        Use of Cell-Penetrating Peptides in Dendritic Cell-Based Vaccination

        Cell-penetrating peptides (CPPs) are short amino acids that have been widely used to deliver macromolecules such as proteins, peptides, DNA, or RNA, to control cellular behavior for therapeutic purposes. CPPs have been used to treat immunological diseases through the delivery of immune modulatory molecules in vivo. Their intracellular delivery efficiency is highly synergistic with the cellular characteristics of the dendritic cells (DCs), which actively uptake foreign antigens. DC-based vaccines are primarily generated by pulsing DCs ex vivo with various immunomodulatory antigens. CPP conjugation to antigens would increase DC uptake as well as antigen processing and presentation on both MHC class II and MHC class I molecules, leading to antigen specific CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses. CPP-antigen based DC vaccination is considered a promising tool for cancer immunotherapy due to the enhanced CTL response. In this review, we discuss the various applications of CPPs in immune modulation and DC vaccination, and highlight the advantages and limitations of the current CPP-based DC vaccination.

        청소년기의 자원봉사 활동 참여가 대학진로에 미치는 영향

Third, participation the (p <, β = 05. 322) education appear to affect the satisfaction, spontaneity, but participation is shown to affect, but of wealth (-).Participation program needs to build a wide variety of activities to increase satisfaction and spontaneity appears to be. The threshold of the research is limited to investigate the target for volunteer participation in systematic and detailed activities required to conduct research. This study is adolescent participation in volunteer work college self respect persimmon, education in maturity, education, by analysing the impact on the course of volunteer participation .U nderstand the importance of factors proven effective for the course and a sense of the study. 본 연구는 대학진로를 위한 자원봉사 참여 활동의 영향을 파악 하고자 하였다 이를 위하여 전국시도의 인터넷 설문을 통해 95명을 대상으로 대학진로에 미치는 영향을 빈도, 요인, 상관관계, 회귀분석을 하였다. 연구의 결과 첫째, 참여 동기(p<.001, β =.656), 자발성(p<.001, β =.251)은 자아존중감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 참여 만족도는 청소년 봉사 활동프로그램이 자발적 보다는 점수 관리의 강제성이 많아 정책적 반영 되지 못하여 자아존중감에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 둘째, 참여 동기(p<.001, β .620)는 진로 성숙에 다소 높게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 자발성과 참여 동기는 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 나다 났다. 따라서 참여만족도와 자발성을 높이기 위한 다양한 활동프로그램 개발이 필요한 것으로 나타났다 셋째, 참여 동기(p<.05, β =.322)가 교육효과에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났으며 참여만족도, 자발성은 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년기 자원봉사 활동에 따른 대학진로에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 자아 존중감, 진로성숙, 교육효과에 대한 자원봉사 활동 참여 요인의 중요도를 파악하고 대학진로에 대한 효과성을 검증하는데 연구의 의미가 있다

        정밀 직교 피딩 로봇시스템 적용 롤 밴딩 공정 기술 개발

        본 연구는 기피공정중 하나인 롤밴딩 공정의 자동화시스템을 평가하였다. 그 결과 기존 1시간에 20개의 장약통을 생산하는 효율성을 1시간에 50개를 생산하는 공정으로 변화시켰다. 생산량의 평균값은 1시간당 57.6개의 생산, 반복정밀도의 오차는 0.03mm, 평균 롤 직경 오차값은 0.49mm, 평균 정렬 오차값은 0.09mm, 평균 공정리드타임은 43.21초로 나타났다. 생산성, 반복정밀도, 불량률, 얼라인 불량률, 공정 리드타임 등 구체적인 평가 방식을 제시하였다. 이를 통하여 자동화된 시스템을 검증하였다. 추후 본 연구에 수행된 내용들이 다른 자동화 시스템의 검증에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다. This study evaluated the automated system of the roll bending process, which is one of the difficult processes. In the past, 20 cartridges were produced per hour. but Automation changed it to a process that produces 50 pieces per hour. The average value of production was 57.6 pieces per hour, error of repeatability was 0.03 mm, average roll diameter error value was 0.49 mm, average alignment error value was 0.09 mm and average process lead time was 43.21 seconds. This paper presented specific evaluation methods such as productivity, repeatability, defect rate, alignment defect rate, and process lead time. It is thought that the contents performed in this study will be helpful in the verification of other automation systems in the future.

        호알칼리성 섬유소분해세균 Pseudomonas sp.의 분리 및 특성

        An alkalophilic bacterium, the strain AC-711 as a potent producer of alkaline cellulase, was selected among many isolates from soil environments. Morphological, physiological and chemical characteristics of the strain AC-711 suggested that it belongs to the genus Pseudomonas according to the Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology, however the G+C mol% (54.43) of its chromosomal DNA is lower than the normal values of the genus. The major cell wall fatty acids were determined as 15:0 and 17:0 anteiso. The production of alkaline CMCase by the strain was maximal when grown on the medium containing 1% carboxymethyl cellulose, 0.1% KH_2PO_4, 0.02% CoCl_2, 0.02% Tween 80, 0.5% Na_2CO_3, 0.8% yeast extract, pH 10.3 at 30℃ for 3 days, and the most of enzyme was excreted into culture medium.

        Comparison of Antinociceptive Effect and c-Fos Expression of Pre- versus Posttreatment with Intrathecal Neostigmine on the Formalin Test Hye Weon Shin, M.D., and Sang Ho Lim, M.D. Department of Anesthesiology, Korea University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea Background: Intrathecal neostigmine produces antinociceptive effects in many pain tests. Comparei-sons of pre-versus postinjury drug interventions have been made using the formalin test as a model for central sensttization. The purpose of this study was to compare behavioral antinociceptive responses with spinal fos-like immunoreactivity (FLI) in an intrathecal neostigmine injection between pre- versus post-formalin administration in a rat pain model. Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats (250-300 g) were prepared with a PE 10 indwelling intrathecal catheter to receive either saline or neostigmine. The formalin, test was performed on the second day after surgery with 5% 100 ??. All rats were randomly divided into one of five groups; Sham, basal, control, pretreatment or posttreatment group. The Sham group (n = 4) rceived a dry needle at the hindpaw and the basal group (n = 6) received saline 100 ?? at the hindpaw. Saline 20 ?? was injected intrathecally after the formalin test in the control group (n = 8). Neostigmine (7.5 ??/10 ?? in volume) was administered intrathecally 7 minutes before the formalin test in the pretreatment group (n = 8) and 7 minutes after the formalin injection in the posttreatment group (n = 8). Pain related behavior was quantified by counting the incidence of flinches of the injected hindpaw for 60 minutes. Two hours after injection of formalin, animals were perfused with PBS and the spinal cords were removed immediately. The effect of pre- versus posttreatment with the neosigmine of c-Fos protein in the cord was examined by immunohistochemistry using specific antibodies. Immuno-positive cells in laminae Ⅰ-Ⅱ and Ⅲ-Ⅴ in the lumbar enlargement were calculated. Results: Intraplantar formalin injection produced a biphasic appearance of the flinch behavior (phase 1 = 0-5 minutes, phase 2 = 20-60 minutes) in the control, pretreatment and postreatment groups. In the pretreatment group, rats showed less remarkable phase 1 and 2 responses than other groups. Flinches of phase 1 were 2.3 ?? 2.1, 33.2 ?? 7.6 (P < 0.05 vs. basal), 10.0 ?? 6.6 and 33.0 ?? 13.4 (P < 0.05 vs. basal) in basal, control, pre- and posttreatment groups respectively. flinches of phase 2 were 0.3 ?? 0.5, 224.5 ?? 66.4 (P < 0.05 vs. basal), 120.6 ?? 151.3 and 187.5 ?? 76.8 (P < 0.05 vs. basal) in basal, control, pre- and posttreatment groups respectively. Similarly, the pretreatment group virtually inhibited formalin-indeced expression of FLI (P < 0.05 vs. control, posttreatment) in the laminae Ⅰ-Ⅱ ipsilateral to injection. The posttreatment group inhibited formalin-indeced expression of FLI (P < 0.05 vs. control) in the laminae Ⅲ-Ⅴ ipsilateral to injection. Conclusions: Pretreatment of intrathecal neostigmine inhibits nociceptive behaviors and FLI in the laminae Ⅰ-Ⅱ following formalin injection in rats, suggesting that pretreatment plays an important role in the development of plasticity in this model.       • 正常成人과 癌患者에 있어서 Pseudocholinesterase와 肝機能檢査値의 比較硏究

        Plasma cholinesterase has been called pseudocholinesterase, because it hydrolyzes many esters, as well as acetylcholine. Pseudocholinesterase, which is mainly distributed in the serum, is synthesized in parallel with serum albumin by the liver and is reduced by liver injury or liver disease. Many observations have been suggested that measurement of pseudocholinesterase may be of value in following the course of liver disease or estimation of liver function. The purposes of this study were to investigate the normal plasma cholinesterase activity and to evaluate it as a test of liver function. Eighty patients without abnormal liver function in physical status I(adopted by American, Society of Anesthesiologists) and thirty two cancer patients, aged from 20 to 39 years were studied. Venous blood was collected before induction, placed in haparinized tubes, centrifuged and the plasma stored at 4℃ until assayed. The plasma cholinesterase value was measured by Wako kit and JASCO UVIDEC 77 clinical spectrophotometer. The results are follows; 1. In normal subjects, mean value of plasma cholinesterase was 1271.3±201.6 IU/l and normal range was 866±1677 IU/l. 2. In cancer patients, mean value of plasma cholinesterase was 948.8±123.9 IU/l. 3. The result of measuring correlation coefficient of plasma cholinesterase and liver function, tests revealed that albumin had the most significant correlation. 4. The result of comparison of liver function tests of cancer patients against normal persons showed that plasma cholinesterase decreased and cholesterol and alkaline phosphatase increased.
