Taekwondo is a martial art form and sport that that uses the hands and foot for attack and defense. Taekwondo basic motion is composed of the breaking, competition and poomsea motion. In the side kick among the competition motion, the impact force is larger than other kinds of kicks. The side kick with the front foot can be made in two steps. In first step, the front foot is extended forward from back stance free-fighting position. For second step, the rear foot is followed simultaneously. Then, the kick is executed while entire body weight rests on the rear foot. In this paper, impact analysis of the human model for hitting posture is carried out. The ADAMS/LifeMOD is used in hitting modeling and simulation. The simulation model creates the human model to hit the opponent. As the results, the dynamic analysis and reaction force of human muscle are presented.
비디오 트랜스코딩 기법을 이용한 MPEG2의 MPEG 4 변환 모듈 설계

동영상 압축 규격은 각자의 응용 분야 별로 사용되어 왔기 때문에 다양한 통신망 및 방송망이 통합되어 가는 추세에서 보면 호환성 문제를 가지고 있다. 디지털 TV 방송 및 DVD 저장 매체용으로 MPEG-2의 활용하고, 인터넷 및 이동통신망 상의 멀티미디어 전송용으로 MPEG-4 의 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서 설계된 변환 모듈의 기능 모듈은 MPEG-2 형식에서 MPEG-4 형식으로 신택스 변환, 공간 해상 도 또는 영상 크기 감소로 인한 비트율 변환, 프레임율 감소로 인한 비트율 변환의 세부분으로 이루어졌다. 복잡도 및 변환시간을 감소시키기 위하여 입력 MPEG-2 의 모션 벡터를 재사용하는 방법을 적용하였으며, 해상도 변환은 픽셀 영역에서 다운 샘플링 방법을 이용하였으며 변환 범위는 CIF에서 QCIF 로의 수행하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 MPEG-2 및 MPEG-4의 신택스 및 알고리즘을 분석한 후 MPEG-4 인코딩시 계산량이 가장 많은 모션 추정을 하지 않고 입력 MPEG-2 의 모션 벡터를 재사용하는 트랜스코딩 알고리즘을 설계하여 변환 후에도 비트율 및 해상도를 유지시킬 수 있는 기능을 해석하였다.

During the crash, the crew was slowed down in a controlled manner by stroking/failing the landing gear, crushing the floor structure, and stroking the seat at a predetermined load before being subjected to the crash pulse which by then has been reduced to within human tolerance limit. In this paper, a method of modeling an occupant on a crew seat during a dynamic seat testing. The occupant model used a multibody approach. Body segments were modeled as joint with stiffness, damping, and friction. A helicopter-crew model for crash-simulation was developed, and the drop impact analysis of helicopter's crew was presented. The injury assessment of helicopter's crew was presented.
충격파치료를 이용한 상부 등세모근의 근막통증증후군 치료

Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is an effective treatment for myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) of upper trapezius. Methods Study subject were 20 patients (7 male and 13 female). The patients were evaluated by assessing of pain and function using visual analog scale (VAS) and pressure pain threshold (PPT) and Constant-Murley scale (CMS). Statistical analysis was used paired T-test to know significance probability between pre-test and post-test, Results There was no statistical significance in the change in PPT. But, VAS scores were significantly improved after ESWT (p<.05). Using the Constant-Murley score, this study showed a significant decrease in pain and a significant increase in range of motion of shoulder (p<.05), Conclusion These results indicate that extracorporeal shock waves therapy could be considered as an effective and efficient treatment modality for myofascial pain syndrome of upper trapezius.
니켈 치환된 스피넬 LiMn₂O₄ 박막의 구조적, 광학적 성질

졸-겔(sol-gel) 방법을 이용하여 스피넬(spinel) 구조를 가지는 LiNixMn2-xO₄ 박막을 x = 0.9 까지 합성하였다. 니켈 치환된 박막은 작은 x 값에서는 cubic 구조가 유지되지만, x ≥ 0.6 범위에서는 tetragonal 구조로 상전이가 일어남이 발견되었다. 이와 같은 cubic-tetragonal 상전이는 low-spin (t2g?, eg¹ 상태를 가지는 N³?(d?) 이온이 팔면체 자리를 차지하게 됨으로써 나타나는 Jahn-Teller 효과에 의한 것으로 해석된다. 이와 같은 Ni 이온들은 +3 및 +2의 원자가를 가지고 존재함이 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy 분석을 통하여 확인되었다. LiNixMn2-xO₄ 박막들에 대하여 가시광선-자외선 영역에서 spectroscopic ellipsometry(SE)를 이용하여 광학적 성질을 조사하였고, 그 결과 분석을 통하여 화합물 전자구조에 대하여 고찰하였다. SE 측정된 유전함수 스펙트럼은 주로 전하이동(charge-transfer, CT) 전이(transition)에 의한 넓은 에너지 영역을 가지는 1.9, 2.3, 2.8~3.0, 3.4~3.6 eV 근처의 흡수구조 들로 이루어져 있는데, O²?에서 Mn⁴? 이온의 t2g (1.9 eV)와 eg (2.8~3.0 eV)로의 전이 즉, O²?(2p) → Mn⁴?(3d) 및 O²?에서 Mn³? 이온의 t2g (2.3 eV)와 eg (3.4~3.6 eV)로의 전이 즉, O²?(2p) → Mn³?(3d) 등에 의한 것으로 해석된다. 또한, 1.6, 1.8, 1.9 eV 부근에서 관측된 좁은 에너지 영역의 흡수구조 들은 팔면체 Mn³? 이온 내에서의 d- d 결정장(crystal-field) 전이에 의한 것으로 해석된다. 이러한 흡수구조는 Ni 치환량이 증가함에 따라 그 강도가 감소한다. x = 0.6의 경우 eg 상태와 관련된 CT 전이구조 들이 t2g 상태와 관련된 전이구조 들에 비하여 큰 폭으로 감소하는데 이것은 Jahn-Teller 효과에 의해서 격자상수가 tetragonal 구조로 확장됨에 따라 eg 상태와 O²?(2p) 상태 간의 파동함수 중첩이 감소한 것에 기인하는 것으로 해석된다. Spinel LiNixMn2-xO₄ thin films were synthesized up to x = 0.9 by a sol -gel method employing spin-coating. The Ni-substituted films were found to maintain cubic structure at low x but to exhibit tetragonal structure for x ≥ 0.6. Such cubic-tetragonal phase transition indicates that Ni³?(d?) ions with low-spin (t2g?, eg¹) state occupy the octahedral sites of the compound, thus being subject to the Jahn-Teller distortion. By x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy both Ni²? and Ni³? ions were detected. Optical properties of the LiNixMn2-xO₄ films were investigated by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) in the visible-ultraviolet range. The measured dielectric function spectra by SE mainly consist of broad absorption structures attributed to charge-transfer (CT) transitions, O²?(2p) → Mn⁴?(3d) for 1.9 (t2g) and 2.8~3.0 eV (eg) structures and O²?(2p) → Mn³?(3d) for 2.3 (t2g) and 3.4~3.6 eV (eg) structures. Also, sharp absorption structures were observed at about 1.6, 1.7, and 1.9 eV, interpreted as due to d-d crystal-field transitions within the octahedral Mn³? ion. The strengths of these absorption structures are reduced by the Ni substitution. Rapid reduction of the CT transition strength involving the eg states for x = 0.6 is attributed to the reduced wavefunction overlap between the eg and the O²?(2p) states due to the tetragonal extension of the lattice constant by the Jahn-Teller effect.

To accomplish the crashworthiness for a vehicle structure, designer must consider three requirements. First one is sufficient living space. Second requirement is restraint system of the occupant to prevent injurious contact with the vehicle's interior or ejection from it. Third requirement is allowable impact force which is experienced by the occupant should be reduced to a tolerable level. Reducing of the crash energy for occupant, design is required a total system's approach with landing gear, floor structure, and seat. In this paper, a method of modeling a seat belt on a crew seat during a dynamic seat testing. The body segments of occupant were modeled as joint with stiffness, damping, and friction. Four type seat belt restraints system were treated. The safety performance of a occupant seat belt indicated that. the effectiveness of a safety device for crashworthiness and safety could be substantially improved.
