentiment analysis for the SNS using text mining techniques have been reported as the increasement of shared text data. News information on the Web is always available to be utilized for building an advanced information if the sentiment analysis were applied to predict the movement of stock price index. In this study, stock price index was predicted by integrating sentiment analysis of the news information into technical analysis of stock price index. This combination was also named as a model SS-SVM. SS-SVM takes advantage of 9 variable technical indicators combined with sentiment analysis of New York Times news information being conducted by SVM analysis. We collected data from the New York Times news summary, S&P 500 index, Dow Jones index and used the lexicon form SentiWordNet to calculate the sentiment value and polarity of each news. The experimental results shows that the performance of the proposed SS-SVM is statistically superior to than traditional models in significant.

        근대화와 영국 아동문학 : 문학적 관점에서 아동문학 발전의 역사적 조건 재해석

        The Victorian era was a golden age for children's literature. Changes in the social and historical conditions brought positive change to it. The French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, modernization, individualism, family ideology, educational system, Romanticism, and the advent of child reader are very important points to children's literature. In the early stages of a printed literature, there are few or no books published specifically for children. Perhaps a few books are intended for broadly educational purposes, such as courtesy or behaviour books, In the situation children, as they learn to read, long for 'their' books which appeal to them. Gradually stories written specially for children being to appear and eventually demands for books to meet a variety of interests and special needs emerge. The economic and social transformation is closely connected with children's literature. It has important social and literary functions, and it offers social and literary meaning as well as enchantment. The printed works produced ostensibly to give children's spontaneous pleasure and not primarily not to teach them, nor solely to make them good. Through these views, we need to enlarge the children's literature as a social and historical products.

      • 대학생들의 신체상 자기-차이가 운동실천, 섭식태도와 체중조절 관련 시술에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine influence of self-discrepancy of body image on exercise practice, eating attitude, and weight control therapy of college students. From August 17th, 2014 to April 30th, 2014, data was collected through online survey of 314 college students. Data was analyzed using the ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Male and female college students showed a significant difference between actual and ideal body shape and this difference had an effect on exercise practice, eating attitude, and weight control therapy. These factors are connected to healthy life of college students. Therefore, nursing intervention is required the program what prevents formation of distorted body image and modifies it.
