The purpose of this study is to estimate the probabilities that girl`s middle school students become fat by grade. The sample of 811 students(age range from 13 to 15) of girl`s middle schools located in urban area is selected and the logistic regression model is used to estimate probabilities for fat. Following conclusions are made based on the findings of this study. 1. The maximum likelihood estimates of parameters in logistic regression model show that the chest ( X 3 ) affects the probability to be fat for all grades more than other independent variables such as hight( X 1 ) and weight( X 2 ). The probability is increased when chest and weight are increased, but the probability is decreased when hight is increased. 2. The probabilities to be fat are estimated by substituting each grade physical index means for the fitted logistic regression model. The results are that the probabilities to be fat are comparatively high in all grades.
