Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of various relaxation techniques on various dysfunction problems caused by shortening of the sagittal muscles. Method: The subjects were 44(18 males, 26 females). The subjects were composed of 3 groups. The experimental group consisted of 14 patients with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching (PNF) technique, control group A 15 patients with self myofacial release (SMR) ball exercise, and control group B with 15 patients with Sling exercise. After 3 weeks of relaxation on the hamstring muscle, the length of the hamstring muscle before and after the intervention was compared. Results: The results of relaxation exercise of the snake muscles applied to passive PNF group, SMR ball group, and Sling relaxation group are as follows. 1. In the passive PNF group, the muscle length of the hamstring muscle was significantly increased after the intervention. 2. The muscle length of the hamstring muscle was significantly increased after the intervention in the SMR ball group. 3. Sling relaxation group significantly increased the muscle length of the hamstring muscle after sling exercise intervention. 4. Passive PNF group showed the greatest change in muscle length before and after intervention than SMR ball group and Sling relaxation group. Conclusion: Passive PNF relaxation therapy, SMR ball relaxation therapy, and Sling relaxation therapy applied to the hamstring muscle were effective in increasing muscle length of the hamstring muscle. PNF relaxation therapy showed the most significant effect after 3 weeks intervention.

Simultaneous measurements of turbulent velocity and concentration field in a stirred mixer tank are carried out by using PIV/LIF technique. Instantaneous velocity fields are measured with a 1K$\times$1K CCD camera adopting the frame straddle method while the concentration fields are obtained by measuring the fluorescence intensity of Rhodamine B tracer excited by the second pulse of Nd:Yag laser light. Image distortion due to the camera view-angle is compensated by a mapping function. It is found that the general features of the mixing pattern are quite dependent on the local flow characteristics during the rapid decay of mean concentration. However, the small scale mixing seems to be independent on the local turbulent velocity fluctuation.

A non-intrusive Planar Laser-Induced Fluorescence(PLIF) technique was applied to study the turbulent mixing process in a Rushton turbine reactor. Instantaneous and ensemble averaged concentration fields was obtained by measuring the fluorescence intensity of Rhodamine B tracer excited by a thin Nd:Yag laser sheet illuminating the whole center plane of the stirred tank. The gray level images captured by a 14-bit cooled CCD camera could be transformed to the local concentration values using a calibration matrix. The dye injection point was selected at the tank wall with three quarter. height (3/4H) from the tank bottom to observe the mixing characteristics in upper bulk flow region. There exist distinct two time scales: the rapid decay of mean concentration after the dye infusion reflects the large scale turbulent mixing while the fellowed slow decay reveals the small scale molecular mixing. The temporal change of concentration variance field conjectures the two sequential processes for the batch type mixing. An inactive column of water is existed above the impeller disk, in which the fluid rotates with the shaft but is isolated from the mean bulk flow.

Ice accumulating system patterned ice-an-coil is the way of refrigerating regenerative materials on the surface of copper-tube inserted into the inside of ice-storage. The study experimented to understand ice-an-coil type ice making characteristics according to changing shape of ice making tube. The experiment were carried out under various conditions, that used brine temperature(-10℃, -6℃), brine flow rate(1.0 ㎧, 1.8 ㎧) and inlet water temperature(6℃, 12℃) etc. Mass of ice per making area increased according to the decrease of the brine temperature and inlet water temperature, but that was increased according to the increase of the brine flow rate. And I set up two hypotheses and compared the capacity of ice-making of the two cases; each had the same thermal area and one had an round-shaped copper tube but the other had an oval-shaped copper tube.

The functional spherical microcapsules were produced through the innovative conjunction of the well-defined amphiphilic block copolymer and the stable droplet phase flow in the micro chemical plant. The microcapsules were formed to have hollow inner cavity and outer surface wall with nano-pores. To examine the potential of encapsulating foreign biochemical molecules, Congo-red dye was loaded into the microcapsule. The release performance in the specific surroundings such as temperature, pH and time was evaluated quantitatively.

Transurethral resection syndrome (TURS) is one of the complications of endoscopic transurethral operation with irrigation fluid. TURS comprehensively refer to several clinical symptoms and signs caused by intravascular absorbtion of irrigation fluid, hypertension, bradycardia, arrhythmia, respiratory distress, hypotension, confusion, blindness, seizure, coma, hyponatremia, and hypoosmolarity. TURS is mainly known as the complication of the transurethral resection of prostate (TURP), and rarely found in the procedures such as transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TUR-BT), hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, and arthroscopy. Only a few cases of TURS after TUR-BT have been reported. The patients on maintenance hemodialysis were restricted in the amount of water intake for volume control. They were susceptible to the absorption of irrigation fluid during TUR-BT since they had anuria. We hereby report the 2 cases maintenance hemodialysis patients who were led to TURS after TUR-BT.
