The purposes of this study was to investigate the gender differences in lifestyle and fashion involvement of university students. The questionnaire survey was conducted on 276 university students (male students 46.7%, female students 53.3%) in the Chungcheong area. Frequency, factor analysis, χ₂ and t-tests were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: 1) Regardless of gender, most students wore T-shirts and blue jeans as campus wear for spring season. 2) Lifestyle of university students were classified into six factors: achievement-oriented, fashion-oriented, leisure-oriented, information-oriented, conservative-oriented, appearance -oriented. 3) There were partially significant differences in the lifestyle according to the gender. 4) The fashion involvement of university students showed significant differences according to the gender. Female students was distributed the high fashion involvement group more than male students. 5) There were partially significant differences in the fashion involvement according to the their lifestyle.
