The proposed approach achieves the reliable accuracy of synthetic aperture radar-automatic target recognition (SAR-ATR) with a simulation database. The simulation images of targets-of-interest are generated from inverse SAR using high-frequency techniques. A measurement image translation-automatic target recognition (MIT-ATR) uses two deep learning networks. The unique feature of the MIT-ATR is that the measurement images are translated to the simulation-like images by cycle generative adversarial network (CycleGAN). CycleGAN does not need to have a dataset of paired images between the measurement and simulation images. The generated simulation-like images are used as the inputs of the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) network. The VGG network is trained on a simulation database with a softmax layer of multi-classes. Five classes, including a T-72 tank, are considered in the numerical experiments. The images of each class are simulated at all azimuth angles, but the elevation angles range from 6° to 30°. The accuracy of the proposed approach is 63% better than that of the traditional method with only the VGG network. The simulation database could definitely supplement the lack of measurement data. The accuracy of MIT-ATR is properly handled by CycleGAN and the VGG network.

Pressure sore is an ulceration and necrosis of the skin and underlying tissue usually occurred over the bony prominence of the body after prolonged or repeated pressure. Recently, the incidence of pressure sore has been increased due to development of the industry, increased number of the traffic accident and cerebrovascular accident. Authors reviewed 80 sites of 53 patients who had received surgical treatment for pressure sore and could be followed up from March 1990 to February 1995. The following results were obtained. 1)The ratio between male and female was 1.3:1 2)The most common age groups were forties and sixties. 3)The etiologies were traffic accident, CNS disease, CO intoxication etc. in order of frequency. 4)Location of pressure sores were ordered as follows; sacral region, ischial region, trochanteric region, foot, back, and spine. 5)Methods of operation were direct closures in 7 cases, skin graft in 10 cases, local skin flap in 18 cases, musculocutaneous flaps in 50 cases, muscle flaps in 4 cases, and free flap in 1 case. 6)Postoperative complication rate revealed 24.4%(22 of 90 operation sites); wound disruption in 10 cases, wound infection in 7 cases, skin graft slough in 1 case, partial flap necrosis in 2 cases and total flap necrosis in 2 cases. 7)On bacteriologic examination prior to surgery, the cultured otganism were found as follows : mixed infection in 12 patients, staphylococcus in 7 patients, pseudomonas in 6 patients, E.coli in 4 patients and others etc. 8)Recurrence rate revealed 9.4% (5 of 53 patients). All recurred patients were included in paraplegia or quadriplegia. The average interval of the recurrence was 15.8 months. The sites of recurrence were sacral region in 3 patients and ischial region in 2 patients.
