        부산지역의 대기 중 중금속 농도

        This study was carried out to assess the present level of atmospheric metals. Five metals - lead, cadmium, chromium, manganese, vanadium - were checked on the industrial(Sasang) and residental area(Daeshindong) in the city of Pusan. Sampling period was the year of 1986, 1990 and 1994, and the sampling time was 2 days of each site. As the result of comparison with the atmospheric standard of ASHRAE(1980), the average concentrations of lead was above the standard, the average concentrations of chromium was around the standard, and the average concentrations of cadmium and vanadium was below the standard. The average concentrations of manganese was above the standard of industrial environment. And the average concentrations of five metals was higher in the industrial area than the residental area. The average concentrations of lead, cadmium and chromium showed the increase tendency by the year, and the average concentrations of vanadium showed no change, and the average concentrations of manganese showed the decrease tendency. As a result of correlation analysis, lead and cadmium(r=0.31), vanadium and manganese(r=0.24), vanadium and chromium(r=0.19) showed significance.

      • 흰쥐 복강 내 연 투여시 중추신경계, 간 및 신장의 형태학적 변화

        연은 조혈 기관계를 비롯하여 신경계와 위장관계에 영향을 미치는 대표적인 환경 및 산업 폭로 물질의 하나이다. 본 연구는 연 폭로에 의한 신경계와 간장 및 신장의 영향을 파악하고자 뇌세포에서 신경전달물질의 하나인 catecholamine의 합성 과정에 직접적으로 작용하는 tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)의 활성을 평가하고 간과 신장의 병리조직학적 소견의 변화를 관찰하였다. Lead is one of the representative hazardous materials which have the effect on hematopoietic system, nervous system and gastrointestinal tract by environmental and occupational exposures. For the evaluation of the effects of lead exposure on nervous system, liver and kidney, the author observed morphologic changes of neurons that have tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) which is the precursor for the synthesis of catecholamine and histopathologic findings of liver and kidney. Lead acetate was intraperitoneally injected daily into the male rats(Sprague-Dawley) with high (0.1mg/g) and low dosages(0.01mg/g), and the results were observed on the first, second, third, fifth, and fourteenth day. The concentration of lead in whole blood was analyzed with atomic absortion spectrophotometry. The number and the staining intensity of TH containing nerve cells sampled from the segment of substantia nigra and locus cerulus were observed by immunohistochemistry. Histopathologic findings of liver and kidney were observed by hematoxylin & eosin staining with light microscope. The results are as follows ; 1.The concentration of lead in whole blood was increased by the increased dose of lead acetate and there was no difference between high and low dosage groups. 2.TH containing cells were intensely stained in the high dosage group compared with the low dosage group, and the number and the staining intensity of TH containing cells were markedly increased in the sample of fifth day. After the fifth day the cell number and the staining intensity were decreased and locus cerulus showed more decreasing tendency. 3.There was moderate degree of necrosis and inflammation on the fourteenth day. Fibrosis and inclusion body in liver were not observed. There were no specific findings for the low dosage group. 4.In the histopathologic findings of kidney there were neutrophile and eosinophile infiltration around glomerular capillaries, loss and atrophy of tubular epithelial cell, mild interstitial fibrosis and inflammation, but no vascular changes and inclusion bodies were observed. And there were also no specific findings for the low dosage group.

      • Metagonimus Takahashii와 Heterophyes Nocens의 혼합인체감염 1례

        1991년 8원 16일 부산백병원 종합검진센타를 찾은 27세 남자의 대변에서 異形吸蟲類의 충란이 검출되었다. 한달후 parziquantel과 황산 마그네슘을 투여하여 치료하였던 바, 587 마리의 M. takahashii와 8 마리의 H. nocens가 검출되었다. 이에 생물학적, 역학적 性狀이 다른 두 이형흡충류의 혼합인체감염 1례를 보고함과 아울러 분류학적으로 이견이 많은 M. takahashii의 형태학적 특징을 재기술하였다. A case of natural human infection by Metagonimus takahashii and Heterophyes nocens was confirmed by collection of adult warms after praziquatel treatment on August, 1991, and in order to clarify the species identity, the morphological characteristics of M. takahashii were rediscribed. The patient was a 27-year old male residing in Hadong-gun, Kyungnam Province, Korea. He had the clinical complaints of fatigue, indigestion and arrhythmia, and said to have eaten raw flesh of several kinds of marine and/or freshwater fish. Praziquantel in single dose 10mg/kg was given followed by purgation with magnesium salt, and 587 M.takahashii and 8 H. nocens were collected from the diarrheal stools. M. takahashii were dorsoventrally flattened, 0.998×0.573mm in average size, and they had the following morphological characteristics : no posteriormost location of right testes ; separated left testis from the right one ; distribution of uterine tubules over the left testis and intertesticular junction ; distribution of the vitellaria passing through the posteriormost portion of the body ; larger size of the eggs. H. nocens were also dorsoventrally flattened, 0.924×0.543mm in average size, and they had a well-developed ventral sucker and a genital sucker bearing the 54 chitinous rodlets. From the above results, a case of human infection by M. takahashii and H. nocens was identified. This study may be the 32nd human case of H. nocens infection in the literature in Korea.
