With drastic change in the market and technology of medical devices, a comparative analysis is necessary in advanced systems internationally in order to prepare domestically applicable plans for improvement in classification and differential grade management for items of medical devices. This research examines and analyzes the differences of definition and legal systems of medical devices among Korea, United States, EU, Japan and China, and investigates classification and grading system of each country to identify disadvantages of classification and grading structures for medical device in Korea. This research suggests ways to supplement the disadvantages of domestic classification and grading system of medical devices, and elicits differential management plans for medical devices.
중년남성의 가족기능성, 자기효능감이 은퇴불안에 미치는 영향

Objectives: This study was designed to determine the effects of middle-aged men’s family functionality and self-efficacy on their retirement anxiety, in order to produce methods to alleviate this anxiety, including providing basic information for devising programs that help middle-aged men get better adjusted to and increase their awareness about retirement. Methods: For data collection, the study surveyed 364 middle-aged men who were residing in B Metropolitan City from February. 10 to 25, 2017. Results: This study found that the primary factor influencing middle-aged men’s retirement anxiety is self-efficacy, for which the explanatory power for the surveyed men’s retirement anxiety was 52.0%. In contrast, family functionality had no effect on retirement anxiety. Conclusions: To make middle-aged men less anxious about retirement, a variety of programs must be created and implemented that help them improve their self-efficacy prior to retirement. Furthermore, these men should be provided with educational and intervention programs that facilitate their adjustment to retirement and increase their awareness about retirement.

Silicon monoxide (SiO) is regarded as a strong candidate for next-generation lithium ion battery anodematerials because of its high energy density, low cost, and relatively low volume expansion comparedto silicon (Si). However, the intrinsic low electrical conductivity and non-negligible volume expansionlimit the practical application of SiO. Herein, dual-carbon-confined hydrangea-like SiO clusters are developedvia chemical vapor deposition (CVD) growth, followed by a spray drying approach as a novel anodematerial for high-performance and stable lithium ion batteries. The evolution of the buffer layer alongwith sufficient void spaces to alleviate the volume expansion, besides the increased electrical conductivity,contributes to the improved discharge capacity of 1071 mAh g 1 after 200 cycles at a high currentdensity of 0.75 A g 1 with a low expansion ratio of 9%. The distinct dual-carbon-confined hydrangealikestructure leads to synergistic improvements in battery performance, which will pave the way for promotingthe commercial application of silicon-based anode materials.
에너지 절약 시범학교에서 실시한 프로그램의 교육적 효과에 대한 연구

본 연구는 에너지 절약 시범학교의 프로그램이 학생들의 과학관련 태도와 에너지 절약 의식 및 행동 반응, 에너지 개념 이해에 어떤 효과가 있는지 알아보는데 목적을 둔다. 그에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 에너지 절약 시범학교 프로그램은 학생들의 과학관련 태도 향상에 효과가 있었다. 과학관련 태도의 하위요소 3개 모두 유의미한 결과가 나왔다. 둘째, 에너지 절약 시범학교 프로그램은 학생들의 에너지 절약 의식 및 행동 반응에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 에너지 절약 시범학교 프로그램은 학생들이 에너지 개념에 대한 이해도를 높였으며, 성별에 따른 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 위와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 지속적인 에너지 교육의 중요성, 과학탐구와 관련된 에너지 교육 등 후속 연구의 필요성에 대하여 제언한다.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report that Korean medical treatment is good for deteriorated moderate allergic skin after taking lotus root while getting treatment for contact dermatitis by pain relieving patch.Methods : A 54-year-old woman patient with allergic contact dermatitis received treatment with acupuncture, herbal medicine, etc. We used observation and Visual Anologue Scale(VAS) to evaluate recovery from erythema, pruritus and skin damages.Results : A visible symptoms to the naked eye and VAS scale were effectively decreased after Korean medicine treatments.Conclusions : Korean medical treatments were effective for allergic contact dermatitis deteriorated by lotus root while getting treatment contact dermatitis by pain relieving patch.
Oil consumption and economic growth: A panel data analysis

Oil is obviously vital for economic growth and industry development. This paper attempts to explore whether or not there is a inverted-U relationship between oil consumption and economic growth. To this end, we employ a panel data analysis with fixed effect or random effect models using the set of data from 61 countries for the year 1990-2008. In conclusion, a statistically significant inverted-U relationship between per capita consumption of oil and per capita GDP is found. However, the level of per capita GDP at the peak point of per capita oil consumption is estimated to be 65,072 in 2005 international constant dollars, which is much larger than economic scales of sampled countries. Thus, as per capita GDP grows, per capita oil consumption is predicted to increase until eventually reaching the peak.
전기자극의 강도와 측정전극의 간격이 감각신경신호의 파라미터에 미치는 영향 연구

This study was designed to investigate the effects of stimulation intensity and inter-electrode distance on the parameters of the measured sensory nerve signal. 30 healthy subjects participated in this study. Sensory nerve signals were elicited by four different pulse amplitudes, i.e., 3, 6, 9, 12 mA, with the pulse width fixed at $500{\mu}s$. The sensory nerve signals elicited by the four different pulse amplitudes were measured by four different inter-electrode distances (20, 30, 40, and 50 mm). We extracted four parameters (pulse amplitude, pulse width, pulse area, and latency time from stimulation) from the sensory nerve signals. The measured pulse amplitude and pulse width were increased when the measuring inter-electrode distance was increased while the stimulating pulse amplitude was fixed. The measured pulse amplitude was saturated with the stimulating pulse amplitudes of over 6 mA while measuring inter-electrode distance. Under the same condition, measured pulse width was increased, and sensory nerve signal was initiated early. Sensory nerve signals, specially those of pulse amplitude, were distorted by a differential amplification method that commonly measures the human body signal. The experimental results indicate that the differential amplification method is required to be replaced when measuring nerve signals. Our observations suggested that the hyperpolarization of the action potential of the sensory nerve signal for preventing distortion could be used to clarify the correlation between the parameters of the sensory nerve signals and quantification of sensations.
