The clinical and pathological features were analyzed for 11 cases with intracranial ependymoma treated surgically at the Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center during the years 1987 to 1992. Tumor histology was reviewed individually and grouped into three categories(Cate-gories I to HI) according to the pathologic grade used by Nazar, et a16'. The correlation between the pathologic grade and prognosis after surgery was investigated. There were 2 cases(18%6) with category I histology, 5(45%) with category II histology, and 4(36%) with category 111 histology. The high recurrent rate. short recurrent interval, high rate of cerebrospinal fluid seeding and poor outcome were noted in patients with category IlI histology. The authors also investigated the recurrent interval according to the degree of tumor resection. The mean recurrent interval after surgery was 12 months in cases of subtotal resection and 33 months in a case of total resection. Tumors resected subtotally showed response to radiation and chemotherapy. In conclusion, the pathologic grade and the degree of tumor resection were regarded as important prognostic factors after surgery. Aggressive surgery with chemotherapy or radiotherapy were required in the management of intracranial ependymoma.
디스크 브레이크의 마찰면에서 발생되는 스퀼소음에 관한 실험적 연구

There are various noises generated by friction. Among the rest, eliminating squeal noise generated during braking is an important task for the improvement of vehicle passengers' comfort. The parameters affecting brake squeal noise are the material properties of the braking pad, the dynamic properties of the brake parts and the dimensions of the brake assembly etc. Also, the squeal noise changes its inherent form with the normal load and sliding speed. In this study, the characteristics of brake squeal noise generated by friction is analyzed experimentally. Thе experiment focused on the analysis of friction self-excited vibration and squeal noise level. Friction self-excited vibration is caused by the dry friсtiоn between pads and rotor, and occurs as a function of their relative sliding speeds. And Friction self-excited vibration is raised the brake squeal noise.

The purpose of this study analysis is evaluation of Safety Depressurization System function on PWR plant. The Safety Depressurization System is a system which releases steam from the pressurizer of Reactor Coolant System(RCS) and depressurizes RCS. There is a similar system in Boiling Water Reactor(BWR) type plant but the SDS with In-Containment Refueling Water Storage System(IRWST) is a new system to Pressurized Water Reactor(PWR). The current worldwide trend in a new PWR design is to implement a SDS with IRWST because of the advantages in installing IRWST. There have been also trials to install a SDS with IRWST to newly ordered domestic plant was that the domestic technical level for analysis and design of the system was not sufficient to do work. 안전감압시스템(SDS)의 주요 기능은 시스템의 압력이 운전 제한치를 초과하는 비정상적인 상황이 일어날 경우에 빠른 시간내에 안정적으로 발전소의 압력을 감압시켜 발전소를 정상화하는데 그 목적이 있기 때문에 이러한 기능을 만족시키기 위한 안전감압시스템의 설계 인자가 무엇인가를 찾고자 하였다. 시스템의 압력을 조절하는 가압기 상단부분의 안전 감압밸브를 열어 증기를 배출함으로 시스템의 압력을 낮추는데 증기 배출을 위한 배관 설계에 있어서 배관내의 과도 유동 상태를 실제 발전소 여건에 맞도록 전산 프로그램을 개발하여 안전감압시스템의 배관에서의 증기의 과도 유동 해석을 수행하였고 그 결과를 토대로안전감압시스템의 배관 및 배관 지지대 설계에 활용하고자 하였다.
냉시동시 촉매변환기 위치에 따른 배기 배출가스 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

In order to meet the stringent emission regulations and to protect our environment, many researches have been carried out to reduce exhaust emissions from automobiles. Among these, the close-coupled catalytic converter (CCC) shortens the activation time during the warm-up period by placing it as close as possible by the exhaust manifold. This study is an experimental study on the characteristics of emission by changing catalytic converter position for cold-start. The measurements are done a changing of the distance between exhaust manifold and catalytic converter. It measured temperature of exhaust manifold, before and after catalytic converter at each position of experimental condition. and measured the characteristics of emission which is HC. CO. CO₂and lambda at each position of experimental condition.
