About 4,800 soil drums were generated in the process of maintenance on KRR site (Korea Research Reactor) in Seoul. Most of the drums are processed by regulatory clearance in 2007-2008 and the remaining 1800 drums are currently stored in KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). To decide a treatment method of radioactive soil for final disposal, the soil is classified according to a particle size. Based on the results of the radioactivity concentration for the classified soil, methods such as regulatory clearance, decommissioning, and solidification were decided. Many papers show that radioactive soil is disposed of using a decontamination agent or other method. But it is difficult to decontaminate radioactive particles from fine soil particles because the adsorptive power of fine soil particles is too strong. This study was focused on finding a particle size distribution of radioactive soil that can be used as an operating range for cement solidification produced by a suitable ratio of radioactive soil for final disposal. Workability, free-standing water, compressive strength, immersion, and leaching tests were carried out to evaluate characteristics of the cement solidification. Cement solidification is the only method for final disposal because radioactive soil particle sizes below 500 μm exceed the regulatory clearance criteria (< 0.1 Bq/g). According to the test results for cement solidification, 0.4 water/cement and 0.5 soil/cement ratios are the most appropriate operating ranges.

AI기술의 유용성과 발전 가능성은 다양한 분야에서 확인되어 왔고, 디스플레이 산업에도 AI 기술들이 적극 도입되고 있다. 디스플레이 산업에 도입된 기존의 AI 기술들은 주로 engineer나 불량 검사자의 업무를 자동화하는 목적이었으나, 최근에는 engineer의 업무를 대체하는 고도의 지능화된 AI 기술들이 도입되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 지능화된 AI 기술 중에서 강화 학습, 자연어 처리, Pattern Matching 기술의 원리와 적용 사례들을 다루어 보았다. 첫번째로 강화 학습의 기본 개념을 설명하고, 설비 control (scheduling), 재료 탐색, 그리고 회로 설계에서의 적용 사례를 살펴보았다. 두번째로는 자연어 처리에서는 기술의 기본 원리 및 다양한 적용 방법론들에 대하여 다루었고, 제조 검사 리포트 분석, 지식재산권 분석, 연구문헌 분석 등에서의 활용 사례를 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 Pattern Matching에서는 기술 개요와 최근의 기술 동향을 기술하였고, Object Detection과 Object Tracking 기술 비교와 함께 패널 설계 도면으로부터 engineer 가 관심을 가져야 할 pattern 탐색에 대한 적용 사례를 살펴보았다.
치은연하 치석제거와 치근면 활택술시 Gracey curet과 Mini-five curet의 치석제거 효과에 대한 비교 연구

Removal of subgingival calculus is essential for the success in periodontal treatment. Subgingival instrumentation is used for the removal of all bacterial plaque and calculus. In this study, two types of anterior curet were used on ant. teeth to conduct subgingival scaling and root planing. The remaining amount of calculus was evaluated according to type of instrument, depth of pocket, and tooth surface. 24 teeth extracted from patients being treated at Dan Kook University dept. Perio. were used. 4 surfaces per tooth a total of 96 areas were evaluated. 12 teeth treated with Gracey No. 1-2 was used as the control group and 12 teeth treated with Mini-five curet No. 1-2 was the experimental group. The 4 surfaces of the teeth {buccal, mesial, lingual or palatal, distal) were observed under a stereomicroscope and the images were captured 3 times per surfaced with a CCD. The image were observed on the monitor using a $10{\times]10$ grid produced with the Microsoft power point. The amount of calculus remaining was evaluated 3 times per surface. The results were as follows. 1. There was no significant difference in remaining calculus according to the pre-treatment pocket depth, and tooth position{Mx. or Mn). 2. The Mini-five curet showed better results than the Gracey curet but there was no statistically significant difference. 3. In both Gracey curet group and Mini-five curet group the lingual(or palatal) surface showed significant difference compared to the other surfaces(p<0.05). From the results above, it is thought that when treating ant. teeth consideration of the tooth surface is more important than the choice of instrument.

A feedforward control law which is efficient in eliminating the effect of measurable disturbances on process outputs is synthesized by a fuzzy modeling. Through analyzing the process operation data sets we constructed the fuzzy model that could calculate the manipulation at steady-state for the load and/or set-point change and designed a feedforward/feedback controller based on it. The designed controller was installed to a CSTR polymerization reactor and its performance was evaluated through simulations.
Robot-assisted Therapy in Stroke Rehabilitation

Research into rehabilitation robotics has grown rapidly and the number of therapeutic rehabilitation robots has expanded dramatically during the last two decades. Robotic rehabilitation therapy can deliver high-dosage and high-intensity training, making it useful for patients with motor disorders caused by stroke or spinal cord disease. Robotic devices used for motor rehabilitation include end-effector and exoskeleton types; herein, we review the clinical use of both types. One application of robot-assisted therapy is improvement of gait function in patients with stroke. Both end-effector and the exoskeleton devices have proven to be effective complements to conventional physiotherapy in patients with subacute stroke, but there is no clear evidence that robotic gait training is superior to conventional physiotherapy in patients with chronic stroke or when delivered alone. In another application, upper limb motor function training in patients recovering from stroke, robot-assisted therapy was comparable or superior to conventional therapy in patients with subacute stroke. With end-effector devices, the intensity of therapy was the most important determinant of upper limb motor recovery. However, there is insufficient evidence for the use of exoskeleton devices for upper limb motor function in patients with stroke. For rehabilitation of hand motor function, either end-effector and exoskeleton devices showed similar or additive effects relative to conventional therapy in patients with chronic stroke. The present evidence supports the use of robot-assisted therapy for improving motor function in stroke patients as an additional therapeutic intervention in combination with the conventional rehabilitation therapies. Nevertheless, there will be substantial opportunities for technical development in near future.
