낙동강 하류 물금과 을숙도 수환경의 진핵 플랑크톤 종조성에 대한 분자모니터링

We have studied the eukaryotic plankton species diversity to compare the community structure of fresh and brackish waters in the lower reaches of the Nakdong River using metagenomic methods. We constructed 18S rDNA clone libraries of total DNAs extracted from environmental water samples collected at Mulgeum (MG100929, fresh) and Eulsukdo bridge (ES, brackish). Through the steps of colony PCR, PCR-RFLP, sequencing and similarity analysis, we discovered the diverse species composition of eukaryotic plankton. Total 338 clones (170 at MG100929 and 168 at ES) were analyzed, and then we found 74 phylotypes (49 for MG100929 and 25 for ES). From the phylogenetic analysis, we confirmed various eukaryotic plankton of broad range of taxonomic groups, including Stramenopiles, Cryptophyta, Viridiplantae, Alveolata, Rhizaria, Metazoa, and Fungi. We also found several unreported species in Korea and candidates of new taxonomic entities at levels higher than genus. Especially, the cryptic species diversity including unreported phylotypes of Pirsonia (Stramenopiles) and Perkinsea (Alveolata) suggests that the molecular monitoring method can produce new informative biological data in monitoring the changes in the Nakdong River Mouth ecosystem.

상업 애니메이션에서 라이프 드로잉(Life drawing) 교육의 중요성

3D와 2D를 망라하여 라이프 드로잉(Life Drawing)은 캐릭터 애니메이션 교육과정에서 매우 중요한의미를 갖는다. 디즈니의 백설공주 제작을 위한 인체의 공부는 이후 디즈니가 장편 애니메이션과 기타애니메이션 분야에서 독주를 하도록 만들어준 비밀병기였다. 라이프 드로잉은 이러한 역사적인 배경을 가지고 현재까지도 디즈니가 세운 미국의 칼 아츠(California Institute of the Arts), 디즈니 출신 애니메이터들이 세운 캐나다의 쉐리던 칼리지(Sheridan College)등 유수 애니메이션 학교에서 전공 필수 과정이다. 그에 반해 라이프 드로잉이 실무에 더 가까워질 수 있는 영역임에도 불구하고 한국의 애니메이션 대학교에서는 아직 라이프 드로잉 교육의 필요성과 그 효과에 대해 그다지 강조되어 있지 않고 있음을 알 수 있다. 대학의 애니메이션 교육이 산업과 직접적으로 연관되어 있다는 것은 이제는 업계와 학계가 모두 아는 현실로서 학교에서는 좀 더 체계적이고 기본의 충실한 교육을 하여야 할 것이다. 그 기초 과목에 하나로 라이프 드로잉의 중요성을 다시 짚어보고 캐릭터 애니메이션을 전공과정으로 둔 대학들이 교육과정을 구성하는데 도움이 되고 그 교육과정을 이수한 학생들이 현업에 쉽게 자리 잡을 수 있게 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. Life drawing is one of the most important curriculum not only in 2D animation but also in 3D animation. It was secret weapon of Disney how they made great success of Snow White and Seven Dwarfs and all the fame of Disney animation. Life Drawing which has its back ground history is major curriculum of famous animation school such as CAL Arts which Disney made and Sheridan College in Canada. But in Korea, a lot of the universities and colleges which have animation department do not really seem to understand the importance of the life drawing and it's effectiveness, thus do not emphasize it as a short cut to get close to the real work field. Now that the academical society as well as industry are very well of the fact that the animation education is directly related to the animation industry, the schools should have to teach step by step and closer to the basic fundamentals. The intentions of this study is to emphasize the importance of the Life Drawing, one of the essential fundamental course, which not only help the universities and colleges that have animation course to organize their curriculum. but also to help the students who graduate the program easily find their position in the animation industry.

Interlaminar delamination is an important problem in applications of carbon fiber reinforced composites. Delamination occurs due to the presence of matrix cracks, causes fiber breakage, and results in the loss of stiffness and strength, which may lead to safety and reliability problems. In this study, the effect of polyethersulfone (PES) of the epoxy resin on interlaminar shear strength and fracture toughness of carbon/epoxy composites was investigated. Consequently, interlaminar bonding increased with proper addition of PES, but excess PES led to loss of interlaminar bonding of the carbon/epoxy composite.

팀 버튼의 조명 스타일과 비주얼 스토리텔링 연구

본 연구에서는 크리스마스의 악몽을 중심으로 팀 버튼이 조명을 어떻게 사용하였는지를 분석하여 그의 독특한 컬러 스토리텔링 스타일은 어떤 것인지 연구해 보았다. 분석결과 팀 버튼은 1930~60년대 B급 헐리우드 영화와 고전주의적 조명을 사용하였다. 그는 크리스마스의 악몽에서 조명을 이용하여 칼라를 강한 비주얼 스트럭쳐로서 사용하였고 이것은 작품의 일관된 몽환적 분위기를 유지하는데 상당한 기여를 하였음을 알 수 있었다. This study is based on Tim burton's 'The nightmare before christmas' and analyzation was made to see how he used lights and to understand his unique color visual story telling style. The analyzation revealed that Tim burton used second class hollywood movies of 1930~60's and classical lighting style. He used this lighting style in 'The nightmare before christmas' as a really strong visual structure which substantially attributed to maintains it's fantastic mood consistently.

레트로 디자인(retro-design)이 하이테크 제품에 대한 태도 및 구매 의도에 미치는 효과: 인지된 새로움의 매개효과를 중심으로

In this study we have examined how the usage of a retro-design, or the application of an old-fashioned design to products used today, on high-technology products affects consumer attitude and consumer purchase behavior towards the product. The combination of a retro- design, which is more associated with the past, and a high-technology product, which is more associated with the present or future, seems to be quite paradoxical. Thus, what kind of attitude consumers have and their intention for purchase towards the product can vary whether the high-technology product has a commonly used modern design or a retro-design. Particularly in this study, we aim to investigate the variation of product attitude and purchase intention by focusing on the mediating effect of perceived newness of the product. For this purpose, we have conducted two separate experiments. Experiment 1 was conducted in order to provide evidence that product design(modern design vs. retro-design) affects the product attitude and purchase intention of consumers towards a high-technology product. Results showed that consumers expressed more positive attitudes and higher purchase intentions when the high-technology product had a retro-design compared to a modern design. Moreover, the effect was completely mediated by the perceived newness of the product. In experiment 2, we examined how the effect of retro-design was moderated by the nostalgia proneness of the consumer. Results stated that the effect of retro-design on consumer product attitude and purchase intention was stronger when consumers had a weaker nostalgia proneness compared to a stronger nostalgia proneness. Specifically, consumers with a weaker nostalgia proneness had a more positive attitude and stronger purchase intention towards a high-technology product when it has a retro-design. This moderation was completely mediated by the perceived newness of the product, as in experiment 1. In conclusion, the study shows that, in the case of high-technology products, consumer product attitude is more positive and purchase intention is higher when the product is a retro- design. When a high-technology product has a retro-design, it is perceived as newer, which thereby affects the product attitude and purchase intention of consumers. This study contributes to the understanding of how a retro-design affects consumer perception, and has managerial implications in identifying the effect of retro product design on high-technology product purchase behavior.

쿠사마 야요이의 생성과 소멸의 반복을 통한 아트메이크업 연구

Recently, art makeup has evolved into a unique art genre in connection with many other art forms. Focusing on the fact that the technique expressed in modern arts is closely related with art makeup techniques, this study attempted to create art makeup based on the art world of artist Yayoi Kusama. The characteristics of expressive techniques used in her artwork were analyzed, and art makeup designs were created based on creation and destruction. The results of art makeup works that have been created based on her art piece scan be classified into three types: creation, destruction and repetition. First, in 'creation,' the diversification of forms by harmony between repetitive art makeup and art pieces was found through the creation of art makeup formed with repetitive motives and objects. Second, in 'destruction,' the possibility for the expansion of design genres and the development of creative design were opened by recreating forms caused by the repetitive deformation of motifs expressed in Yayoi Kusama's works with art makeup designs. Third, in 'repetition,' the possibility of creation that can reanalyze the repetition of creation and destruction, which is Yayoi Kusama's unique artistic characteristic, was suggested. This study intended to expand art makeup design and improve its formative art values by attempting creative expression methods in a diverse manner. In addition, it targeted creative and future-oriented development in art makeup by drawing continuous interest and encouraging related research activities.
