Pressure vessel that was currently used was partially corroded and patch was attached for repair. The analyses for current repaired pressure satisfied the design criteria of ASME Sec. Ⅲ. However, the shell will be partly through corroded with the present corrosion speed during the time for next inspection. In this study, finite element analyses for feasible situations with corroded pressure vessel was performed based on design criteria (ASME Sec. Ⅲ) and supplementary patch was proposed for reliable operating.

In this study, to obtain the width effect on tensile property for NiCo thin film, the specimens were fabricated by etching process to make a smooth specimen of 2000 ㎛ length with 300 ㎛ of gage length, 10 ㎛ thickness and 3 kinds of width, 50, 100, 200 ㎛. These specimens had brittle characteristic, and values about 161±5.1 ㎬ of Young’s modulus without effect of width. There were tendency that specimens with smaller width have high fracture strength. The fracture strength for the width of 50, 100, 200 ㎜ were 1415.9±68.29, 1171.2±68.74, 1093.3±89.51 ㎫, respectively.

실대형 재하시험을 결과를 이용하여 개발된 새로운 전주기초 설계기법을 토대로 자동화 설계프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 기초와 흙 사이에 작용하는 토압분포에 대한 역학적인 고려를 통해 기초의 안정성을 합리적으로 평가함으로써, 주어진 단면에 대하여 최적의 기초 매설깊이를 산정 할 수 있다. 또한 윈도우 기반의 사용자인터페이스를 개발함으로써 기초 설계에 대한 비전문가도 쉽게 전주기초의 설계가 가능할 수 있도록 프로그램을 구성하였다.

In this paper, a design program for electric railway pole foundation was developed by applying the estimation study performed by Korean Railway. There are two kinds of shapes in the cross-section of electric railway pole foundation: rectangle and circle. In foundation designing, The rectangular foundation should be satisfied with vertical, horizontal and moment equilibrium equations. On the other hand, the circular foundation should be satisfied with horizontal and moment equilibrium equations. The design program was coded into MFC(Microsoft Foundation Class) by MS Visual C. The equation's roots in the program were obtained by Incremental Search method. Dialog and property sheet(Wizard Mode) input windows were selected for user-friendliness. The biggest advantage of this program is to find an optimum depth in a given section.
