1945년 해방 이후 남북한이 분단된 현실에서 서로 다른 체제에 의하여 경제, 사회, 문화, 언어 등 모든 분야에서 이질적인 요소가 발생하였고 이제는 서로 간 차이가 깊어져 혼란스러운 부분도 생기고 있다. 특히, 소통의 근간이자 가장 기본적인 도구인 언어 역시 서로 다른 정치 문화의 영향으로 정책의 차이뿐만 아니라 실생활 용어에서도 차이가 뚜렷이 나타나기 시작하였다. 심지어는 국어사전에서 어휘의의미체계까지 다르게 나타나는 낱말들이 생겨나 언어 소통에 장애요소가 생기고 있다1~2). 한국은 세계에서 유일하게 남은 분단국가로서 민족통일을 위한 각계각층의 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 치의학 분야 역시 예외는 아니어서최근 급속히 통일에 대한 논의가 이루어지고 있으며 학계에서도 서울대학교 통일치의학협력센터가 설립되는 등 다양한 노력이 시도되고 있다. 이를 통하여 향후 남북한 간 치의학 교류가 활성화되기를 기대하고 있으며, 그를 위해서는 가장 기본인 남북한 간 용어의 차이에 대한 이해가 필요할 것이다. 그간 의학 분야에서는 몇 차례 이에 대한 연구 및 토의가 이루어져왔으나 치의학 분야에서는 2000년 허진영과이의웅의 논문1) 이 후 별다른 성과가 없는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 따라서 광복 70주년을 맞아 어느 때보다 통일에 대한 통합 논의가 활발히 이루어지고 있는 가운데 북한의 한글화 정책 변화와 이에 관한 실례를 바탕으로 남북한치의학 용어 사용의 차이가 어떻게 이루어지고있는지 살펴보고자 한다.

Dens evaginatus is a rare developmental anomaly in which an enamel-covered tubercle projects from the occlusal surface of a tooth. usually lower second premolar. When the tubercle fractures, the pulpal extension into the tubercle may be exposed, which results in early pulpal necrosis, periapical infection and even osteomyelitis. We found the dens evaginatus in 16-week-old fetal mandible. Microscopically, we observed the protrusion of dental papilla into the dental organ and hard tissue formation which will be the tubercle by serial section. This anomaly was reported to be very rare in tooth development of fetus, so we reported this finding with brief review of literatures.

An experimental apparatus was constructed to obtain vapor-liquid equilibrium data for CO₂/oil mixtures using mass analysis method with sample cylinder. Lubricants employed were POE (poly-ol ester) and PAG (poly alkylene glycol). The phase equilibria of CO₂/oil mixtures prevailed in an equilibrium cell were observed through a couple of sight glasses at the opposite ends. Data were obtained over the temperatures -10℃, -5℃, 0℃, 5℃, 10℃, 25℃, 40℃, 60℃, and 80℃ under pressures up to 14 ㎫ and then mole fractions were calculated, respectively. In general, more solubility of CO₂ is observed in POE than in PAG. Miscibility gap is closed for CO₂/POE mixture but not for CO₂/PAG.
Cooking Pattern and Quality Properties of Ground Pork Patties as Affected by Microwave Power Levels

This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of microwave power level on cooking properties of ground pork patties (fat level: 20%). Each patty was cooked from a thawed state to 76.7℃ (center temperature) in a microwave oven with power levels of 40% (360 W), 60% (540 W), 80% (720 W), and 100% (full power, 900 W), respectively. Cooking rate increased with power level, and the non-uniformity also increased with time during cooking. Overheating at the edge of the patties was observed for all power levels, and maximum temperature differences in between the edge position and center position were found in patties cooked at the 900 W power level. Compositional properties, total cooking loss, and drip loss were not affected by power level, although moisture content was lower at the edge than at the center position. As the power level increased, the reduction in patty diameter of cooked patties increased while the reduction in patty thickness decreased. Pork patties cooked at lower power levels (360 W and 540 W) had higher shear force values than those cooked at higher power levels (720 W and 900 W). Background : Low solubility and poor oral absorption have been major problems of DDB(Dimethyl Dime-thoxy Biphenylate), the liver protection agent. The purpose of the study was to evaluate safety, tolerablilty, and pharmacokinetics of DDB-S(Dimethoxybiphenylmonocarboxylate hydro-chloride) which was the newly developed soluble injectable form of DDB. Method : Single dose trial was conducted in 24 healthy Korean subjects with single blind, randomized, placebo controlled parallel-group design( 4 groups : 7.5, 15, 30, 60mg). DDB-S was administrated by intravenous infusion during 60 minutes. Serial blood and urine sample were collected till 24 hours after the drug administration. Plasma concentrations were assayed by HPLC. Pharmacokinetic parameters were analyzed by noncompartmental methods. Results : Total 13 cases of adverse events from 7 subjects were reported. All the events were mild, temporary, and spontaneously resolved. There were no differences in dose normalized AUC, dose normalized Cmax, CL, Vd, Tmax, Fe, $CL_R$ and elimination rate constant between groups. Linear regression analysis confirmed PK linearity within this dose range. Half of the dose$(49.86{\pm}10.97%)$ was excreted as an unchanged form through kidney. Conclusion : DDB-S was safe in Korean healthy subjects. It showed linear pharmacokinetic characteristics. Phase II clinical study for patients will be conducted.
