알루미늄은 생활 전반에 사용되는 소재로, 산화가 쉽게 되어 다양한 산화상태의 조성을 가진 표면으로 존재한다. 따라서 알루미늄의 표면을 원하는 기능을 가지도록 코팅하는 연구가 다양한 공정으로 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 가전제품이나 건축물 실내장식으로 활용하기 위하여 반짝임이 덜하며 자기세정의 기능을 가지는 알루미늄 표면을 제작한 결과를 보고하고자 한다. 알루미늄 표면의 텍스처링을 위해서 임프린팅방법을 사용하였으며, 자기세정의 기능을 위하여 실록산과 중공나노입자 발수제를 활용하여 시료를 제작하였다. 제작된 시료는 패턴의 활용으로 빛 반사가 감소되고, 구조와 발수제의 코팅으로 물, 오일, 요거트, 네임펜에 대하여 자기세정 효과를 보였다. 특히 모든 공정에서 유독한 화합물을 적게 사용하는 친환경 공정과 과불화화합물이 들어가지 않은 발수제를 사용하였기에 향후 다양한 응용에 활용이 기대된다. Aluminum is a widely used metal material in various applications of our daily lives. However, aluminum surfaces are prone to oxidation and exist under various oxidized states. Therefore, research on diverse coating of aluminum surfaces to provide desired functionalities is being conducted through a variety of processes. In this paper, we report the results of creating aluminum surfaces that reduce sparkle and have self-cleaning properties for use in home appliances and architectural interiors. To texture the aluminum surface, we used an imprinting method, and for the self-cleaning function, we used a polysiloxane-hollow nanoparticle based hydrophobic coating. The fabricated samples reduced light reflection owing to pattern utilization, and the coating exhibited self-cleaning effects against water, oil, yogurt, and name pen. All processes used environment-friendly methods, which used less toxic chemicals and avoided the use of perfluorinated compounds, making them promising for various applications in the future.
Carbon Rich 분위기에서의 KHR45강의 침탄특성 평가 연구

In this study, an HP-mod. type(KHR-45A), which is used as a heater tube material in the pyrolysis process, was evaluated for its carburizing properties. It was confirmed from the microstructural observation of the tubes that the volume fraction of carbide increased and that the coarsening of Cr-carbide generated as a degree of carburization increased. The depth of the hardened layer, which is similar to the thickness of the carburized region of each specimen, due to carburization is confirmed by measurement of the micro-Vickers hardness of the cross section tube, which thickness is similar to that of the carburized region of each specimen. Two types of chromium carbides were identified from the EBSD (electron back-scattered diffraction) image and the EDS (energy-dispersive spectroscopy) analysis: Cr-rich $M_{23}C_6$ in the outer region and Cr-rich $M_7C_3$ in the inner region of tubes. The EDS analysis revealed a correlation between the ferromagnetic behavior of the tubes and the chromium depletion in the matrix. The chromium depletion in the austenite matrix is the main cause of the magnetization of the carburized tube. The method used currently for the measurement of the carburization of the tubes is confirmed; carburizing evaluation is useful for magnetic flux density measurement. The volume fraction of the carbide increased as the measuring point moved into the carburized side; this was determined from the calculation of the volume fraction in the cross-section image of the tubes. These results are similar to the trends of carburization measurement when those trends were evaluated by measurement of the magnetic flux density.
서남해 해상풍력 실증단지에서 조류의 분포, 비행고도 그리고 서식지 이용

We observed five species and 163 individuals of birds in the Demonstration Offshore Wind Farm in the southern part of the West Sea in Korea, and 33 species and 4,023 individuals from Gusipo to Dongho Beach. The most dominant bird in both areas was the black-tailed gull, Larus crassirostris. The flight height of birds for collision risk (wind turbine and bird) was divided into two groups. First, the safe height was from sea level to 20 m (< 20 m), with no effect from the action of revolving blades. Second, the danger height was more than 20 m from sea level (> 20 m), with a collision risk from the action of revolving blades. Birds flying a safe height (< 20 m) were 83.9% (271 individuals) and danger height (> 20 m) were 16.1% (52 individuals). Also, 11.7% of birds (35 individuals) used the inside of the Demonstration Offshore Wind Farm as a habitat for foraging and resting, and 88.3% birds used the outside. We suggest that the risk of collision with the wind farm was low due to the relatively low flight height of birds and distance between wind turbines (> 800 m).
하부요로증상을 가진 남성 환자의 요역동학검사 소견 및 술 전 검사소견이 경요도전립선절제술의 결과에 미치는 영향

Purpose: We tried to find out the urodynamic features of the male patients suffering with lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS) and we wanted to know the effects of the preoperative parameters on the outcome of transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP). Materials and Methods: One hundred ninety four patients who had LUTS and who had undergone urodynamic study were available for analysis. The history taking and physical examination, urinalysis, International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS), transrectal ultrasonography, serum prostate-specific antigen(PSA) level check and urodynamic study were performed for all the patients. Also, the postoperative IPSS and satisfaction level were accessed for the patients who had undergone TURP for bladder outlet obstruction(BOO), and the preoperative factors such as age, prostate volume, PSA and urodynamic findings were analyzed. Results: For the total 194 patients, there were 123 BOO patients(63.4%), 62 detrusor overactivity patients(13.4%) and 19 detrusor underactivity patients(9.8%). For the patients who had undergone TURP, the IPSS was decreased from a preoperative value of 20.5 to a postoperative value of 9.0. We divided the patients into two groups in accordance with the level of satisfaction after the operation. Within the two groups, the dissatisfied group showed a preponderance of preoperative detrusor overactivity. When performing IPSS, both groups showed a decreased score with each having a different range: from 20.8 to 6.1 in the satisfied group, and from 23.2 to 14.8 in the dissatisfied group. Conclusions: BOO is most common cause among the male patients who have LUTS and who are more than 50 years old, but other causes should be considered. Moreover, if BOO accompanies detrusor overactivity, the importance of the preoperative urodynamic findings deserves emphasis, and it will help to predict the results of performing TURP.
