As a result of approaching and analyzing Giorgi’s phenomenological research method, six exposed structures and 26 semantic definitions were derived through the intrinsic structures of ‘meeting with family diseases’ and ‘power of family’. Through the results of the study, the meaning of the relationship between female alcohol dependents is “drinking and recovery according to the family,” which is in common with the background of drinking and recovery, and the difference is family relationships. They met with a family disease because they could not choose, but decided to recover through the family their chose. In the relationship with the family, female alcohol dependents have to make new changes and gain new power to remember the past. Based on these research results, practical discussions on family treatment in our society for female alcohol dependents and suggestions for future research were added.
