The surface smoothness of dental porelain after the use of various staining and glazing technique was examined by scanning electron microscopy. 1. Autogenous self-glazing technique produced a most rough surface. 2. The fixation of stain at $1,500^{\circ}F$ followed by thin slurry of glaze powder air fired to $1,800^{\circ}F$ produce the most smooth surface. 3. The technique thin sluny of glare powder followed by slurry of stain powder air fired to $1,800^{\circ}F$ produce the poor result.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the interfacial elemental change when solding the Ni-Co-Cr dental removable partial denture alloy and Fe-Cr-Ni wrought wire alloy with Ag-Cu-Zu Silver solder, by EDXA, EPMA, to investigate the appropriateness of clinical usefullness for repair the fractured clasps of removable partial dentive. The result of this study was as follows: 1. The Ni element of major component of Ticonium penetrate into the silver solder 2. The movement Age element of silver solder into Fe-Cr-Ni wire was not significant, by EDXA and EPMA.

To evaluate the clinical usefulness of TENS theory, 12 dental studensts of KyungPook National University and 18 prosthodontic patients were applied by 3M DENTAL ELECTRONIC ANESTHESIA and the follwing results were obtained: 1. Using the TENS theory to 12students, and EPT test was conducted and 6 students among total 12 students showed the anesthetic effects to the pain(p<0.05). 2. 15 prosthetically preparated patients show the anesthetic effects to the pain among total 18 patients.

A study of the shear bond strength between dental porcelain and alloy on Ti depostion effect was conducted by Instron universal testing machine. The obtained result was as follows ; The shear bond strengths of Ti-depostion group and acid-etched group were statistically significantly greater than that of untreated control group (p<0.01)

The purpose of this study was to compare the marginal fitness between Ni-Cr alloy and type III gold alloy, according to two finishing line, chamfer and shoulder. As experimental materials, author selected type III gold alloy and Ni-Cr alloy (Hicrown) which were popularly used in Korea for the full cast crown. Author prepared the wax patterns with milled stainless steel die and ring. The wax patterns were invested, burnouted, and casted. The maginal discrepancy was measured with scanning electron microscope. Author obtained the following results from this study. 1. The maginal fitness of Type III gold alloy was not significantly different from that of Ni-Cr alloy (Hi-crown). 2. There is no significant difference between chamfer and shoulder in case of Type III gold alloy. 3. The maginal fitness of chamfer type is significantly superior to that of shoulder type in the Ni-Cr alloy (Hi-Crown).
비귀금속 박막이 치과용합금과 치과용도재와의 화학적결합에 미치는 영향

Author measured the bonding strength between Dental Porcelain and Nonprecious Dental Alloy and analyzed diffusion Phenomena at the interfaceby by Auger electron spectroscopy and also Electron spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis. The each specimen was sputtered with Al, Cr, In and Sn. 1. Ni whic is the main element of the matris of dental nonprecious alloy diffuse more than the other element and the Ni diffusion rate of each specimen was well coordinated with the bonding strength of each. 2. The Sn thin film suppress the diffusion rate of Ni of matrix into the Dental Porcelain than the In or Cr thin films. 3. The Al thin film suppress the diffusion rate of Ni than the Sn thin film. 4. The main coponent of dental porcelain : Al, Si, Mo diffused into the matrix of alloy. It means that the each element of dental alloy and dental porelain diffused into the each other part.

목적: 0.9% NaCl solution 에 2주간 담근 레이저 처리 임플란트 표면의 친수성 증가현상을 확인하고 그것이 각 임플란트의 초기 치유기간 10일 후에 임플란트의 회전 제거력에 미치는 영향을 확인하고자 한다. 재료 및 방법: 지름 3 mm, 길이 8 mm 되는 10개의 선반 가공된 티타늄 임플란트를 대조군은 레이저 처리하고, 다른 실험군 10개는 레이저 처리 후 2주간 0.9% 생리적 식염수에 담근 후 뉴질랜드산 흰 토끼의 경골에 식립한후, 10일 후에 각각 회전 제거력을 측정하였다. 각 시편의 젖음각과 표면조성 및 형태를 분석하였다. 결과: 10일 후에 실험군의 회전 제거력이 대조군보다 의미있는 증가세를 보였다 (P = .002, < .05). 주사전자 현미경 성분분석과, 형태는 별다른 차이를 보이지 않았다. 결론: 식염수에 담그는 과정은 의미있는 회전 제거력의 증진을 초기기간(10일 후)에 나타낼 수 있다. Purpose: The aim of this study was to confirm if Laser-treated implants were soaked in 0.9% NaCl solution for 2 weeks could increase the surface hydrophilicity, and the Remoal Torque of each implant that inserted in rabbit tibia for initial healing period of 10 days. Materials and methods: Twenty machined titanium surface screws were produced with a diameter 3 mm, length 8 mm. Ten screws had their surface treated with a laser only (laser treated group), and the other 10 were soaked in saline for 2 weeks after surface treatment with a laser (laser treated + saline soaked group). Implants were inserted in rabbit tibia (ten adult New Zealand white rabbits), and the RTQ of each implant was measured after 10 days. The wettability among implants was compared by measuring the contact angle. Surface composition and surface topography were analyzed. Results: After 10 days, the laser treat + soaking group implants had a significantly higher mean RTQ than the laser treated implants (P = .002, < .05). There were no significant morphological differences between groups, and no remarkable differences were found between the two groups in the SEM analysis. Conclusion: Saline soaking implants is expected to produce excellent RTQ and surface analysis results.
