Streptozotocin으로 유발된 당뇨병성 신장병증 생쥐에서 토리 내피세포의 Apoptosis와 미세구조 변화

당뇨병성 신장병증 (diabetic nephropathy, DN)은 당뇨병의 주요 합병증으로 사망 원인 중 하나이다. 본 연구는 streptozotocin (STZ)으로 유발된 실험적 당뇨병 생쥐 (ICR strain) 신장 토리의 세포자멸 (apoptosis)를 구명하기 위하여 수행하였다. 생쥐를 12시간 절식시킨 다음 STZ 50 mg/kg을 복강주사하여 1차 유발을 한 24시간 후에 동일량의 STZ을 투여하여 2차 유발을 하였으며, 72시간 후에 100 mg/kg을 복강 투여하여 3차 유발을 하였다. 혈당량과 creatinine 농도는 STZ를 투여한 후 점자로 증가하여 DN이 시작되었음을 암시하였다. DN 생쥐의 신장 토리에 대한 조직병리적 검사 결과 혈관사이세포가 국소적으로 증가하거나 PAS-양성물질이 정상군에 비하여 증가하였는데 실험 군 6주에서 보다 현저하였다. Apoptag에 염색되는 세포들의 수는 실험군 4주와 6주에서 정상군에 비하여 현저히 증가하 였다. 전자현미경 관찰 결과 실험군 4주에서는 핵의 전자밀도가 다소 높게 나타났으나, 실험군 6주에서는 생쥐 신장 토리 의 혈관사이세포와 내피세포의 핵이 괴사되어 전자밀도가 매우 높고 일부 바닥판들이 비후되어 있었다. 본 연구 결과 STZ로 유발된 실험적 당뇨병 생쥐의 신장 토리에서 조직병리학적 변화와 세포자멸이 나타났다. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) in mice induced by intraperitoneal injections of streptozotocin (STZ) three times at divided dosages; the first dosage of 50 mg/kg STZ was given to mice after 12-h fasting, followed by the second 50 mg/kg STZ at 24-h after the first injection, and the third dosage of 100 mg/kg was given at 72-h after the first injection. The plasma glucose and creatinine levels gradually increased after the STZ treatment, indicating the onset of DB. Histopathological examination of the kidneys of mice treated with STZ revealed focal areas of mesangial proliferation with increased periodic acid-Schiff-positive materials. At 4 and 6 weeks diabetic groups after STZ treatment showed severely degenerated nuclei of the mesangial and endothelial cells. These results indicate that apoptic histopathological changes occurs in the kidney of the STZ-induced diabetic mellitus.

In this paper, a closed hydroponics device was designed and fabricated to grow and harvest plants in a small space for safe consumption, which enables horticultural activities that are difficult to perform due to space constraints from urbanization. This device also aimed to minimize the air pollution of crops. To obtain data for the optimal growth conditions for crops in this intelligent plant-growing system, sensors were used to measure and control the growth conditions. To investigate the optimal growth conditions, blue lettuce and crown daisy were selected as representative crops. The growth rates were comparatively analyzed through four experiments for each plant. This hydroponics device was used to collect data on growth rates that are altered depending on cultivation conditions, which can then be used to study methods to control the growth rate of crops.

The research and development of an actuator are accelerating in the robotics industry. The electricity polymer and SMA actuator are designed simply and are produced a lot of forces per unit volume. Their motions are similar to human"s motion, But the repeatability of the electricity polymer actuator is lower. The reaction velocity of the SMA actuator is slow and the travel is short. In this paper, the dynamic characteristic of the segmented SMA is studied. The SMA wire is divided by using the Thermo-electric module(TEM) to control each of segments independently. The MOSFET circuit is used to supply constant currents for the Thermo-electric module(TEM). The hysteresis and displacement of the SMA wire according to load are measured.
비전 센서를 이용한 세탁기 밸런스 방향 인식 시스템에 관한 연구

When the laundry rotates in the washing machine, it tends to lean toward one side. This tendency causes a serious vibration. The balance of washing machine plays an important role which reduces the vibration by injecting the sand or the salt water into the balance of washing machine. The hot plate welder is used to prevent from outflow of contents. The hot plate welder brings about many problems which is concerned with accident. The workers are protected by loading/unloading system for balance of washing machine in hot plate welder. This system is required direction recognition and location information in the balance. In this paper, development of machine vision system for recognition direction of balance in washing machine is studied. Pattern recognition techniques are used to extract an geometric characteristics from the balance of washing machine and to acquire the most similar form the next image of balance. The data acquired by the pattern matching is used for recognition direction of balance. The image processing software for the system is developed using LabVIEW.

컴퓨터와 네트워크를 활용한 e-Learning은 언제 어디서나 학습할 수 있고 빠른 피드백, 역동적인 학습형태를 이루어 낼 수 있는 장점이 있어 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 연구들은 사이버 대학의 운영 현황의 문제점, 사례연구, 활성화 연구에 초점을 두고 있어 학습의 주체자인 학습자들에 대한 요구사항을 반영한 연구는 미비한 상태이다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 20대 대학생 145명을 대상으로 사이버 수강 후 설문을 통하여 이들의 요구사항을 분석하였고 이를 사이버 강의에 반영하여 그 효과를 알아보았다. 설문 분석 결과, 이들이 선호하는 콘텐츠 유형은 텍스트+이미지+동영상이라는 것을 알 수 있었으며 불만 사항으로는 학습난이도, 강의분량, 시스템접속, 출석 등이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 불만 요소를 제거하기 위해 개선 방안을 수립하여 이를 새로운 e-Learning에 반영한 후 학업 성취도를 검증한 결과 전체 평균 17.3점이 향상되어 매우 높은 학업 성취도를 보여주었다. 이러한 성취도결과는 교수자의 관점에서 교수설계도 중요하지만 학습자의 관점에서도 교수 설계도 필요하다는 것을 의미한다. The e-Learning, which uses the computer system and its networking, has the benefit of learning anytime and anywhere and quick feedback with positive learning system. Now the research on the cyber lecture is actively performed. But most of researches focus on the problems of operational status of cyber colleges, example study and activation study. So there aren’t many researches that reflect the requirements of students who are the main force of the learning system. This research asked 145 students from 20 colleges about the cyber lectures and analyzed their requirements. Then it applied them to the cyber lectures and studied its effect. It found that the students prefer the contents type that includes texts, images and moving pictures at the same time. They complained the degree of difficulty, the size of a lecture, system access and attendance. It removed the factors of these complaints and established a way of improvement to apply it to a new cyber lecture. Then it found the total average for the learning achievement improved by 17.3. It showed high learning achievement. The result of the achievement shows that the teaching design is necessary with the viewpoint of the students as well as the viewpoint of the teachers.

In recent years, as the robot technology is developed, the researches on the artificial muscle actuator that enable robot to move dexterously like biological organ become active. The widely used materials for artificial muscle are the shape memory alloy and the electro-active polymer. These actuators have the higher energy density than the electro-mechanical actuator such as motor. However, there are some drawbacks for actuator. SMA has the hysterical dynamic characteristics. In this paper, the simulation of anthropomophic robotic hand is performed using ADAMS and the segmented binary control for reducing the hysteresis of SMA is proposed. SMA is controlled by thermo-electric module. The relations between the force and the hysteresis are developed to verify the validity of the suggested method.
