This study is intended to investigate contents related to parents' perception and satisfaction level of school mathematics curriculum. Based on the results, this study intended to deduce implications for mathematics education in schools, child education, and parent education. According to the result of the survey, the more positively the parents perceived the value of the mathematics learning, the more positively the child perceived, and the higher the parent's participation rate in mathematics-related education was. In terms of perception of teaching and learning activities, it showed that the willingness to participate in educational programs was lower for the parents of middle and high school students than the parents of elementary school students and the parents of elementary school students also showed higher satisfaction level of school mathematics curriculum. parents have perceived the necessity of teaching and mathematics education to develop artificial intelligence or data analysis skills. It was also found that the parents of middle and high school students’ participation experience in education had an effect on the satisfaction level of their children's math teacher's class preparedness. Parents perceived positively to how pragmatic mathematics curriculum can be and provided answers to what they wish in specific mathematics classes in learning methods and future mathematics learning. As this is for educational experts to consider much in-depth in the future, this study suggested the need for diverse parents’ education related to mathematics including the expansion of mathematics education with parents’ participation, the creation of a mathematics learning environment for future mathematics learning.

This study is intended to develop a numeracy program for late-adult learners. For this study, firstly, characteristics of numeracy were analyzed and based on those characteristics, numeracy learning contents for late-adult learners were selected. Also, teaching and learning materials were developed by linking the mathematics contents selected to experience-based real lives of late-adult learners. When this numeracy program was applied to late-adult learners, it was observed that there was a change in the affective domain like interest at the early stage of learning and that as learning continued, mathematical elaboration occurred by way of mathematical formalization. In conclusion, this study has significance by re-defining arithmetic for late-adults from a perspective of numeracy, based on experience of late-adults, and making a contribution to mathematical elaboration of late-adult learners so non-formal problem-solving processes of lat-adult learners can be justified as elaborate mathematical problem-solving.

The purpose of the study is to develop advanced program in geragogy and thus contribute to related disciplines and their studies. The study meta-analyzed 20 domestic journals released in the last decade whose purposes were to examine the effects of the seniors education on cognitive and affective domains. 288 journals were searched from the Academic Research Information Service from the October 1st to 14th in 2015. Among them, 20 journals including 136 individual studies were finally selected to be meta-analyzed using standard in means difference and random-effects. The results were observed as follows: most of the studies had focused on Seoul and metropolitan area , and hospitals and facilities for elderly, and the number of sessions were mostly 6 to 15 times. They mainly used MMSE-DS, K-MMSE, KGDS and Self-Integration checklist as measurement tools. The whole effect size of the 136 individual studies turned out to be 1.039, of which value clearly indicates the great effectiveness of the senior s education. The effect size of psychology was the biggest among the Majoring Mediating Effect Category including societal health , retrospection and physical health . Also, among the dependent variables of psychological section, self-esteem , acceptance of aging and death and attitude showed quite a large effect size. In terms of frequency of observation, studies arranged 6 to 15 times of observation period were proved to have the most meaningful effect. Lastly, in order of effect size among the dependent variables was as following: self-esteem , acceptance of aging and death , depression , attitude , recognition and so on. Considering all these results together gives a clear indication that the geragogical programs included in the domestic journals were a success. This study has a great significance in that those results suggest useful information for criteria in making advanced program and effectiveness of the programs for seniors.

This study aimed to explore the current status of convergence education in higher education and to explore ways to promote convergence education by comparing the perceptions of students and professors on convergence education to conduct effective convergence education at universities. FGI and survey on convergence education were conducted for a month in 2019. 1,732 students and 187 professors participated in the survey, and statistical analysis was conducted. 32 participants including professors and students in total participated in FGI, and qualitative analysis was performed. The research results are as follows: consideration about convergence education, comparison of professors’ and students’ perceptions of convergence eduaction, demand for convergence education in higher education. This study is meaningful in that it is a fundamental research that presents directions for convergence education reflecting on the needs of university stakeholders.
