        Bio-diesel applications seem to be extended due to bio-diesel policies and changes of agricultural environment. This study was conducted to develop a rapeseed reaping equipment attachable to the conventional combine. This paper was intended to report concept design, process and manufacturing of the prototype rapeseed reaping equipment. For concept design, physical properties of “SUNMANG”, which is a typical rapeseed as bio-diesel materials, were considered. The designed prototype rapeseed reaping equipment consisted of wide-width plates, finger type knifes, side cutter knifes and drive equipments. The wide-width plate is 2.1 m wide, 0.7 m long, and 0.002 m thick. The finger type cutter knifes have 14.5 fingers, 30 knifes, and the specification was 7.6 cm of pitch, 8.3 cm of length and 21° of cutting angle. The side cutter knifes consisted of a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor, a flow control and a relief valve, a hydraulic hose, a driving equipment and a reciprocating cutter knife. The 18 reciprocating cutter knifes were 137 cm long and knife pitch, knife length and cutting angle were 7.7 cm, 10.5 cm, and 18°. Prototype weight of the rapeseed reaping equipment was heavier by 272 kg when compared with the manual reaping equipments. Load distributions of left and right side showed 50% and 49%, and those of front and rear side showed 64% and 36%. Static turn-over angles in left and right of the prototype were 38.1° and 38.7°, respectively. The designed prototype rapeseed reaping equipment was properly mounted at the front of a conventional combine.

        일본의 농작업 로봇 개발 동향 분석

        In order to distribute agricultural robots to the fields, based on the review of Japanese trends, three preliminary tasks and implications for the development of agricultural robots in Korea are derived as followings. The first result is that farmers are small-scale, agricultural robot is necessary to standardize through the public-private partnerships and reduce the supply price through the utilization of existing technologies and components. Secondly, the car-based robots are GPS-based system, and it is necessary to construct a nation-wide regional base stations that can trensmit the GPS correction signals free of charge in real time. Third, additional research is needed to cope with the unexpected situation in the fields, such as obstacle avoidance technology, robot safety evaluation technology, and safety standard development. In addition, although agricultural robots are being developed in Korea, a step-by-step approach is necessary for solving the above-mentioned pre-requisites for field distribution. In the first stage, it is necessary to supply an autonomous straight guidance system that assists the worker. The second stage is the spread of cooperation system between human and robot. The third stage is a complete robot system, in which the robot works on its own. Therefore, the supply of agricultural robots needs to be approached sequentially.

        Nano-Composite Manufacturing Using the Electro- Orientation Method of Micro/Nano-Particles in a Liquid Polymer with Mechanical Characteristics Analysis

        A new technology for manufacturing micro/nano composites by utilizing an electric field to fabricate particle orientations in a polymerliquid state is developed and its thermo-mechanical properties are tested. This method allows the manipulation of the local orientationof the submerged micro/nano size particles in a liquid matrix. The study demonstrates that the technology is able to locally manipulatethe particle orientation and applicable diverse metal/non-metal inclusions in a polymer matrix. The theoretical background of thisprocess includes the dielectrophoresis, diploe moment, and electrophoresis of particles in a polymer matrix. Electrophoresis is animportant phenomenon in the orientation of non-spherical particles in a continuous phase. Attempts were made to distribute severaltypes of metal and non-metal particles in a liquid epoxy, in order to test the effects of electrophoresis under an electric field; therotation and alignment of the particles were clearly observed and pictures were taken. The mathematical models of the kineticmovements caused by the electrophoretic force are also presented here. The results obtained from the experiment indicate theeffectiveness of the proposed method and validate the suggested mathematical models, including all of the expanded manipulation.

        표준 질소시비량이 감소된 조건에서 쌀 품질 향상과 노력절감을 위한 질소 시비방법

        표준시비량이 감소된 조건에서 좀 더 효율적인 질소시비방법을 확립하고 이들이 벼 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 연차, 지역 및 품종별로 질소시비방법을 달리하여 검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 연차, 지역 및 품종에 관계없이 질소의 수비시용 시기에 따른 수량과 현미단백질 함량에는 차이가 없었고, 질소분비비율을 기비-분얼비-수비로 50-30-20 혹은 70-0-30으로 하여 질소시용시기를 출수 전 25일에서 출수 전 15일로 늦출 때 현미 천립중과 현미완전미 비율이 증가하여 고품질쌀 생산에 유리하였다. 2. 쌀 수량, 현미천립중, 현미완전미율, 현미단백질 함량 모두 일부 지역 및 품종에서 유의성이 인정되었으나 전체적으로 분산시비와 기비중점시비간 차이가 없었다. 따라서 사질답과 같은 토양 양분 유실이 많은 조건을 제외하고는 기비중점 시비로 관행에 비하여 수량 감소 및 품질저하 없이 생산노력비 절감이 가능한 것으로 판단된다. In Korea, standard N application level was amended from 110 to 90kg per ha for high quality rice production in 2005. So far, N application method, however, has not been considered for yield and quality based on changed standard N application level. Therefore, this experiment was conducted to find out more efficient N application method for improving rice quality or labor saving under the amended standard N application level with several varieties at three site (Suwon, Iksan, and Milyang) for two years from 2005 to 2006. Top dressing of N at 15 days before heading compared to the standard (25 days before heading) showed improved rice qualities such as 1000 grain weight and head rice ratio without changing rice yield and protein content of brown rice. In addition, there were no significant differences in yield and quality between different N split application of 70-0-30% and 50-30-20%, indicating that the former would be useful for labor saving without yield decrease and quality deterioration.

        벼 파종기에 따른 출수기 및 최종 엽수 변화와 출엽 모델에 의한 출수기 예측

        본 연구는 광안벼를 공시하여 지연일장의 인공기상실(21℃ 및 24℃ )과 포장 조건에서 파종기(최초 파종 일 4월25일, 최종 파종일 6월 5일) 이동에 따른 온도와 일장 변화가 출엽 및 출수기 변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하여, 일장에 따른 최종엽수 추정모델을 설정하였으며, 이 모델과 온도에 따른 출엽속도 모델을 결합하여 출수기 예측모델을 설정하여 모델의 출수기 추정 정확도를 검증하였다. 1. 포장에서는 4월 25일 이후 파종기가 늦을수록 생육기간 중 평균기온은 높아진 반면, 포장과 인공기상실 양 조건에서 일장감응기간(6엽기부터 유수분화기)중의 평균일장은 짧아졌다. 이에 따라 일장만 관여한 인공기상실에 비해 온도와 일장이 함께 관여한 포장에서 파종시기에 따른 출수소요일수 단축정도가 크게 나타났다. 2. 일장감응기간의 일장이 길어짐에 따라 최종엽수(FNL)가 증가하였으며, 이 관계는 다음과 같은 Rational 함수로 잘 표현이 되었고(R2 =0.98),이를 광안벼의 최종엽수 추정모델로 설정하였다. 여기서 D는 일장이며, a,b,c는 상수로서 각각 14.694, -0.992, -0.068로 추정되었다. 3.온도에 따른 출엽속도 모델과 일장에 따른 최종엽수 모델로 구성된 출수기 예측 모델을 구성하였으며, 모델 설정에 이용되지 않은 포장실험 자료를 이용하여 검증한 결과 추정된 출수기는 예측오차가 1-2일로 추정 정확도가 높았다. Sowing date experiments were carried out by employing a rice variety "Kwanganbyeo" in both field and phytotron with natural daylength. In phytotron, temperatures were controlled at daily mean of 21~circC and 24~circC . The responses of final leaf number and beading date were analyzed in relation to daylength during photo-sensitive period (PSP). Based on the component models predicting the final leaf number and leaf appearance rate, a rice phenology model was established and verified. Days from sowing to flowering (DSF) were shortened and final number of leaves (FNL) increased as sowing dates were delayed from 25 April to 5 June in field and phytotron. The increased leaf appearance rate (LAR) and the reduced FNL, respectively, due to the higher temperature and the shorter daylength in delayed sowings in the field brought about greater shortening of DSF than in the phytotron where only FNL was reduced by shorter daylength in delayed sewings. FNL showed very close relationship with the average daylength during PSP of six-leaf stage to panicle initiation, being well fitted to the following rational function (R2 =0.98):(equation omitted) where D is daylength and a, b, and c are the constants that were estimated as 14.694, -0.992, and -0.068 in Kwanganbyeo, respectively. The rice phonology model, which was composed of two component models for LAR and FNL, predicted DSF very accurately. The differences between the observed and predicted DSF was less than two days in the sewing date field experiments in 1999 and 2000 of which data were not used for the model construction.struction.
