This paper measures power quality of bus in case electric charges about customer are imposed by each bus, supposed that can calculate this cost. When reflected this in system planning, expected cost proposed following method through sample system. To calculate nodal cost operating condition of power equipment calculates nodal cost[$/MVAH] supposing by situation that is optimized by OPF(optimal power flow) in system. The damage cost that is shed by fault that happen during year of loads in system that is linked on each bus was produced. As a result, proposed method was very effective in case of calculating bus total cost including power quality cost.

Background: Headache/eyestrain symptoms are common health problems that people experience in daily life. Various studies have examined risk factors contributing to headache/eyestrains, and physicochemical exposure was found to be a leading risk factor in causing such symptoms. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of headache/eyestrain symptoms with physicochemical exposure among Korean construction workers depended on worksite. Methods: This study used data from the 4th Korean Workers Conditions Survey and selected 1,945 Korean construction workers as participants. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to determine the relationship. Results: Exposure to vibrations among all construction workers affected the moderate exposure group [odds ratio (OR) 1.53, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.01e2.32], the high exposure group (OR 1.77 95%CI 1.17e2.67), and the indoor high exposure group (OR 1.61, 95%CI 1.02-2.55) and among outdoor construction workers, the moderate group (OR 6.61, 95%CI 15.4e28.48) and the high group (OR 6.61, 95%CI 1.56e27.98). When exposed to mist, dust, and fumes, the indoor high exposure group was significantly affected (OR 1.63, 95%CI 1.07e2.47). All construction workers exposed to organic solvents were affected, high exposure group (OR 1.69, 95%CI 1.15e2.49) and indoor high exposure group (OR 1.77, 95%CI 1.08 e2.89). The high exposure group in all construction worker (OR 1.70, 95%CI 1.20e2.42) and the indoor high exposure group (OR 1.83, 95%CI 1.17e2.89) also were affected by secondhand smoking exposure. Conclusion: Many physicochemical exposure factors affect headache/eyestrain symptoms among construction workers, especially indoor construction workers, suggesting a deficiency in occupational hygiene and health environments at indoor construction worksites.

Obesity and type 2 diabetes (T2D) are two major conditions that are related to metabolic disorders and affect a large population. Although there have been significant efforts to identify their therapeutic targets, few benefits have come from comprehensive molecular profiling. This limited availability of comprehensive molecular profiling of obesity and T2D may be due to multiple challenges, as these conditions involve multiple organs and collecting tissue samples from subjects is more difficult in obesity and T2D than in other diseases, where surgical treatments are popular choices. While there is no repository of comprehensive molecular profiling data for obesity and T2D, multiple existing data resources can be utilized to cover various aspects of these conditions. This review presents studies with available genomic data resources for obesity and T2D and discusses genome-wide association studies (GWAS), a knockout (KO)- based phenotyping study, and gene expression profiles. These studies, based on their assessed coverage and characteristics, can provide insights into how such data can be utilized to identify therapeutic targets for obesity and T2D.
Case study: Effectiveness of a sketch learning model for engineering students
정성원 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.12
The sketch is one of the most important tools for industrial designers to solve problems and is actively utilized early in the process of developing ideas. In the engineering field, sketches are generally used as an important means of visualizing when designing structures and systems, but there is no systematic sketch education process for students of engineering, except during CAD classes. However, current engineering undergraduate students greatly need sketch education but lack confidence in their sketching abilities and lack opportunities for actual education as well. In this study, we conducted a four-week sketch education course after establishing a detailed sketch training curriculum for engineering students. The sketch training course consists of eight stages, in steps of 1 to 8, and includes the concepts of straight lines, curves, projection views, perspective, the adding and subtracting of three-dimensional objects, emphasis, and synthetic exercises. Four weeks of sketching classes were held for engineering undergraduate students. After these classes, the sketching abilities of the students were compared and various opinions about the sketch education were gathered. An expert evaluation shows that first- and second-year undergraduates who received the sketch education improved their sketching abilities more than those who did not receive the sketch education, with the former group showing increased confidence in sketching after the education. This study shows the process and the result of a field study of a sketch education course for these students of engineering. We expect that engineering students will be able to communicate with each other more effectively using their sketches. Furthermore, we hope they expand their thinking more freely with their sketches from the idea-development stage.
