In this paper we examine potentials of a spreadsheet program, one of the most widly available software system, as a mathematical optimization modeling tool. For an illustrative example, a shortest path problem is modeled on Lotus-123 for practical use and an implementational framework and a general guide to the spreadsheet modeling of network analysis is provided.
퍼지논리를 이용한 α-cut 자동 설정 기반 퍼지 이진화

영상 이진화 기술은 객체와 배경을 분할하는 과정으로 영상 분석 및 인식 분야에 널리 적용되고 있다. 기존의 이진화 방법은 임계치를 설정하는 과정에서 객체와 배경의 명암 차이가 크지 않을 경우에 불확실성이 존재한다. 이러한 문제점을 개선한 퍼지 이진화는 객체의 특징을 효과적으로 이진화 하지만 ${\alpha}$-cut값을 정적으로 설정하기 때문에 객체의 특징들이 손실된 상태로 이진화 되는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 평균, 반복, Otsu 이진화 방법들의 임계치를 이용한 퍼지 소속 함수를 구하여 ${\alpha}$-cut값을 동적으로 설정하는 방법을 제안한다. 다양한 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법은 기존의 이진화 방법 및 퍼지 이진화 방법보다 배경과 객체들의 손실이 적은 상태로 이진화된 것을 확인하였다. Image binarization is a process to divide the image into objects and backgrounds, widely applied to the fields of image analysis and its recognition. In the existing method of binarization, there is some uncertainty when there is insufficient brightness gap between objects and backgrounds in setting threshold. The method of fuzzy binarization has improved the features of objects efficiently. However, since this method sets ${\alpha}$-cut value statically, there remain some problems that important features of objects can be lost during binarization. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a binarization method which does not set ${\alpha}$-cut value statically. The proposed method uses fuzzy membership functions calculated by thresholds of mean, iterative, and Otsu binarization. Experiment results show the proposed method binaries various images with less loss than the existing methods.
파르보바이러스 B19 감염에 의한 태아수종 - 부검 2예 보고 -

Hydrops fetalis (HF) is a disease characterized by generalized subcutaneous edema and cavity effusion in the fetal stage. We report here on two autopsy cases of HF that were caused by parvovirus B19 (PVB19) infection. The human PVB19 is an erythrovirus that cause diverse clinical manifestations ranging from an asymptomatic or mild presentation to more severe effects such as hydrops fetalis, and this is the only known human pathogenic parvovirus. The gestational ages of the two fetuses were 21 weeks and 23 weeks, respectively. Both fetuses were hydropic and anemic. Hepatic tissues of both fetuses demonstrated erythroblasts with eosinophilic intranuclear inclusions, the so called "lantern cells". PVB19 was confirmed by electron microscopy and immunohistochemical staining. For the diagnosis of this disease, recognition of parvovirus infection as a cause of hydrops fetalis and careful examination of red blood cells with a high-power view are required.

Background : Hydrops fetalis is defined as abnormal accumulation of serous fluid in two or more fetal compartments, and this malady is known to be associated with various pathologic conditions. Methods : We collected 149 cases of hydrops fetalis out of 2,312 autopsies, and we tried to elaborate the underlying causes of hydrops fetalis. The diagnosis was based on the material from either antenatal termination or intrauterine death. Results : The relative incidence of hydrops fetalis was 6.44% of all the pediatric autopsies we performed. The gestational age was evenly distributed from 18 to 33 weeks, except for 30 to 31 weeks. There was no sex difference in the incidence of hydrops fetalis. The main causes were cardiovascular diseases (30.9%), cystic hygroma (13.4%), chromosomal anomaly (8.05%), thoracic conditions (7.38%), followed by urinary tract malformation (4.03%), infection (4.03%) and anemia (3.36%). The most common chromosomal anomaly was Turner syndrome and the second one was Down syndrome. Conclusion : Since various conditions can be the cause of hydrops fetalis, pathologists should pay attention to elaborate the underlying causes in every single autopsy.
실리콘 웨이퍼 공급사슬관리 시스템 구축에 관한 연구 : ㈜ LG 실트론 사례를 중심으로

실리콘 웨이퍼는 소비자의 요구에 따라 그 전기적, 물리적 특성을 다르게 하여 개별 생산되는 다품종 주문형 제품이다. 따라서 소품종 대량 생산품과는 다론 공급사슬 구조를 갖는다. 즉 소품종 대량생산의 경우에는 공급사슬 내 정보의 지배적 흐름이 계획생산을 하는 생산자를 증심으로 원료공급자와 소비자의 방향으로 각각 push 되는 것이 일반적이다. 반면, 주문형 다품종 소량생산에서는 공급사슬 내 정보의 지배적 흐름이 시장의 가변적 수요에 따라 소비자를 중심으로 생산자를 거쳐 원료공급자 방향으로 pull 되는 특징을 갖는다. 특히 실리콘 웨이퍼와 같이 R&D가 필수적으로 수반되는 제품의 경우에는 소비자로부터의 신제품 개발요구가 번번하기 때문에 그 개발과정에서 발생하는 생산자와 소비자 간의 정보유통과 피이드 백이 공급사슬 안에 유기적으로 포함되어야 한다. 이 글은 (주) LG 실트론의 실리콘 웨이퍼 공급사슬 관리 시스템 구축에 관한 사례연구이다. 이 시스템의 구조는 다품종 주문형 제품의 공급사슬 관리 시스템의 특징과 요소를 잘 반영하고 있으며 향후 R&D를 기반으로하는 기술집약형 주문 제품의 경우에 응용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. A silicon wafer is a highly customized product made to the -indiv dual order varying its electrical and physical characteristics. Therefore, it has distinctive supply chain structure from highly standardized commodity product. For high-volume/high-standardization product, it is general that a main stream of information flow initiated by the production ; planning of the manufacturers is usually directed to push both ways in a supply chain: upstream to the suppliers and downstream to the customers. Contrastingly, for low-volume/high-customization product, the information flow triggered by the fluctuating customer demand usually propagates upward to the suppliers through the manufacturers. ,Furthermore, for R&D based hi-technology product like silicon wafer, the interactive information feedback mechanism between manufacturer and customer, which is essential to the new product development process,; is to he embedded in the supply chain. This article is a case study of supply chain management system of LG Siltron, a major Korean silicon wafer manufacturer. The SCM system entails special information structure fitting well typical high-variety/high-customization product, and also , gives fin application possibility to the R&D based high-technology product made to the individual customer order.
