회상요법을 활용한 집단미술치료가 독거노인의 노화태도와 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 회상요법을 활용한 집단미술치료가 독거노인의 노화태도와 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을살펴보았다. 연구 대상은 K시에 소재한 노인돌봄기관을 이용하는 65세 이상의 독거노인 24명(실험집단 12명, 통제집단 12명)이며, 실험집단에게는 2023년 9월5일부터 12월 12일까지 집단미술치료를주 1회씩 12회기 실시하였다. 연구도구로는 노화태도(AAQ-21)와 삶의 질(CASP-19) 척도를 사용하였으며. 집단 간 차이검증은 공분산분석을 활용하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 회상요법을 활용한 집단미술치료를 실시한 결과 실험집단의 노화태도에서 사회적 상실, 심신의 변화와성장 부문이 유의미하게 개선된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 회상요법을 활용한 집단미술치료를 실시한결과 실험집단의 삶의 질에서 자율성, 즐거움, 자기실현 부문이 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 회상요법을 활용한 집단미술치료가 독거노인의 노화태도와 삶의 질을 향상시키는 데효과적인 중재로서 유용하게 적용될 수 있음을 시사하고 있다. This study examines the effects of reminiscence-based group art therapy on the attitudes toward aging and the quality of life of elderly individuals living alone. The study participants were 24 elderly individuals living alone, aged 65 and older, who use a senior care facility in K City. They were divided into two groups: an exp. group of 12 and a control group of 12. The experimental group underwent 12 sessions of group art therapy once a week from September 5, 2023, to December 12, 2023. The Aging Attitudes Questionnaire(AAQ-21) and the Quality of Life in Ageing Scale(CASP-19) were used as research tools. Differences between groups were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance. The results are as follows. First, the experimental group showed significant improvements in their attitudes towards aging, particularly in aspects related to social loss, physical and psychological changes, and growth. Second, the quality of life in terms of autonomy, pleasure, and self-realization also significantly improved in the experimental group. These findings suggest that reminiscence-based group art therapy can be an effective intervention for enhancing aging attitudes and quality of life among elderly living alone.

Time Trend and Age-Period-Cohort Effects on Acute Myocardial Infarction Mortality in Korean Adults from 1988 to 2007

We examined time trend and age-period-cohort effects on acute myocardial infarction (AMI) mortality in Korean adults from 1988 to 2007. Annual AMI mortality data and population statistics from 1988 to 2007 were obtained from the STATISTICS KOREA website. Age adjusted mortality for four 5-yr calendar periods (1988-1992 to 2003-2007)was calculated by direct standardization using the Year 2000 WHO world standard population. A log-linear Poisson regression model was used to estimate age, period, and cohort effects on AMI mortality. In both genders, age-adjusted AMI mortality increased from period one (1988-1992) to period three (1998-2002) but decreased in period four (2003-2007). An exponential age effect was noted in both genders. The rate ratio of the cohort effect increased up to the 1943 birth cohort and decreased gradually thereafter,and the rate ratio of the period effect increased up to period three (1998-2002) and decreased thereafter. Our results suggest that AMI mortality in Korean adults has decreased since the period 1998-2002 and age, period, and cohort effects have influenced on AMI mortality.

Extraosseous multiple myeloma presenting as repeated intracranial bleeding and relapsing high fever with respiratory failure −A case report−

Multiple myeloma can usually be identified by non-traumatic vertebral fracture or signs of recurrent infection. Without these clinical signs, detection is unlikely. We briefly report a case of extraosseous multiple myeloma presenting as repeated intracranial bleeding and relapsing high fever. In doing so, we highlight the importance of subtle changes in laboratory findings. A 67-year-old man presented with spontaneous acute epidural hematoma, andhematoma evacuation was performed at the same site 3 times. A radiologic work-up failed to reveal any osseous lesions and he made a gradual recovery. In the meantime, he suffered unexplained fever up to 39oC despite normal chest and abdominal radiograms. Blood chemistry showed mild leukocytosis, high ESR and CRP, anda slightly elevated globulin. On his 15th hospital day, immunoglobulin studies confirmed the diagnosis of multiple myeloma. He was treated in the ICU for difficult breathing and uncontrolled fever. In spite of intensive critical care, his leukocyte count fell to below 2,000 and he died on postoperative day 28. Apparently normal laboratory and radiologic findings can hamper swift discovery and ultimate management of multiple myeloma. When there is unexplained repeated intracranial bleeding and accompanying fever, the possibility of hidden malignancy should be assessed to avoid delaying or missing treatment.

Wheel Balanced Cancer Therapy for Longer Than 21 Days Can Have a Positive Effect on the Survival of Patients with Stage IV Cancer

Objectives: Correlations of the levels of the nonspecific inflammatory markers C-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and of the coagulation marker fibrinogen with the treatment period of wheel balanced cancer therapy were determined. Methods: Electronic charts of stage IV cancer patients hospitalized from February 1, 2008, to November 30, 2013, were reviewed retrospectively. Patients whose laboratory follow-up tests included at least two data points for at least one marker were included. Patients receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy or having Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) levels exceeding 2 were excluded. Correlations of the markers with the length of treatment for treatment periods ≥ 21 and ≤ 20 days were determined by gender and whether or not surgery had been performed. Results: Analyses of the CRP and the ESR revealed a higher proportion of patients with stable marker levels than with increased or decreased levels. Also, only the ESR in female and the CRP in male groups had higher proportions of patients with stable marker levels than with increased or decreased levels. The ≥ 21 day group had a higher proportion of patients with stable CRP and ESR levels than the ≤ 20 days group. Only the ESR in female and the CRP in male groups had higher proportions of patients with stable marker levels in the ≥ 21 day than in the ≤ 20 day group. In addition, only the CRP in the surgery group and the ESR in the non-surgery group had higher proportions of patients with stable marker levels in the ≥ 21 day group than in the ≤ 20 day group. Conclusion: For stage IV cancer patients at hospitals that offer Korean medicine, more than 21 days of long-term wheel balanced cancer therapy (WBCT) should help maintain the CRP and the ESR levels and should have a favorable effect on the survival rate.

黃春明的短篇小說≪兩個油漆匠≫(1971)於1983年譯介到了韓國。 1986年當時韓國的社會批判性代表劇團“演友”排演了話劇≪七洙和萬洙≫, 雖然當時幷沒有指明, 但這個劇是根據≪兩個油漆工≫改編而來的。 1988年樸光洙導演又將劇本重新改編製作成電影≪七洙和萬洙≫。小說≪兩個油漆工≫和話劇≪七洙和萬洙≫以及電影≪七洙和萬洙≫相差甚遠。 這種差異緣于70年代初和80年代中期之間形成的時間差, 臺灣和韓國之間的文化差, 以及小說和話劇、 電影之間的體裁差等。 當然劇作家和演出家以及電影導演的藝術個性對於産生這種差異也起到了一定影響。 但在描寫城市化、 産業化時代的城市貧民痛苦生活, 以及通過這種描寫揭發社會矛盾和暴力性壓迫, 督促置身於這種矛盾和壓迫的我們自身反省, 以及啓示一種對眞正生活的嚮往等方面, 臺灣小說和韓國的話劇以及電影是相通的。 我們固然不能忽視差異但更該重視的却是共通之處。 如果我們注意到差異反而起到使這種共通性成立的作用這一點的話, 至今爲止集中於對差異的意指關係進行闡釋的許多文化間飜譯理論有必要進行一定程度的更正。
