The effect of stress induced phase transformation on $Al_2 O_3$ matrix dispersed with $ZrO_2-Y_2O_3$ has been studied. In order to determinate the mechanical properties three $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ composite series containing 1, 3 and 5 mole% $Y_2O_3$ were prepared. The starting materials were $Al_2O_3$ and $ZrO_2-Y_2O_3$ which was prepared from the aqueous solution of high purity $YCl_3$.$6H_2O$ and $ZrOCl_2$.$8H_2O$. Powder mixtures of $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ containing $Y_2O_3$ have been prepared by ball-milling with methanol and the samples were formed by isostatic press and sintered at 150$0^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs. After sintering. the specimens were polished for mechanical determination. The relative density of sintered specimens were also measured. It was found that the addition of 1, 3mole% to {{{{ { ZrO}_{2 } }} allowed full retention of the tetragonal phase in $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ but partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ) was produced by additions of 5 mole% $Y_2O_3$.The critical stress-intensity factor KIc of $A_2O_3-ZrO_2$ (containing 1 mole% $Y_2O_3$) composite materials increased with increasing $ZrO_2$ content, The maximum value of KIC=7Mn/$m^3$/2 at 20 mole% $ZrO_2$ exhibited about twice that of the $Al_2 O_3$ The modulus of rupture exhibited a trend similiar to KIC The maximum value of MOR was 580MN/m2. As the amount of Y2O3 increase it was observed that the maximum of KIC and MOR decreased : Additions of 3 mole% $Al_2O_3$ $Y_2O_3$ allowed the maximum of KIC 6MN/$m^3$/2 MOR 540MN/$m^2$ at 15 mole% $ZrO_2$ additions of 5 mole% $Y_2O_3$ allowed the maximum of KIC 5MN/$m^3$/2 MOR 410MN/$m^2$ at 10 mole% $ZrO_2$.

대용량, 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스가 일반화됨에 따라 컨텐츠를 저장하는 서버의 저장 장치 또한 대용량화되고 있다. 그러나 서버를 구성하는 다른 하드웨어 구성 요소에 비해 상대적으로 느린 저장 장치의 입출력 속도와 물리적 또는 논리적인 오류는 시스템 전반의 성능을 저하시키는 원인이 되고 있다. 또한 컨텐츠의 지속적인 증가로 인한 유연한 확장성이 필요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 소프트웨어 RAID 사용하여 저장 장치의 성능을 향상시키고 신뢰성을 높였으며, LVM을 사용하여 저장 장치에 확장성을 부여하였다. 리눅스 커널 2.4.x에서 제공하는 이러한 기능들을 사용하여 신뢰성과 확장성이 있는 저장 장치를 구현하고 성능을 평가하였다. The rapid growth of high speed multimedia services demands the large capacity of the server's storage that maintains the multimedia contents. Among the server's devices, the low I/O speed and physical or logical failure of storage device decrease the total performance of system. The continuous increase of multimedia contents require the flexibility of storage capacity. In order to solve the these problems, we propose the uses of software RAID and LVM techniques that provide the performance improvement and reliability of storage device and the flexibility of storage device respectively. In the LINUX 2.4 kernel, we implemented the reliable and flexible storage device and evaluated the performance of it.
차량 탑재용 컴팩트 디스크 플레이어의 전달률에 관한 실험적 연구

This study investigates the 3-axis transmissibility of the vehicle compact disk player's mainbase which is supported by dampers and springs. These dampers and springs as the important element ' determining the vibration performance of vehicle compact disk Player are used to minimize the vibration which is induced by driving the vehicle. In order to determine the analysis frequency band, we investigated the excitation frequency of road from the vehicle test. As the characteristics of damper and spring were changed, we carried out the vibration test and investigated the change of transmissibility, Also, we carried out the sensitivity analysis for transmissibility and we found out that the properties of damper were the dominant element in the vibration performance of vehicle compact disk player.
차량용 스피커의 콘페이퍼 변경에 따른 선형변수 측정에 관한 연구

스피커는 전기적인 형태의 에너지를 소리라는 음향에너지로 변환시키는 에너지 변환기기 또는 변환장치라 말할 수 있으며, 우리의 주변에서 쉽게 찾아볼 수 있는 장치이다. 특히 엔터테인먼트 공간으로서의 자동차에서 여러 가지 음을 재생하는 스피커는 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있어 적절한 스피커의 설계가 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 실험을 통하여 얻어진 선형인자를 이용하여 스피커를 선형모델로 수립하고, 스피커의 성능을 좌우하는 콘페이퍼(진동판)의 설계에 따른 특성을 조사하기 위하여 콘페이퍼의 중량을 변경시켜가며 스피커의 선형적 특성변수의 변화를 조사하였다. Speaker is the converting device which change electric energy to sound energy, and we can easily see the speaker. The speaker in the car as a entertainment space has an important function to play the various sound. Therefore it is important to design the appropriate speaker according to the installed device and position. In this study, the speaker is modeld to linear speaker model using the linear parameter measurement. In order to study the characteristics for the mass of cone paper, the mass of the cone paper is changed and the linear parameters of the speaker are studied using the experimental approach.

As automobile technology advances, a smoother ride with less noise is desired. In order to achieve these purposes, a study on the vibration and noise produced by a moving automobile was carried out and a model for tire vibration characteristics which influence the ride performance was developed. The model was verified through simulations and experiments. The developed model was then applied to a half car model and automobile vibrations were analyzed. The effects of tire design parameters on the automobile vibration energy were investigated. The results from laboratory and field tests confirm the validity of the analytical model. The 17-DOF half-car model was built to analyze automobile vibration. The characteristics of the nonlinear model for a shock absorber were applied to this model. The results from the present 17-DOF half car model incorporating the analytical tire model with tire design parameters, were compared with the 5-DOF half car model where the tire was modeled with linear springs. The results of the 17-DOF model are close to the experimental results. Using the 17-DOF model, the influence of tire design parameter were considered. According to the analysis results, the vibrations at seat/body/wheel were predicted by simulation and experiment.

Load test is performed to obtain the data to evaluate load carrying capacity and check static & dynamic characteristics of a structure by estimating the real behavior of bridge due to loading the load. The subject facility in this paper is a bridge located on the spiilway of dam and traffic is relatively less than most brige. Considering the age and operation rules of a dam, however, load test and structure programming analysis were performed to check current conditions for structure under in-depth inspection and the results of that analysis are shown.
