중첩격자 기법을 이용한 트랜스액슬 브레이크 내부의 유동해석

Transaxle is a combination of transmission, power shaft and brake. Especially Brakeroom has complicated inner parts and rotating planetary gears, oil and air mixing, heat generation and so on. Inside of the brake there is oil for lubrication and cooling. Besides the oil circulation is key element of durability and performance. However it has been hard to investigate flow characteristics of brake. This paper perform flow analysis to predict flow characteristics in brake at operating condition. Standard K-epsilon model and VOF method are used to simulate two-phase flow. Overset mesh technique is used to simulate rotating planetary gear and brakepad. By using this overset mesh technique, rotating gear can be simulated more realistic and simulation solving time is much reduced compare with other methods. Using predicted flow information, existing brake design can be improved. Also CFD technique of rotating planetary gear simulation can be applied to other complicated gear simulation.
