Study of the Interaction Between Biomolecule Monolayers Using Total Internal Reflection Ellipsometry

The quantitative analysis technique is very important for the study of the interaction between biomolecules based on biotechnology and drug development. The total internal reflection ellipsometry system (TIRE) is on attractive label-free technique for the quantitative analysis of bio-molecules because it combines the analytic ability of ellipsometry and the high surface sensitivity of surface plasmon resonance. In this work, we studied the optical properties of an aquatic monolayer of biotin labeled bovine serum albumin (BSA) and streptavidin (SA) using TIRE. Also, we monitored the adsorption and the interaction processes of protein layers.

It is important to know the degree of disturbance when evaluating the soil strength parameters from laboratory test. In this study, suction tests and unconfined compression strength tests were carried out to investigate the degree of disturbance of sample with soft marine clay of Kwangyang. Based on the test results, suction test is a good quantitative analysis for the degree of disturbance and shows a similar tendency with the results of unconfined compression strength test.

This paper is to give Korean small and medium enterprises the direction for strengthening the competitiveness through looking the problems and improvements about the government policy that domestic small and medium enterprises is essential for the growth anc development. To derive these results, the theoretical background was established through considering the existing research literature. This paper has drawn the final policy alternatives through collecting field data and analysing the practical support after meeting with executives that are operating a small business related to research purposes. In this paper in order to strengthen the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises of the government's support policy, it is critical for the financial support policy and the tax support policiest policy. The conclusions in this study are following. SMEs in Korean economic growth contribute greatly to advance industrial structure, regional balanced development, employment opportunities and to alleviate the concentration of economic power. However, there are these positive, and the negative such as the absence of entrepreneurial spirit and passive participation in society. Therefore, SMEs now should have your own a lot of effort to improve their competitiveness. In addition, government believe that SMEs directly impact on the national economy, especially the people, but they still need systematic and aggressive policy support in the future because of the lack of the result.Finally, if they try strategic approach for several issues and improvement of government's support policy that this study suggested for SMEs, the entrance toward developed countries can be through jumping of Korean economy
오버레이 링을 이용한 이동 에이전트 간의 안전한 그룹 통신 기법

일반적인 멀티에이전트 시스템에서 에이전트들 간의 통신 기능을 지원하기 위한 다양한 모델들이 제안되어 왔으며, 특히, 그룹 통신 기능을 지원하기 위한 다양한 기법들이 제시되어 있다. 그러나, 이동 에이전트 환경에서는 에이전트의 이주로 인해 발생하는 토폴로지의 변화를 고려한 새로운 그룹 통신 기법을 필요로 하며, 더불어 이러한 그룹 통신 기능의 안전성을 보장하는 기법이 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 계층적 오버레이 링을 이용한 이동 에이전트들 간의 안전한 그룹 통신 기법을 제안하며, 이 기법은 이동 에이전트의 이주에 따른 토폴로지의 변화에 유연하게 대응하기 위해 링 채널을 이용한다. 여기서 링 채널은 이동 에이전트들 간의 링 토폴로지를 구성하기 위한 객체로서 이동 에이전트 플랫폼에 의해서만 관리되며, 이에 따라 이동 에이전트들은 링 채널을 직접 관리할 필요가 없게 되고, 이주에 의해 발생하는 링 토폴로지 변화에 대한 고려 없이 그룹 통신을 진행할 수 있게 된다. In multi agent systems, various inter agent communication models have been proposed, and, especially, there are several group communication schemes proposed so far, where some schemes guarantees transparent communication among the agents. However, in mobile agent environments, we require new group communication schemes that consider topology changes caused by mobile agent migrations. Also, these group communication schemes should be secure in order for them to be practical. In this paper, we propose a secure group communication scheme using the hierarchical overlay ring structure of mobile agents. The proposed scheme uses the ring channel in order to cope adaptively with the change of ring topology. The ring channel has basic information for construction of the ring and is managed only by the mobile agent platforms. Therefore, each mobile agent need not directly handle the ring channel and it can perform group communication without any consideration on the change of the ring topology.

S자결장 정맥류를 동반한 Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber 증후군 1예

Colonic varix, which is a rare cause of lower gastrointestinal bleeding, can be developed by various diseases. Colonic variceal bleeding is more fatal than esophageal variceal bleeding. Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome is a rare congenital vascular malformation characterized by the clinical triad of bony or soft tissue hypertrophy, hemangioma and varicosities or vascular malformations. We report a 42-year-old female patient with fatal sigmoid variceal bleeding. She had dilated vessels over her body and face, and both superior and inferior vena cava were obstructed. She underwent an emergent operation due to uncontrolled massive bleeding from sigmoid varices. We report a case of Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome with literature review. (Korean J Gastrointest Endosc 2003;27:21-25) 결장 정맥류는 하부 위장관 출혈을 유발하는 매우 드문 질환으로 다양한 원인에 의해 발생한다. 일단 출혈이 발생하면 식도 정맥류 출혈보다 매우 치명적이다. Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber 증후군은 모세혈관기형, 심부 정맥류, 사지의 기형 등이 특징인 드문 질환이다. 저자는 전신과 안면에 혈관 확장, 대장 내시경검사에서 S자결장 정맥류가 있고, 상대 정맥과 하대 정맥이 동시에 폐쇄되었으며 신체 기형이 있는 Klippel-Trenaunay- Weber 증후군 환자에서 심한 정맥류 출혈로 S자결장 부분절제술을 시행한 예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고한다.
