This study derives numerical procedure which calculate optimum weight of steel Rahmen using a plastic moment distribution method. The optimum design values obtained by this procedure are compard with the results of references. As a result, it is found that this numerical procedure is economical in the initial design, because the results can be calculated by the calculator.

Seismic inelastic analysis was carried out to braced and non-braced fifteen-story steel frame designed based on SC-WB concept. EI Centro ground motion was applied with peak ground acceleration 02.g. 0.3g and 0.4g. Step by step integration method was used to solve dynamic equilibrium. The result of dynamic inelastic analysis in the case of 04.g was compared with that of elastic analysis. By the comparison of the linear elastic analysis and inelastic analysis, relatively smaller displacement in the case of inelastic analysis than linear elastic analysis was found and the fact that the formation of the plastic hinge has the effects of stress dispersion make economical design possible at the strong earthqauke.

결혼, 여성의 의무인가? - 18세기 영국 지식인 여성들의 선택

본 논문은 18세기에 새로운 결혼관이 정립될 때 영국의 여성지식인들이 이를 어떻게 수용했는지를 다루고 있다. 특히 당대의 진보적인 여성관을 주도한 메리 울스톤크래프트와 블루스타킹의 결혼관을 비교분석하여, 그들의 지향점이 약간씩은 달랐음에도 불구하고 결혼은 남녀의 자유로운 의사에 의한 결합이어야 한다는 계몽주의적 견해를 공유했음을 밝혔다. 이들은 결혼이 당시 남성지식인들의 주장대로 `여성의 의무`라는 담론을 넘어서서, 결혼은 특히 여성이 주도하는, 여성에 의한 선택이어야 한다고 강조하였다. 따라서 이들에 따르면 사회는 여성이 스스로 선택을 할 수 있도록 여성 교육을 허용해야 하며, 나아가 자발적인 비결혼여성, 즉 독신 여성의 사회적 활동을 보장하는 환경을 조성해주어야 했다. 아니면 적어도 여성들끼리 우정과 연대에 기초한 조직, 예를 들어 이전의 수녀원과 유사한 조직이나 오늘날의 기숙학교와 비슷한 기구를 인정해주어야 한다고 주장한다. 그리고 그들은 이러한 대안적 기구나 조직을 직접 만들어 여성 교육을 담당하고자 하였다. The purpose of this paper is to examine what was the thought of women intellectuals` about marriage in Eighteenth-Century England. At that time, the view of marriage of Enlightenment was spread out the intellectuals with step by step, that is a kind of social contract. Mary Wollstonecraft and the Bluestockings played a important role in proliferating this concept of marriage and they shared the opinion, especially that was the choice of woman. Even though they had viewed the `women`s question` in a different light, they persisted together that women have a right of the marriage and so need women`s education to prepare their own future by themselves. Furthermore, they also have had a attempt to build women`s social organization which founded on friendship and solidarity. It was Millenium Hall, a kind of convent or boarding school. Then it was explicit that they would have in mind, but come out, a solidarity and `new family` to replace the marriage.

2000년대 초반 여성정치세력화 담론은 여성의 과소대표성의 해소를 위한 할당제 도입을 둘러싸고 본격적으로 등장한 후, 참여보다 대표 중심의 여성정치세력화 운동과 여성운동의 제도화에 대한 강력한 비판 이후 교착 상태에 머물러 왔고, 이는 약화되고 정체된 여성정치세력화 운동의 반영이자 더불어 원인이 되기도 한다. 이 논문은 지역 여성운동가들과의 집담회 내용 분석과 2014년 지방선거에 전 대표의 출마를 지원한 수원여성회 경험에 대한 사례분석을 통해 여성운동이 정당정치의 경계를 건너는 과정에서 발생하는 긴장과 참여의 정치(politics of engagement)에서 갖게 되는 쟁점들을 구체적으로 진단함으로써, 여성정치세력화가 안고 있는 딜레마와 역설에 대한 이해를 돕고 실천 전략 모색에 일조하고자 한다. Since they emerged with the introduction of gender quotas to address the issue of women’s under-representation in the early 2000s, they have reached an impasse, raising critical questions as to whether the institutionalization of women’s movements can be seen as achievement or retreat and where to focus either on participation or representation. However, as women are still under-represented, the question of women’s political representation has been raised anew. This study explores the current terrain of the discourses and practices of women’s political empowerment by making content analysis on a number of roundtable with women’s groups in different regions and also the examination on the experience of Suwon Women’s Society who participated in election campaign as its former representative ran for a local councilor. In so doing, this paper aims to help enhance understanding of the dilemmas and paradoxes inherent in women’s political empowerment and contribute to seeking the strategies for the praxis for women’s political empowerment, grasping the tensions arising between women’s movements and party politics and also specific issues with which women’s movements face up to do the politics of engagement.

선거권 투쟁에서 `여성들`의 역사로 - 영국 여성사 연구 동향(2013-2014)

이 글은 『여성과 역사』 특집 기획 논문의 하나로, 현재 영국 여성사의 연구동향을 정리한 것이다. 연구 동향을 알기 위해 우선 영국의 여성사 관련 학회와 세미나를 소개하고, 2013년에서 2014년까지 영국에서 발행된 4개의 관련저널인 『젠더와 역사』Gender & History, 『역사적 작업 저널』Historical Workshop Journal, 『여성사 리뷰』Women`s History Review, 『영국사 연구』English Historical Research에 실린 논문과 서평을 분석하였다. 영국 여성사의 대표적인 기관인 <영국 여성사 네트워크>의 뉴스레터를 중심으로 그 동향을 살펴본 결과, 영국의 여성사에 대한 전체적인 경향을 한마디로 정의하기는 어려우나, 대체로 이전의 유명한 페미니스트와 영국의 대표적인 여성 운동인 선거권 투쟁에 대한 연구가 한쪽에서 꾸준히 지속되면서, 또 다른 한쪽에서는 새로운 주제를 발굴하고 있었다. 그리하여 기존 사료를 젠더적 관점에서 새롭게 보려는 시도의 일환으로, 기존 인물에 대한 재평가나 특정 사건에 대한 재해석이 두드러졌다. 그러면서 동시에 특히 여성의 `의무`로 인식되었던 기존의 모성성(Motherhood)의 개념을 새롭게 규정하면서 학제간 관련 연구가 진행되고 있었으며, 동성애(레즈비언)에 대한 연구도 눈에 띄게 늘었다. 다시 말해 영국의 여성사 연구 경향은 역사의 소재가 될 수 있는 거의 모든 영역에서 여성사 연구가 가능하다는 것을 보여주는 좋은 사례를 제시하고 있었다. This paper is written for a request of Korean Association of Women`s History, which is about a recent trend in English Women`s History. To do this work, I have reviewed four journals(Gender & History, Historical Workshop Journal, Women`s History Review, English Historical Research) and the newsletter of International Federation for Research in Women`s History (IFRWH). Especially, the conference of IFRWH will be held in Jinan, China, over 27th-29th August 2015 under the leadership of Vice-President, Dr Uma Chakravarti. The themes are WOMEN AND MODERNITY, RESISTANT SUBJECTIVITIES and SMALL/RECENTLY UNCOVERED ARCHIVES. As you might have been expected, those themes are very important in England too. I supposed that there is two unique trends in English Women`s History. On the one hand, which is the study of the Movement of Suffrage and the Suffragette, on the other hand, new subjects are inquired into multi-culture of feminism, for example, motherhood and gay culture(lesbian partnership) by younger generation of gender study. Generally speaking, if there were all the possibility of historical study, it would be all gender studies.
