A Melanin Biosynthesis Inhibitor from Impatiens balsamina

  Melanin is a polymer of phenol which produces hyperpigmentation with an increase in melanin pigment in the skin. Melanin synthesis is catalyzed by the enzyme tyrosinase. A inhibitor of melanin biosynthesis was isolated from the flower of Impatiens balsamina by activity-guided fractionation and subsequently identified as kaempferol. It strongly inhibited tyrosinase and inhibited melanin formation of Streptomyces bikiniensis as well. It did not inhibit the growth of S. bikiniensis in the concentrations used in this study. The results will be able to apply to cosmetic and medical fields.

A Single-Step Multiplex RT-PCR to Detect Enteric Viruses

  A single-step multiplex reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay that detects and identifies Adenovirus, Astrovirus, Norovirus genogroup I (GI) and II (GII), and Rotavirus in stool samples is described. The primers for Adenovirus, Norovirus GI and GII, and Rotavirus were designed from the capsid region of target viral genome and one primer set for Astrovirus was designed from the RNA-dependent RNA polymerase gene. The multiplex RT-PCR reaction mixture containing five sets of primers amplified each expected product independently and specifically in a single-step with the One Step RNA PCR Kit (AMV) (Takara). The multiplex RT-PCR was validated against simplex RT-PCR for Astrovirus, Norovirus GI, Norovirus GII, and Rotavirus, and against simplex PCR for Adenovirus. The multiplex RT-PCR was equally specific in detecting Adenovirus, Astrovirus, Norovirus GI and GII, and Rotavirus compared with simplex RT-PCR and PCR.

지속가능한 지역교육발전 지원모형탐색

본 연구는 K시의 학부모 등 지역주민들의 지역교육발전 정책에 대한 요구를 분석하고, 그것을 토대로 K시의 지속가능한 지역교육발전 방안을 탐색하고자 시도되었다. 이를 위한 연구방법은 학생, 학부모, 교육관계자 및 지역교육 단체들에 대한 요구조사, 심층면담(FGI), 토론회 등이었으며, 이러한 방법에 의하여 수집된 자료는 연구목적에 따라 분석되었다. 이렇게 분석된 연구결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, K시의 학부모 및 교육관계자들은 K지역교육발전 정책에 대하여 성적우수 학생 학력향상 집중, 진학 및 학습 컨설팅 지원, 성적우수학생 장학금 지원 등에 역점을 두어야하는 것으로 인식하고 있고, 둘째, 그들은 지역교육발전을 위하여‘지역교육 발전협의체’가 구성되어 교육정책에 관한 토의가 정기적으로 이루어져함을 주장하고 있으며, 셋째, K시의 지속가능한 지역교육발전을 위해서는 명확한 비전과 목적, 추진과제, 추진전략 등을 포함한 교육발전계획 모형이 수립되고 추진되어야함이 제시되었다. 따라서 이러한 지속가능한 지역교육발전 모형의 계획수립과 실천은 각 지방자치단체들이 지구촌 시대, 지식기반정보화 시대, 고령 사회를 헤쳐 나갈 수 있는 교육체제에 대한 혁신적인 노력이며 생존 전략이라 할 수 있다. This study is to explore the support model for sustainable regional education development by investigation of stockholders’ educational need in ‘K’ county. In order to do so, it was first investigated by stakeholders’ need for policies of regional education development, and then suggested the support model for sustainable regional education development. The study was investigated by questionnaire for stakeholders’ educational need, focused group interview (FGI), conference etc. The results of this study are as follow: First, stakeholders need to support education development policies such as concentrating the academic improvement for excellent students, consulting for learning and advance, and supporting scholarship for excellent students. Second, they suggested in founding the educational development council for K county, Third, ‘K’ county should build and promote in the support model with specific vision, goals, tasks, and strategies for sustainable regional education development.

Kano모형을 활용한 시니어 해외패키지여행상품 품질 분석

This study is focused on the quality analysis of Senior Package Travel service using the Kano model and Timko CSC. For this study, subjects were selected among seniors over the age of 60 who have traveled overseas using packages within a year, and 302 data were used as valid samples based on the questionnaires that had been received from them. The questionnaire was distributed and collected, and the survey was conducted for about 1 month from November 2019. Kano model and Timko s CS-coefficient were calculated and visualized using R. Through this study, first of all, 11 were Attractive quality, 9 were One Dimensional quality, 4 were Must-be quality, 3 were Indifferent quality, and 2 were Reverse quality from 29 items in total. Second, no additional cost and quick service were categorized as a one-way quality, and flag carrier in Korea, photography service of guide, and coordination among other customers were shown as attractive quality. Lastly, activities and visits to duty-free shopping centers were categorized under inverse quality. In conclusion, seniors want safe, comfortable and polite travel with other people when they use overseas travel package. This study shows that seniors who can afford to experience overseas travel every year need to reconsider the composition of various attributes of overseas travel package.

대학 평생교육체제 지원을 위한 단과대학 재구조화 방안 연구

The objectives of this study are, first, the laws and systems related to university lifelong education in Korea, the recent review of university lifelong education policy, and second, the institutional settlement plan of universities at the university level, and the exploration of university development model. Literature surveys, interview surveys, and research councils were promoted as research methods. The literature study analyzed the literature and data related to laws and systems related to university lifelong education, analysis of the status and status of lifelong education system, and research on institutional settlement of universities at the university level. Legislation and policy directions of lifelong education groups and universities at the national level were proposed to promote the two-way system of the university’s lifelong learning policy headquarters, limit the use of labor costs and encourage employment with the university’s own budget, and to secure policies and lifelong education.

외척과의 관계에서 본 고려 의종의 폐위와 명종의 즉위

In Goryeo history, the dethronement of King Uijong and enthronement of Myungjong, discussed King Uijong’s wrong politics, the literary ruling group’s discrimination against military officals, and complaints from ordinary soldiers, reflecting certain facts. In addition, the foundation that cannot be overlooked as a close aide to King Uijong is the maternal relatives. Therefore this study is purposed to reveal the background of the dethronement of Goryeo king Uijong and enthronement of Myungjong, in relation to the king’s maternal relatives, Jeongan Iim family. Because, one factor that King Uijong failed to take the initiative of the political situation was that he lost his support base by rejecting maternal relatives, Jeong An-im with a balanced role. Generally researchers agree that the king’s maternal relatives are the supporters and patrons who support and protect the king. Nevertheless, King Uijong kept away from his mother, empress dowager Gongye and rejected his maternal relatives. On the other hand, king Myungjong had his maternal relatives, Jeongan-Lim family be faithful to their basic duty, and protect and support the king, based on his stable relationship with his maternal relatives. The research was carried out by analyzing and interpreting the historic materials based on previous research results. The point is focused on the background of king Uijong's rejecting the Jeongan-Lim family and his dethronement, and the enthronement of Myungjong and the restoration process of the Jeongan-Lim family. In conclusion, king Uijong lost the base of support by excluding and keeping away from his maternal relatives, and finally failed to seize the initiative in the operation of political situations to ultimately collapse. But, Myungjong succeeded to the throne as King Myungjong with the backing of his maternal relatives and the support from the political forces formed during his Ikyanghu period, based on his political ambitions for the throne. The specific political activities of Jeongan-Lim family during the period of king Myungjong’s reign will be explored and examined in the future research.

High-Resolution Melting Assay for the Detection of fliC variations in Salmonella serotypes Dublin and Naestved : High-Resolution Melting법을 이용한 살모넬라 혈청형의 분리 동정

High resolution melt curve analysis(HRM) is a simple post-PCR technique which can be used for mutation scanning and genotyping. We identified Salmonella enterica Dublin and S. enterica Naestved which have single base difference between them in fliC gene by HRM. The 102-base pair amplicons expressed different melting temperatures. Using the method, we can identify serotypes even which have a base variant without post-PCR handling, resulting in short analysis time.
