In this paper, we propose the FP PID controller for the load frequency control of 2-area power system. While a PID controller is used in power system, they have many problems as the nonlinearities of power system. So, we are tried to compensate a conventional PID controller by a fuzzy logic-based precompensation approach to robust nonlinearities. Our results show that the proposed control technique is superior to a conventional PID controller in dynamic responses about load disturbances arising in power system. Our design is easily implemented by adding a fuzzy precompenastor to an existing PID controller.

This paper proposed an optimal scale factors technique of a fuzzy-neural network for a load frequency control of two areas power system. The optimal scale factors control technique is optimize from an initial fuzzy logic control rule, and then is learned with an error back propagation learning algorithm of the fuzzy-neural network. In application two areas the load frequency control of the power system, it hopes to have response characteristic better than the optimal control technique which is the conventional control technique and to show to minimize a frequency deviation and reaching and settling time of a tie line power flow deviation.
